Your view is too narrow to comprehend this topic. The brt system will be different in kenya from your communist brt. We cant build those median lanes because nairobi was designed for narrow roads unlike Dar that looks like Havana Cuba with acres of land reserve. If you look at the namata bus you'll understand, including the positioning of the passenger door on the same side as the driver's. The infrastructure in Nairobi is already there with a dedicated brt lane. Forget the building of communist lanes. Any time soon the buses will land in kenya. Where is your daily intracity commuter train? I can give the route map for nairobi's commuter rail service which is by far more extensive than the tiny brt route you're bragging of.

Nairobi Metro - more than 8M - adjoining areas of Kiambu, Kajiado, Machakos and a small part of Muranga.

Dar es salaam alone has the population of almost 7m.

KANO is the ultimate slumpolis of 4m people whose biggest highlight is a roundabout.

Kinshasa is on another level - 20m people living in shanties that expand as far as you can see.

Darslums - at least you got half-decent business district - more like Lagos.
