One thing i cant wrap my head around tho. since Views is dependent on Chaos Tools and views is now part of drupal core. Does this mean CTools is now also a core module?

Do you have any project on hold solely because of D8?

Anyone who has been around the CMS world most have heard of the word "drupal", and the most talked about topic in the drupal community right now is "when will drupal 8 RC be out?". Now my question is "How come no one is creating a buzz over this in Nairaland?", I mean it will be fun to have a group of drupal savvy discuses their favorite feature of drupal 8 and what they think should have been added to it but was left out. e.g
i recently installed a drupal 8beta just to take the new born for a ride and discovered that what i did in drupal 7 with 4 modules at least came packed in core of drupal 8 with 200 other features am yet to exploit not to mention the kickass administrative back-end view.
Now with all that goody goodies shipping with drupal 8 one would ask "what can i possibly complain about?".
Well i do have a complain, and its "why the hell didnt they include pathauto as a core module??" i mean 99.99% of drupal sites run with this module.
shear your views people.
what is it that makes you happy about drupal 8? and if your not satisfied please do tell why.

if non of these people here has offered to help, send me and email. am a drupal guy myself and very good at it too. like someone said dreamweaver is just an IDE but if what your looking for IS someone to help you with Coding....then come see me!

You can learn web development on your own if u put ur mind to it "am a living testament of that" but building a site like nairaland from scratch on your own is going to take some time and lots of reading.
Checkout out www.w3schools.com to get a good understanding of how u need to proceed, more like a course outline.
Then you check out www.lynda.com for video tutorials. Remember all this won't be possible if u don't own a personal computer. Since this is about learning without spending a fortune, I can send you a DVD copy of HTML essential training, Css essential training and when your done with that and I see u have the heart for it, you will send the JavaScript, and the baddest of them all...PHP essential training. I won't charge u a penny for it, but I'll test u each time I send an upgrade to see if am wasting my time and resources. anitchec@gmail.com....Halla!!

Whoa! 160k views a day? Thats about what Linda Ikeji's blog gets a day. I wonder what your niche is. My blog (kaysrapzone.com) in the rap music niche, and i get just about 400 pageviews a day and make about $8 a month. I guess my niche isnt really a commercially viable one as i have had the blog since 2008, and have put in so much work. I finally abandoned it in February (i still get about the same amount of traffic daily) and am now really working on a new blog- a movie review blog. I have 24 unique articles so far. I have adsense, i just tips to earn as much or close to what you earn. Thank you.

If your trying to maximize your profit, I suggest you drop Entertainment and pick something in the business or I.T category. Google adsense will not give u more than 1% ctr for anything entertaining.
