Ever since ikechukwu uche, we've not had anyone in the LA Liga flying our flag.

If he knows what's good for him, he should either seek transfer elsewhere or ask to be loaned out, unless his journey into irrelevance would be irredeemable.
I think we should know his status in the team first before calling for his exit from the club but with what i saw of watford against liverpool they dont look like a team in need of a certain isaac success,i mean they looked complete with no need of additions. Well, i pray its a minor injury or a knock that kept him out of the game,if not then his future at watford is really uncertain!

see line up!

Nigeria coaches are the most complex carbon chain there is. They are hard to understand.
Never been in support of this CHAN thing. An Under=21 tournament would have been better in place of it as it will also help us cap all this good foreign born players that England and the likes have been capping at their own Under-21 level ASAP.It will just be like a eagles B Team where talents who distinguishes themselves will be invited to the main Super Eagles team.Home based players will also be considered for selection ooo!

Please, feel free to call him anything you feel, no one would fault you, anyone that comes at you I'd jump to your defense without thinking.

I don't know what's with Nigerian players and their love for the premiership.

He'd have developed more in Spanish la liga.
Lol Baba,Couldn`t agree more.

You see that's the thing many people do not want to acknowledge here that with that move, Kayode's career trajectory might just be taking a turn for the better(no Best!). For the match against Cameroon I'd rather have him or Onyekuru as the CF, but Mikel seems to do a pretty good job at AMF currently does it better than Iheanacho and for Iheanacho to play as the Amf then Etebo must be benched but we can't afford to lose Etebo's work-rate. In the matches that Mikel has played, once he gets tired the team starts playing like crap and comes under severe pressure but against Algeria we never came under severe pressure because Etebo never stopped running even when Mikel got tired he was carrying the midfield alone, so for me he has to start.

On the wings, there should be zero reason for Iwobi or Moses Simon to start there, it's as if we have a truckload of wingers who can do serious damage, but the problem is that when the team list will be released, the same sentiments will be applied
Its as if you know my mind sir,i would definitely go with brains against cameroon than go with strength and physicality to match cameroon. No disrespect to Ighalo as he is on a terrific form but folks here have all but given him the no9 shirt just because he is in form not considering the difference between the chinese defenders that he has been scoring against and a very strong and physically imposing defenders he will face against cameroon. But i know he will get the nod ahead of a clinical nacho and a mobile and pacy kayode so lemme kukuma choose my team with him included. On the wings will be a forgoteen Sone Aluko and the Beast Victor Moses with Aluko dropping to the midfield when we are in possession or playing out from the back with Balogun, as his defence-splitting throughballs and nacho perfectly timed runs will be something cameroon can`t contain with that being one of their weaknesses which we can exploit as seen against Chile.Mikel and Ndidi marshalling the midfield with mikel playing more like a deep lying playmaker or box 2 box midfielder though he aint got the pace for a B2B midfielder but trust him to make up for that with his excellent positioning. My game=changing subs will be: The Workhorse Etebo to replace mikel,The pacy kayode to replace ighalo while The highly technical Iwobi will replace Aluko. You can see that even Nigeria have very good depths.

Dribbles 3, Tackles 6, Interception 1, Clearances 4. His long throw is also a thing of beauty as it caused all sort of problems fof the opposition

Better. Success should have stayed.
I wont like to say success is a dummy.Success had an offer from atletico madrid but let granada decide his future as you know granda and watford has same owner and also the lure of playing footy in England at his early age which my boy thinks is an achievement played a part in his watford move.Simeone was said to have liked his style of played as you also all know atletico madrid plays a rugby type of football which makes success suit their team well as he is very physical. Atletico would have offered him good development under a good coach like simeone but our boy went to England to show off hairstyles and the likes. Now he is not even in the watford matchday squad anymore.

Watched the guy few days ago and i can tell you he is a beast in the air.But he still has a long way to go as his footwork, decision making in the final third and a whole lot required of a modern day CF is lacking in his game but i believe he can improve.Sadiq,Osimhen and Dessers ahead of him for now in my own pecking order.

At first I thought this was a bad movie but when I sat down to think about it I figured out some things.

This is a brilliant move for the player and for the Super Eagles. While Pep is selling Iheanacho(and putting his buy back clause at 50mill which we know no European team will pay for an African), Pep is making a direct phone call to Kayode. Players like Kayode have always been an integral part of Pep's strategy, players of average height who can press like 2 men so that his main man can conserve his strength and do damage at specific times, Henry pointed this out long ago. In Barcelona it was Pedro, when Ibra came it was either he or Messi was going to start pressing for two and Ibra wasn't ready hence the reason why he was sold and Pedro kept his spot all through. At Bayern he had Douglas Costa and when he wasn't around, Muller was instructed to press so that Robben can be free to attack and conserve strenght. But in Man City he has no one, Sterling is a fraud but he remains relevant because he can press, Aguero doesn't press, Jesus neither and both players would rather drop deep and help develop player. Pep did try to improve Iheanacho's pressing abilities so he can be the workaholic but it never worked out hence the reason why he was sold not loaned. Naturally if Pep still wants you, he will loan you to a possession based team( Rafinha to Celta, Borjan to Ajax etc). So him loaning out Kayode to a coach with a similar philosophy shows that he intends to use him so this is a brilliant move.
Brilliant write up sir! This write up prompted me to go watch kayode`s past season highlight on the tube and i can clearly see why Pep wants Kayode. The way kayode reads the game is one which shows his intelligence, his mobility, his off the ball movement, his workrate, his on the ball skills and techniques, his versatility as he can play CF,RF,LF,WF, his ability to drop deep and hustle for the ball shows he is a Pep typo player. Wish the young man the best of luck!

Exactly bro, chelsea fans be calling for azpilicueta to replace moses at RWB saying moses is better as depth or squad rotation just because he doesnt cross and maybe because he is black. But thank God conte thinks otherwise. With that loss now, they will now realise moses is an important first 11 player,

Kayode very close to a premiership move. Newcastle or Watford.
If this turns out to be true then i am really happy for this guy.Dude started out from Nigeria had stints in Ghana,Ivory coast,Switzerland,Isreal then Austria and now England?!!.The shocking thing is dude is still 24 which shows man management and having good agent and advisors around him. Big ups to his handlers and he himself because his story shows focus, determination, ambition to play at the highest level.I wont be suprised if dude still move to a bigger club before his peak.

Why this boy matter de drag like this na?

Them Ekong, Moses, Iwobi own been no hard like this o
Excerpt from a recent Ola Aina interview: “I’m comfortable at right-back,” he added.
“That’s where I learned my trade. “But because I’m so versatile, I feel equally
comfortable at left-back. I don’t really mind the
flank I play on, it’s just the same for me. I’ve
been doing it since I was young.” Another thing he did since he was young was play
for England. From under-16s to under-20s, Aina
made a total of 37 appearances in the various age
groups. That stopped, unexpectedly for England, in
March when Aina opted to pledge his allegiances to
Nigeria. The youngster is relaxed about his decision but will
know a starring role for City could yet see him make
another breakthrough in 2017-18. “I’m not
thinking much about international football right
now,” he said. “I’m just focused on club football. “In the summer just gone I went to a training camp
with Nigeria. They had one in London and invited me
down. I really enjoyed it but as of now I haven’t
played a competitive game. “I hadn’t played for England for quite a while.
Probably say about two years. It went a bit quiet so
then Nigeria came in and asked if I wanted to play
for them. I thought ‘why not?’ I hadn’t been
asked to play for England for a while so it felt right to
take this opportunity.”

Cameroun is a physical side and play with a compact defensive set-up. Playing with a physical defender battling for aerial balls is playing into the hands of the Camerounians.

We need to break them down with movement and intelligent passes.
Exactly my point but folks here are just into this target man thing.A fluid attacking front 3 or quartert with clever and good movement plus incisive throughballs and pinpoint passing from the midfielders will definitely be unlock the cameroon defence.

Ighalo.....i for one don't think kayode is better than ighalo!.
I have been advocating for him to be recalled up and thank goodness the possibity is very strong now that he's in form.....Ighalo shoud start against cameroun (with KC behind him) while kayode comes in as a substitute!!
Perfect,However, having players like kayode,ogu,aluko,success/iwobi e.t.c on the bench is a good option if things does not pan out well but i really hope we hit like 2 goals in the first half to start with. LOL

Alright....but i will go for 4-2-3-1 formation,which is Rohr's main STYLE..
Yeah,I expect to see the 4 2 3 1 because Rohr is not the most tactical coach i`ve seen around. The 4 2 3 1 formation suits a target man who will occupy the opposition defenders, fight for all aerial balls and even drag out defenders from their positions. So who do you think fits the lone man upfront among our forwards?

Iheanacho behind Kayode is the ideal deal
I think i am in support of this,we need to hit this cameroon boys with everything we have at our disposal.Kayode`s speed and counter pressing will be an added advantage for us in the game plus it offers us a fluid attacking frontline as kayode can also play on any of the two wings and he can beat his marker on the dribble and with pace which even makes it easier for nacho as vardy who is kelechi`s strike partner at club level also posses some of this qualities. We can also be rest assured about kayode`s finishing as he has scored more than 30 goals and 15 assists in the past two seasons plus also being voted the best player in the whole league after just two seasons in the league. Also consindering the Senegal game where he came on and play alongside with nacho upfront, he played a very big part in nigeria`s equaliser as his excellent reading of the game enabled him to be able to intercept the ball and lay it off to nacho before the senegalese keeper fouled nacho which led to the penalty which nacho scored. This is just a highlight of what to expect from that patnership. With Victor Moses and Isaac Success on the flanks and a patnership of Mikel and Ndidi in the middle of the park with Mikel playing more like the box 2 box though he doesn`t have the pace for the role but trust him to make up for that with his excellent positioning. So, with incisive throughballs and excellent passing from Mikel and Ndidi,Moses and Success direct running from the flanks,Kayode`s speed on the counter,Nacho`s finishing.I think say Cameroon go hear am that day for Uyo.

It easier to cast blames.

Iheanacho was (still is) our best striker going into that game.

What I thought the coach could have done was to Play Iheanacho and Kayode together in that second half. And then swapped roles between Etebo and Iwobi.

Ogu ke? You think wining of headers is all only about height? And besides I hope you know that most defenders and midfielders, even those that are good aerially, find it difficult to keep the heading on target. They mostly head wide.

BTW Anichebe for real? You mean this thing?
Exactly Sir,that was single tactical decision rohr should have made by switching to a 4-4-2 in that S.A game when the long balls weren`t working out but man just exposed his below par tactical decision making by removing nacho when he should have played nacho and kayode together upfront. This was exactly what rohr did against senegal by playing them both in front and moved etebo to the left wing. This however led to our goal in that game as kayode moved to press a senegal defender who lost the ball to him while he in turn held up the ball for nacho to move ahead of him while also under pressure from 2 senegalese defenders before laying the ball for nacho 1v1 against the goalkeeper who tripped him in the box which led to our penalty in the game. But rohr removed our most lethal finisher for kayode whose patnership with nacho would have been better, with kayode pressing their high defence line and nacho attacking the space left by the defenders would have produced some goal but rohr messed it up.

forgiveness:
Onazi is naturally an attacking midfielder or CMF but he was converted to a DMF. That should tell alot about him.

However, I don't have problem with Ndidi replacing Onazi at the DMF position but Ndidi must guarantee he sticks to that role strictly without trying to impress.
I think it is onazi that we should be telling to stick to his role if he starts in the game and not ndidi,Ndidi played that role well for his team last season which earned him comparison with kante, viera nd yaya toure, Also part of d reasons i chose ndidi ahead onazi is reading of the game, long legs for interception, long range goals, good passing accuracy, aerial prowess e.t.c

First Iwobi should sit out that game except he ups his game before the double header but Onazi should sit on the bench for Ogu (my opinion though). If you saw the Senegal game, Ogu's presence displaced the physical Senegalese side and brought calm to our midfield. The understanding with Ndidi in that game allowed both to push while the other sits deep as cover.
Onazi just run around the pitch without anything to show for it. His passes wayward couldn't connect to the attack. He was just a jack of all trade (maybe he can change his game and play like the Onazi we fell in love with in 2013)
Spot on Bro......Onazi should sit on the bench for Ndidi in that game for the DMF role while Ogu comes in @ the CMF position.I believe we will see american wonders as sir forgiveness said. lol

Hmmmm......steady following the thread on who should be in our 3man midfield.....but what do y`all think of NDIDI as DMF,JOHN OGU as CMF and MIKEL as AMF. Just love d way Ndidi and Ogu played against senegal cos they covered for themselves real well whenever any of them ventured forward and Ogu is someone who is always looking for a forward pass.i think this will free MIKEL to do his job as our best AMF at d moment. And also, for those who watched cameroon at the confedcup what do you think abt this trio against the ones cameroon featured in d 3 games they played in.

This is actually my first time of commenting on this great thread and i really acknowledge all forumites.Keep up the good work y`all! However I watched the senegal game few hours ago and I think rohr needs to trust success on the right wing for the cameroon game.Boys direct running and power is already enough for their left back to get occupied and busy during the game. But what caught my attention most about success in the game is the way he was "skinning" Kalidou Koulibay(a chelsea target valued more than 50m pounds)lol
