IkpuMmadu: The South West have never out their houses in order from operation Wetie to the last jonathan adminstration when they couldn't bring a debate president and tinubu sold out even till the emergence of saritki todays a debate president again now they can't even ordinary party president bode George and co are bickering They should learn from hausa and Igbo....these folks know how to do politics....I give it to them JagaBandit Tinubu is not equal to Yorubas in general just as Ngige, Ezekwesili, Soludo are not equal to Igbos. Moreover, Jonathan got a lot of votes in the south west despite Asiwaju Asiwere's propaganda efforts and mobilisation against him. The number he got from the Yorubas was not too far from what he got in the south east. Those are the facts, Deal with them instead of perpetuating the division that entrenches southern servitude to the owners of naijeriya. MrPolitics: I had some free time and thought to do this to analyze how buhari and jonathan fared in the political zones.
North Central (6 states + FCT) Buhari - 2,411,013 Jonathan - 1,715,818
North East (6 states) boko haram zone Buhari - 2,848,678 Jonathan - 796,588
North West (7 states) buhari's zone Buhari - 7,115,199 Jonathan - 1,339,709
South East (5 states) Buhari - 198,248 Jonathan - 2,464,906
South South (6 states) Jonathan's zone Buhari - 418,590 Jonathan - 4,714,725

SW Region, after stepping down and choosing Prof Adeniran as a consensus candidate turned around and abandoned their own brother. Now, our great party is now firmly in the hands of SS/SE/North. Dollarization Of The APC Primaries: How Amaehi Vanquished Atiku #saibuhari
The blogosphere was inundated with reports of the excessive sharing of dollars at the All Progressives Congress which took place during the latter part of last week.
One APC supporter and Special Adviser to Osun Governor on Environment, BolaIlori had blown the scandal open after he saw the beginning stages of the dollarization in action.
He took to his Facebook page and scribbled, “Crazy things are happening here!!! Some of these cannot represent the change Nigeria is yearning for. Excessive dollarization by one of the aspirants to is to say the least obscene. I have been involved in political process for decades now, I have never witnessed this volume of raw dollarization of party primaries. I only read about this kind of things in PDP primaries. A question been asked by conscientious delegates is that whoever can be giving out between $2000 to $5000 to…delegates certainly does not represent the kind of change Nigerians want…those who contributed to the pauperization of Nigeria now revel in dollarization… majority of Ondo delegates are still standing with Buhari but have been reduced from 85% to 70% within 24 hours…the remaining has gone with dollars ooo.!!!!!”
One has to wonder how Buhari was able to win the primaries in this era of stomach infrastructure where dollars are like the Biblical manna that God sent down from heaven to nourish the Israelites as they made their way to the promised land.
Sources close to the APC with knowledge of the way the Primaries unfolded have revealed that it was Rivers State Governor, Amaechi who flew back to Rivers State and returned to Lagos on Thursday morning with enough dollars to make Benjamin Franklin blush.
It has been revealed that Atiku offered the delegates $5000 each, but Amaechi doubled it to $10000 a pop. Thus turning the tables in favour of General Buhari.
Since his adventure into the APC, Amaechi has gone out of his way to prove himself a party loyalist, always the first to shoki or azonto at the many events the APC holds, which he himself is usually the chief sponsor.
According to party insiders, Amaechi has overtaken Tinubu as the major financier of the party. One does not need to wonder why he is always at President Jonathan’s throat over misappropriated oil wells or other such business. Anything that diminishes from the State’s coffers will have a ripple effect on his funding budget for the APC.

MrMystrO: Please, i am so Not a supporter of Buhari, don't get me wrong. But picking atiku over buhari is practically jumping from frying pan to fire and let me tell you why. You see, politics is a game of personal interest which means, putting winning the position you are contesting for, over ANY OTHER THING..This means, you have to try to make a deal that will appease as many people as possible, even if it means doing things that are not in the intrest of the people, before they can all root for you on your quest. Another thing to note is that western powers greatly influence the outcome of our elections because they will always support the candidate who is most ready to make sure their interests are protected at all cost, even to the detriment of Nigeria and her common citizens. Now i am very aware of how desperate buhari was while contesting for president then, he was so desperate that he could actally "Sell" nigeria if need be, just to get support to be president which i believe he probably already did(selling Nigeria). Why single out western powers? What about China, Arab countries etc? Why should we Nigerians, be susceptible to influence by external powers on our elections? Why don't we have external influence on the elections in powerful countries? What is keeping us from being a powerful country, whose elections cannot be influenced by external powers? Is it due to our greed and selfishness? liljboy: It’s okay to marry a woman old enough to be your mother, you can still explain that as love, but someone old enough to be your grandmother?

The Libyan Red Crescent posted photos of dozens of bodies in black and white bags lined up along the shore near the western city of Zawiya. A spokesman for the aid organisation said there were still bodies floating out at sea as the agency had no way of retrieving them. He said the migrants were all adults, mostly from sub-Saharan African countries, and all but three were men. The UN migration agency, the International Organisation of Migration (IOM), said the dinghy had set off on Saturday with 110 people on board. The agency said traffickers deliberately took the engines from the boat and then abandoned it to drift.

MrMystrO: Well my dad is a politician who has held the post of deputy chairman of my local government before, and so I've been exposed to politics from a very young age but honestly, after analyzing our political system very well, I've discovered that the problem isn't our so called leaders, we will keep churning out the same type of leaders over and over again if we don't address the root cause of the problem, which is the inherently corrupt mindset of the average nigerian and this problem can only be tackled through massive re-orientation and re-sensitization of the current populace and also and most importantly, the upcoming generation. In my view, the change we seek can only come when each and every Nigerian starts to think differently and change their mindset about what occupying a public office is really all about, and with that i can say i am doing the little i can by organizing little sensitization seminars and conferences to try and share this idea and mentally with as many as i can, hopefully, more people can also see this root cause and start addresing the problem also, thereby Doing my bit in helping us to gradually realizing the change we so desperately need. Thanks for your time my friend. Many thanks for taking the time to explain what you know and are doing to redress the challenges. Little by little, we all can make the progress that we desire. Cheers. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BHrhEefCUAEun6h.jpg |

Believe me PDP is the most useless and corrupt party that has nothing to offer aside selfishness and corruption. For celebrations and welcoming back Atiku to the party. Barawo bubu was ANPP - APP - CPC - APC going round and round until he was packaged by those who earlier described him as expired. Your All Poverty Congress, APC is made up of the worstest elements of PDP and even more corrupt with the Baba Isale of corruption returning Sylva's 48 mansions seized by EFCC and reinstating Maina who stole people's pensions after telling us Abacha never stole our money. If you are gullible, please note that not all of us are mumu. sunnyb0b0: Timipre Sylva, former governor of Bayelsa state, has retrieved 48 of his property which the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) seized during the administration of Goodluck Jonathan.
According to PUNCH, some of the property are located in Wuse II and Maitama, highbrow areas of Abuja.
Back then, the commission had slammed 50 charges against the ex-governor and arraigned him before three federal high courts in Abuja.
Sylva, who contested the 2015 governorship election in Bayelsa, had accused the anti-graft agency of witch-hunt and political persecution.
The case was subsequently struck out.
A PUNCH correspondent, who visited some of the houses, observed that the inscription ‘EFCC, Keep Off’, on the gates or fences of the property, had been wiped off the buildings while some had been rented out.
The correspondent, who posed as a prospective tenant, was informed that the rent for the property ranged between N2.5m and N6m per annum.
Sixteen units of service apartments at Plot 1181 Thaba Tseka Crescent, off IBB Way in the Wuse II area of the federal capital territory (FCT), cost N6m per annum including a N1.5m service charge.
The building provides seven hours of power supply from a generator. One wing had been painted while the other was under reconstruction.
“When the EFCC sealed off this property, it was rotting away. However, it was re-opened a few months ago so we started to refurbish the property. We have repainted the property and we have started renting the apartments out,” a guard at the property was quoted to have said.
At a block of flats, which comprises nine units (six one-bedroom and three two-bedroom flats) located at 8, Sefadu Street, Wuse, Zone 2, PUNCH was told that the rent ranged from N1.5m to N3m.
“Immediately the EFCC inscriptions were erased, all the flats were taken. There is no vacant apartment now,” the security guard said.
At a property located at 8 Mistrata Street, Wuse II, Abuja, it was observed that the property was a hotel, which charged between N25,000 and N45,000 per room.
TheCable’s efforts to reach Wilson Uwujaren, EFCC’s spokesman, for the reaction of the commission did not yield the desired result as of the time this report was filed.
His telephone line was out of reach, but a text message was sent.

mybestlove: I am confused about this speaking in tongues of a thing. Bible said on the day of Pentecost, when the disciples received the Holy Spirit, that they spoke in different tongues and the people gathered there were surprised. They were surprised because they heard of he disciples speaking in their languages. Example, a believer in a Nigerian church, under the anointing speaking in tongues, could be heard speaking maybe Chinese, Spanish or other languages but, all the raba rava, shoot kiyo is confusing. And you speak in tongues when you're under the influence of the Holy Spirit and not, when you like. It is confusing because it is FAKE as Daddy Freeze rightly pointed out. Were the Apostles trained on how to speak in tongues as many pastorpreneurs are doing? No. Of course not. www.nairaland.com/attachments/4160988_image_jpeg_jpeg6f95b5e7a24ad4fc0808d6698fd37362 |

python1: That's IPOB party for you, all they know is aggression, no atom of diplomacy. But after the fight, just make sure Atichukwu emerges as the party's presidential candidate, the ruling party really needs him as the flagbearer. Did you say aggression and fight? You must be talking of the All Poverty Congress, APC and its barawo bubu president.A rogue party led by a drug dealer and agbero cannot do anything different than thuggery. dre11: Lagos APC members fight dirty over alleged attempt to impose candidates for LG Polls
Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos state have engaged in free-for-all brawl over an alleged attempt by the some leaders of the party in the state to return 19 local government chairmen as unopposed candidates in the forthcoming local government polls.
The brawl, which occurred at Ogba/Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), left several party members injured with three persons needing serious medical attention.
According to an eye-witness, most of the victims were agents of the party leaders who were opposed to the application of internal democracy in the selection of candidates the party would field in the polls, as aggrieved party members attacked them with plastic chairs and other dangerous weapons.
Some party members who spoke under condition of anonymity, said their grievances bordered on the blunt refusal of the leaders to grant the peoples’ wish of nominating their candidate through primary election.
He further revealed that a similar course of action in 2015 led to the loss of some local governments to the opposition Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).
“They have started what led to the loss of some local governments in the 2015 elections to the PDP, because they do not want primary.
“We want members to freely elect whoever should represent them at the local government, but they don’t want popular people; they want to impose their preferred candidates. And, we will not agree to this evil plan.” he said.
Efforts to speak with the LG party chairman, Kelvin Ajakaye, proved abortive as at the time of filing this report. Similarly, an aide of the state Chairman of the APC, Otunba Henry Ajomale, who also witnessed the fight said he will only speak with journalists only when he obtains clearance from his principal.
