Someone I was dating at the time once gifted me a picture frame for my birthday.

Now you’re probably wondering - what’s wrong with a picture frame?

Except this one had no picture inside. Just my name. Boldly spelled out. Framed. Glitter everywhere. Like I had been inducted into some kind of celebrity hall of fame I didn’t apply for.

I had no choice but to smile and collect it with a straight face, saying “Thank you so much, I love it,” while in my head I was like: WTF is this?!

Till today, my sister never lets me hear the end of it. Any time she enters my room and sees that frame hanging there, she just shakes her head and calls me a narcissist.

The funny thing is… this whole situation could have been avoided so easily.
