A typo on a legal document has cost a Nigerian woman refugee status in Canada and she now faces deportation.

Ottawa overturned a decision to grant refugee status to Gift Daniel, 32, in part because of a misspelling of her name in a government birth document from Lagos, Nigeria. Gift Daniel, 32, now faces deportation from Canada at any time.

What was unusual with the government’s appeal, is immigration officials did not challenge Daniel’s claim that she was a victim of female genital mutilation and domestic abuse, but contested her credibility on the grounds that she is not who she claims to be.
Daniel, a hairstylist from Benin, arrived in Canada in February 2015, using a false Canadian passport under the name of Desiree Dobson and filed an asylum claim upon. Residents of Zimbabwe's Gokwe region have been left baffled after a 36-year-old woman gave birth to a frog-like creature after she suddenly got into labour while at home The Herald reports.

The expectant parents, Nomore and Precious Nyathi, kept the creature in their bedroom for several days before a local leader was tipped to intervene in the matter.

The expectant mother was said to have been due at the end of the month. She left doctors at the Gokwe District Hospital shocked when she informed them that she had given birth to a frog.

"She was our patient who would come for routine reviews together with other pregnant women. We were shocked when she visited the hospital in the company of her husband and some neighbors saying she had delivered a frog," a source at the hospital was quoted as saying.

Her husband expressed his trauma over the ordeal, claiming that he and his wife held on to the creature because the incident left them confused and distraught.

The woman said the incident will haunt her for the rest of her life.

"It's a hellish experience which will haunt me all my life. I don't know how our traditional leader will help us on this one because the hospital authorities could not give us any explanation to this."

The 2nd Presidential debate between aspiring candidates, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump on Sunday October 9th, panned out to be a contentious and nasty one.
Republican candidate, Donald Trump, threatened if elected president he would prosecute Hillary Clinton over her email use as secretary of state, warning her she would "be in jail" if he becomes president.
Here is a short excerpt from the debate:

Trump addressed Clinton saying,

"If I win, I' m going to instruct the attorney general to get a special prosecutor to look into your situation because there's never been so many lies, so much deception".

Clinton responded:

"It's just awfully good that someone with the temperament of Donald Trump is not in charge of the law of our country".

Trump fired back:

"Because you’d be in jail".
