iwaeda: Wike Boasts Of Helping APC Use Judiciary To Kill Osun LG Funds Case, Warns Party Leaders Against Ingratitude
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has openly boasted that he assisted certain elements within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in deploying the judiciary to frustrate the Osun State local government allocation lawsuit.
In a video now circulating widely on social media and obtained by SaharaReporters, Wike made the claim while addressing a crowd in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The former Rivers governor accused the APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, of benefitting from judicial actions against the Osun State Government without knowing those who did the work behind the scenes.
The suit in question led to the withholding of local government funds in Osun State, a development widely seen as targeting the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke as opposition in the state.
Wike, who spoke angrily, suggested that the court action supporting the APC’s position against the Osun government did not happen by chance, boasting that powerful political forces worked quietly to ensure the outcome.
“Don’t take our support for Mr President for granted,” Wike warned, in an apparent message to APC leaders defending Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara. “You have to be careful about the statements you make. You have to be very careful.”
He accused Basiru of political ingratitude, claiming the APC was enjoying in Osun State without understanding who engineered their advantage.
“Today, you are enjoying in Osun. You don’t know those who did the work,” Wike said. “You are opening your mouth to talk about Rivers State.”
Lithiumite: Is govt supposed to build toilets on every street or what are you implying.....you don't have to criticise blindly lagos is a state where all social amenities are overwhelmed due to its huge population, imagine how many toilets govt will have to build.
Yes, government is supposed to do that, especially one that claims to be progressive and raises so much money from wealthy people on behalf of everyone.
Half of India couldn’t access a toilet 5 years ago. Modi built 110M latrines – but will people use them?
How can a government be filled with irresponsible rogues like APC in Lagos?
What are they doing with all the revenue generated from the people that has increased budget 100 times to N4.2 trillion since 1999, if the ycan't build toilets for those in need?
I guess that is a tall order for progreThieves who can't even make water available in the state of excellence in their 27 years of looting by Tinubu, Fashola, Ambode and Sanwo Olu.
Does he have two wives, since the last picture has a woman in RED dress?
Anyway, I am sure he must wish he is a Nigerian politician loyal to the Ogas at the top of Oshiomole's Assembly of Past Criminals, APC.
chisomkachy: The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has withdrawn the alleged money laundering suit it filed at the Federal High Court against Lagos Speaker Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa.
Naija News understands that the anti-graft did not give any particular reason for its application for withdrawal.
Following the application to withdraw, Justice Nicholas Oweibo discharged the ‘lien/Post No Debit’ placed on Obasa’s three accounts in Standard Chartered Bank.
The accounts are (US Dollars) 0001852063; (Current) 0001852056 and (Saving) 5002309624.
The judge also set aside the ex-parte orders he made on September 15, 2020, which led to the freezing of the accounts.
Recall that the court on September 15, 2020, granted an interim order freezing Obasa’s accounts following the EFCC’s application in a suit marked FHC/LCS/1064/2020.
The agency had said it was investigating the Speaker for the alleged offences of conspiracy, diversion of funds, abuse of office and money laundering.
But Justice Oweibo, on August 16, 2023, heard the application to unfreeze the accounts in his chamber.
During the hearing, the EFCC was represented by Mr. Sulaiman I. Sulaiman, while Obasa was represented by Mr. Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika (SAN).
The EFCC lawyer told the court that the application to unfreeze the accounts was pursuant to Section 44(2)(K) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and Sections 26, 29 and 34 (1) of the EFCC (Establishment) Act, 2004, and under the court’s inherent jurisdiction.
Section 44 of the Constitution concerns constitutional rights to property.
Justice Oweibo held: “It is hereby ordered that an order is hereby granted to the respondent/applicant setting aside the ex-parte orders of this court made on the 15th day of September 2020 upon the ex-parte motion of the Applicant/ Respondent in relation the funds of the Respondent/Applicant domiciled in the accounts stated in the following schedule:
“ACCOUNT NAME, FINANCIAL ACCOUNT INSTITUTIONS, TYPE OF ACCOUNT, 1. Mudasiru Ajayi Obasa, Standard Chartered, (US Dollars) 0001852063 2. Mudasiru Ajayi Obasa, Standard Chartered (Current) 0001852056 3. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, Standard Chartered (Saving) 5002309624.
“Issued at Lagos, under the seal of this Honourable Court and by the hands of the Presiding Judge this 16th day of August 2023.”

Applaud the boss.
It depends on whether or not you are one of those rendered jobless by APC's cluelessness in the past 11 years of playing politics with propaganda lies.
If you are among those rendered jobless, you go just look away.
If you are among the lucky ones still having a job with enough money to absorb the hyperinflation that has worsened each year since 2015, then you can take your wife from there and find her something else to keep her busy instead of being a nuisance at home with plenty of energy to fight you at the end of each day.

Judges may be happy with him because he built them houses, but teachers can’t be happy with him for owing salaries and locking out children from school.

Melezenawii: If Atiku is saying the only qualification he has to become president is that he's from North. Well and good. That means on the election day, the North should vote for him, and the South shouldn't.
- Rotimi Amaechi
How and when did Atiku say that is the ONLY qualification he has?
Did he not say he has experience with Obasanjo for the golden era of Nigeria, when petrol was cheap, debt was low, inflation was low, unemployment was low, corruption was low, insecurity was low etc?
All the better things are the result of consistent deregulation and privatisation policies.
thisweekng: The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Chief Olawale Edun has said the last time Nigeria’s economy looked stable was about a decade ago.
He made this statement during his maiden press conference as Minister of Finance where he outlined President Bola Tinubu’s vision, agenda and strategy for the economy.
He said, “I think as we all know, we are not where we should be. The economy is barely growing above the rate of population growth.
“But it was not always so, and I think in trying to look at the way forward, if we now have a situation of slow growth, double-digit inflation, weak/depreciating exchange rate, as well as security concerns that are resulting in an economy that is not growing and not taking Nigerians out of poverty.
“If we think back to the last time when the economy was stable- when it was growing, when inflation was low, and the interest rate was affordable, that period was about a decade ago. Growth was about 6% in 2013 and 2014.” Private sector to drive the economy
For Israel to listen to a cease fire, you know they fwckin fwcked up!
Even the great US had to come for negotiation!
This part of history will be so interesting!
The next generation will be so amused reading those history’s and wondering how a country with over 4 decades of sanctions was able to humiliate the US and Israel at the SAME time!
It will be a part of history they will find difficult to comprehend.
Just as terrorists and kidnappers have really messed up clueless city boy to the extent of begging Trump to kill innocent northerners on Christmas Day, under the guise of looking for Muslim terrorists accused of Christian genocide.

Contractors are being owed, monies are being borrowed and subsidy has been removed but the man Tinubu is preoccupied with 2027. Master strategist in the mud.
If he failed to do anything in 27 years of increasing tax burden on Lagosians then why are you expecting him to do anything for Nigerians with subsidy savings, increasing tax burden, higher debt burden than PDP presidents and his APC predecessor?
The clueless city boy is just stealing money to buy loyalty of politicians for his reelection and 3rd term life president dictator agenda, which will worsen the failures of his past three years.

What is the point of SCREAMING WITH ALL CAPS IF YOU ARE SURE OF WHAT YOU ARE SAYING?
Why have your Tinubu reforms failed to help him achieve his goals of crashing petrol price and dollar rate since he hit the ground running 35 months ago
Mariangeles: Oh really? You don't say. So, what do we do with wheat 🌾🌾🌾?
Wheat that is mostly, if not entirely imported
Why do we need to do anything with imported wheat? What is a country of extreme poverty paupers with the highest number of children out of school and an undisclosed unemployment rate, doing with imported wheat?
garykoeman: Atiku condemned and abused Jonathan. Condemned Tinubu, condemned obasanjo.
But never said anything against his fulani brother, Buhari.
He criticize the three southern president but never for once condemned yaradua or buhari.
Atiku will never be Nigeria president.
He can take that to the bank.
Kwankwaso and Shettima are from what part of southern Nigeria?
Are Yar’Adua and Buhari still alive?
Atiku doesn’t have to be president, just as you don’t have to return to PDP’s 16 years of widespread prosperity with cheap petrol and less debt burden, low unemployment, low inflation, low insecurity etc. Nobody can force you to go back to better life.

Why are you SCREAMING WITH ALL CAPS, IF YOU ARE NOT LABOURING IN VAIN TO MAKE YOUR PROPAGANDA LIES LOOK LIKE THEY ARE TRUE?
If your city boy idol has increased revenue so much from higher tax burden on people, then why is he borrowing more than PDP presidents and his APC predecessor?
Why is Bọbọ Chicago owing salaries, owing pensions, owing contractors, owing capital releases to ministries, rolling capital budgets from year to year?
Is he just stealing all the money, to bribe politicians for his reelection and 3rd term life president agenda? Has he upgraded his Lagos lootocracy master plan to Abuja federal level for your suffering?
anonimi: The eyesore on Bourdillon Road 2nd January 2025
Beyond his neighbours, there is something about the sight of people hanging around a president’s residence that does not speak well of his leadership capabilities. Maybe no one has nudged him to see it, but the impression that spectacle on Bourdillon Road generates is that Tinubu enjoys the sight of suffering humans and thrives in—and through— their poverty.
If all these years, impoverished people hang around you and you remain comfortable enough to keep them just so they can be handed tokens of your large heart, then it means you have a pro-poverty mindset. Such a frame of mind is oriented toward cultivating poverty rather than stimulating abundance.
That is why he could unproblematically relate the story of his “friend” who went from using five Rolls Royce to a far-less valued car and not consider the import of the nonsense he was saying. That spurious account was an indication that this is a man for whom poverty—of others, not himself—is an ideal.
ibedun: PDP prosperity based on what? Crude oil at $150 for nearly 3 years, and we were importing everything under the sun until the dollar ran out. You think we are fools? We know it’s about PO to relief your pain but sadly PO is going nowhere.
Kindly share credible evidence of your $150 oil for three years. What years were these?
If we were importing everything then why did the PDP Agric minister win World Food Prize and become AfDB President? Clueless city boy is the one that is recklessly importing food and everything else to destroy farms, ranches and factories.
If dollar was running out, how much did it cost for the 16 years?
What role did Obi play in the deregulation and privatisation policies that gave us the widespread prosperity, cheap petrol, low debt burden, less inflation, low unemployment, low insecurity etc.

anonimi: Wike lobbied PDP committee to be Atiku’s running mate – Ex-gov’ship aspirant
Thu, 29 Sep 2022 14:33:04 WAT
Muazu Magaji, a former governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kano State, has alleged that the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, lobbied members of the party’s committee constituted to advise the presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, on the choice of his running mate.
Magaji disclosed this while speaking on Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily, on Thursday.
The Kano politician also argued that there was no proof that Atiku promised Wike the vice president position as claimed.
The PDP committee had recommended the Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa; Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel and Wike.
The committee, however, scored Wike above the other two contenders but Atiku decided to settle for Okowa. A decision that has since unsettled Wike’s camp.
Magaji, however, claimed that Wike lobbied to be scored ahead of others, adding that the Rivers State governor should not be trusted with important positions in the country.
2023: PDP and politics of healing Wike’s self-inflicted injury
Then, the race began in earnest for three years now, reaching a frenzy with the works of the two PDP committees on zoning. The first was the Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi committee on the zoning of the PDP party offices. The Ugwuanyi committee quickly told the world the committee’s assignment did not cover zoning the office of the president. Though this was true, the question is: why didn’t the Ugwuanyi committee zone the PDP chairmanship to the North without aligning it to the divide that would produce the PDP presidential flag-bearer? The second committee headed by Gov Samuel Ortom of Benue state was specifically on the zoning of the presidential ticket and, with the votes of the representatives of all the 17 Southern states without any exception, the Committee unanimously recommended throwing open the PDP presidential ticket, which the PDP NEC simply upheld.
One thing irrefutably stands out – Wike shot himself in the leg. Here was a man who had an overarching influence on both committees but could not insist that the ticket be zoned South. Many had wondered why? The reason is also relatively in plain sight: the Southeast factor. As the clamour for zoning of the presidential ticket of the PDP to South reached its crescendo, many had pointed out the fact that though the PDP Constitution had prescribed zoning of the office of the president to be between North and South since the South-west and South-south had taken their turns in producing the president and the vice in this current dispensation in the persons of Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, zoning this time around, should not just be to the South but the Southeast.
Atiku Abubakar went a step further by offering to step down from the race if it would be agreed that the touted zoning to the South would mean micro-zoning to the Southeast. Wike and the rest could not take the Atiku challenge maybe because Atiku would likely back Peter Obi, who was his vice-presidential running mate in 2019 and an ally. The prospects of Peter Obi picking the ticket if PDP zoned South was so real compelling Wike to go for an open contest, believing he could pick it up ahead of Atiku, Tambuwal and Bala Mohammed, given his large war chest.

The morbid fear of Atiku, made TINUBU speak, even though it's obvious he is totally afraid of Atiku/obi ticket.
Peter Obi, align with Atiku that will give the SE a very prominent place in governance. Leave internet endorsement and shouts of Southern unity by APC losers. They hate the SE and they will still use campaign of hatred against you.
Atiku is truly feared by them and its best you just align with him to rid Nigeria of the most useless president of failures and bigots.

There is no doubt that Tinubu and APC hate the SE.
Imagine Tinubu saying that they are the only ones who breed criminals while he was asking for cows 🐄 to exonerate other tribes from kidnapping and murder.
This ẹyẹnkọrin propagandist liar is trying to rewrite history.
If Atiku was not loyal to Obasanjo then why did he not make him a one term president in line with northern pressure to do so?
aieromon: According to sources available to us that time, Obasanjo said he will do a single term but after that, he decided to go for second term. I was physically present at Rivers state Governor’s Lodge when the heat became too much and Obasanjo in the presence of all of us knelt down in front of Atiku begging him to allow him do a second term. I think that was how Atiku missed the opportunity by agreeing to Obasanjo’s plea. His thought was that at least, if Obasanjo completes his second term, he will hand over to him but you all know the story of Third Term Agenda and that was how they fell apart. Atiku had the best opportunity to become president in 2003 and lost it. He had the support of PDP governors then.
Around November 2002, 15 of the 21 Governors from the PDP including me, had an ad hoc meeting at my lodge in Abuja to decide who should be nominated by the Governors Committee for election by PDP as the presidential nominee for the 2003 Election.
The Governors Committee decided almost unanimously to get a new candidate instead of President Obasanjo as the Committee was of the view that because of his military background, he was intolerant of dissent and had displayed very dictatorial and vindictive tendencies against those he perceived to be independent-minded and disloyal to him.
Immediately after the Governors meeting, I led the delegation of Governors to meet the then PDP Chairman, Chief Audu Ogbeh, at his residence around 2 am.
As the leader of the delegation, I spoke and communicated the views of the Governors to the Chairman, which was that the Governors had decided not to support President Obasanjo as PDPs nominee for the 2003 General Election.
The party chairman tried to persuade us to review our decision but when he saw our resolve, he told us that he would inform the President. I was later informed by Chief Audu Ogbeh that after we left his house he put an urgent call to the President and informed him of our decision.
What then followed were intense consultations before the PDP annual convention which took place in January 2003. Two days before the party convention, the Governors had a breakfast meeting with President Obasanjo.
I recall that at that meeting, the then Vice President Alhaji Abubakar Atiku told the President in the presence of the Governors that he was known to be very dictatorial, vindictive and unforgiving. The President appealed to the Governors to support him and assured both the Governors and the party leadership that if he was allowed to continue for the second term, he would adopt a more democratic approach.
On the basis of the President's assurance, given at that breakfast meeting, I led the move for the Governors to support his presidential nomination for the second term. However, notwithstanding my support for President Obasanjo's nomination for a second term, the President after the nomination, acted very shabbily towards me.
When I met him soon after the convention, he told me that he had learned that I had put forward the view that he was unsellable, unmarketable and unelectable. He then vowed that he was going to make sure that I was unsellable, unmarketable and unelectable.
Atiku Camp - Visit Wikileaks and type the following in the search bar NIGERIA: DID VP ATIKU OUTFOX BABANGIDA AND OBASANJO DURING THE PDP CONVENTION?
According to Adesanya, Atiku met the governors the first day of the convention; they urged him to leave Obasanjo and seek the nomination himself. Atiku demurred; he also deflected the suggestion that he join Ekwueme. Finally, Atiku arranged a meeting between Obasanjo and the now irate governors. The governors railed that Obasanjo was hypocritically pursuing them for corruption, while turning a blind eye to corrupt politicians within his own Administration. Atiku supported the governor's position, telling Obasanjo that significant corruption was not the exclusive ambit of the governors and that serious transgressions occurred in the executive branch: he said it would be unjust to focus exclusively on gubernatorial excesses. Assuming the role of mediator, Atiku then asked both sides to affirm their mutual support and cease the antagonism being fueled by elements that wanted to destroy the PDP. The governors agreed to bury the hatchet, if Obasanjo would shelve the dossiers. Having demonstrated his influence with the governors, Atiku continued to play coy with Obasanjo.
In the end, Atiku extracted an extraordinary concession from the President. Obasanjo agreed to relinquish the entire domestic agenda to Atiku, including the appointment of key economic policy-makers. Since Obasanjo focused on the world arena during his first term and aspired for recognition as an international statesman, Atiku said that is where he would like Obasanjo's attentions to remain. Obasanjo would serve the role of a "super Foreign Minister" and ceremonial Head of State. As Adesanya understood the agreement, Atiku would be allowed to direct domestic economic policy while Obasanjo busied himself with debt relief, NEPAD, conflict resolution and other measures to shore up Nigeria's image abroad.

The President was dazed, Abayomi recalled. Jarred by the unexpected possibility of defeat, the usually know-it-all Obasanjo eagerly solicited counsel on how to escape the closing vise. Early that day, the dominant theme was to seek a court injunction postponing the convention. Proponents suggested the delay to afford Obasanjo time to marshal support and undermine Ekwueme's momentum. However, this idea was ultimately discarded, partially because of apprehension over the public's reaction. More importantly, the push for an injunction became less urgent when the President's advisors began to sense their man was regaining ground by the hour.
The President owed much of his recovery to his own tenacity and, at times, shamelessness. He pulled out virtually all the stops to clinch the nomination, according to Abayomi. For most of that day, the President's diet consisted of liberal portions of humble pie. The President pleaded and cajoled; on at least two occasions his eyes welled with emotion as he pursued fence-sitting delegates and governors. However, Obasanjo saved his best to keep Vice President Atiku from defecting.
With rumor swirling that Atiku would opt to run with Ekwueme, Obasanjo wasted no time visiting the Vice President's residence. Obasanjo begged, declaring he would not leave Atiku's home unless the Vice President accompanied him to win back the delegates and governors. The performance had the desired effect. Atiku joined Obasanjo in publicly lobbying the conventioneers. While it might not have been Obasanjo's finest hour it was the defining moment of the convention. What had been a suspenseful contest would now turn into a rout.
