Youngzedd:They were supposed to land calabar airport yesterday but according to news I heard the governor of the state Ayade refused them from coming. So I don't know if they would still be coming. But they should have been quarantined for 14days before they depart anywhere in the country. |

Good morning Nairalanders, Please I need help and assistance in retrieving an item from NIPOST. I bought an item from Germany (Hp Laptop Battery) through the help of my cousin who is currently doing his masters program there, he sent the item through Deutsch post enroute to Nigeria on the 14th of June, 2019 with tracking number RT256108803DE. The item got to Nigeria on the 22nd of June, 2019 and was handed over to NIPOST. I have called NIPOST customer care on several occasions, most times nobody picks up and when an agent picks up, the agent keep telling me that they cannot track the item on their system. I have also sent an email to NIPOST customer service regarding the delivery of the item and I got a response from one Ekanem stating that the "item not received on our network". My cousin has gone back to the Deutsch post to lay complains as well but he was being referred to NIPOST that the item has been delivered and he should contact NIPOST. Now, I don't know which relevant authority I can go to, to plead my case so that I get my laptop battery. I'd be grateful if anyone can help and advise me on how I can go about this issue. Mods: please give this matter the attention it deserves. I don't know which section to place it as I'm new to this. I'll be expecting your kind responses and positive feedbacks. Thanks |

The National secretary, Association of Nigeria Aviation Professionals (ANAP) Comrade Abdulrasaq Saidu says the recent aviation stakeholders meeting held in Abuja is a jamboree meant to achieve nothing. Speaking with journalists in his office at Ikeja, Comrade Saidu said there was nothing new that the minister discussed with stakeholders in Abuja and urged him to tackle the major critical problems facing the industry. Saidu said ANAP decided to shun the meeting as a result of lack of focus by the minister towards finding the lasting solutions to the myriads of problem in the aviation industry. He said the aviation industry had remained stagnant with one step forward and two steps backwards adding that the industry was yearning for the infrastructure development beyond inauguraton of terminal building. He urged the minister to address the issue of the Abuja control tower which had been obstructed with the construction of the Chinese terminal. According to Saidu, the state of fire service personnel had remained an eyesore while the campaign of carrying arms by aviation security personnel have become a political gimmick. According to Saidu there had not been any development in the aviation industry in the past three years, condemning the non- transparent way of recruitment of personnel into aviation agencies by the minister. According to the ANAP scribe, instead of employing based on geo-political zones, people were being employed from one particular zone in North without considering the quota system. Minister of state, aviation, Hadi Sirika Saidu explained that since the past three years that the minister of State, Aviation Hadi Sirika had glamoured the establishment of Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul facilities MRO in the country till now nothing concrete had been done. According to Saidu, only Aero Contractors owed a hangar facility stressing that the liquidated Nigeria Airways hangar which would have served all airlines today was given out for peanut by previous administrations. He noted that only God had been saving Nigeria airlines from crash as no critical safety infrastructure was on ground while some personnel in the fire service of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria were not trained accordingly.
