ivandragon: Hmm...
Most of these analysis that requires conversion from one currency to the other are often misleading and negate what truly matters, which is the purchasing power of the common man, primarily, the least paid workers.
A straightforward analogy which makes more sense is how much fuel can be bought with the minimum wage?
The average minimum monthly wage in Saudi Arabia is about 4000 SAR. PMS averages at about 2.3 SAR per litre. So 4000 SAR gets you about 1700 litres of PMS.
In nigeria, with minimum wage at N70000 and pms averaging N1000 per litre, your minimum wage gets you 70 litres of pms.
Case closed. Any other calculations or conversions are just exercises in futility because the purchasing power of the masses in any country is what matters most.
Look at USA. Average minimum monthly wage is about $1200. Average pms price is $1 per litre. So minimum wage in USA gets you about 1200 litres of pms. |

Focusmind: Congratulations to him
My 9 year old boy has been hammering into my ear that he wants to be a footballer
His love for football is mad and this boy could wake up in the night to on TV to watch match highlights.
His attention to his studies is dwindling, as football has taken the center stage.
Sadly, I have no place to take him for academicals in my area except the usual compound soccer he plays with his friends. Google this>> Segun Odegbami international Sports Academy in Ogun State |

Business › Re: Dangote To Establish Family Office In Dubai by AngelicBeing: 1:16pm On Sep 25, 2024 |
JoeyNaza: In simpler terms for those thinking na "office" or "family house" them wan relocate to Dubai...
A family office is a special type of company that helps very very rich people and their families manage their money and investments. It handles all their financial needs, including planning for the future, managing taxes, and making sure wealth is passed on to the next generations. It also takes care of personal matters like paying bills, managing properties, and sometimes even helping with charity work.
This idea was popularized by John D. Rockefeller, the richest man of his time and I think of all time (his company Standard Oil, biggest refinery of that era, became the mother of ExxonMobil, Chevron and others today after it was broken up by the US Government due to its monopoly ), who set up a family office in 1882 to manage his fortune and deal with government scrutiny. It helped him protect his wealth and pass it on smoothly to future generations. Till today his family members and charities are still collecting from that trust fund valued at around $8 billion ( the money still long )
For someone like Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man, setting up a family office in Dubai rather than Nigeria has key advantages. Dubai has no personal income or capital gains taxes, unlike Nigeria. Dubai is a global business hub, making it easier to invest worldwide. Dubai is politically and economically stable, unlike Nigeria, which faces challenges. So all the money the Dangote family makes as personal income are bound to that office from where taxes, payouts and investments can be made depending on the legal structure of the company.
E get as you go rich, managing your family money go become headache. He is transiting to the phase of securing and consolidating his wealth for generations. |
