keemsleek: Pls avoid my mention pls in Europe or other developed countries don't they pat tax and still pay waste disposal bill to waste collectors?
Why do you peoplecwant to argue just to talk. Which state are living first?
Are you saying that in London, Chicago and Paris as well as other developed countries'cities where our leaders looters stash stolen money, their local governments do not collect refuse?
Do they also drink shitty borehole water in those cities
thewinning101: PANDORA PAPERS: Buhari visited Tinubu in corruption-tainted London villa acquired by Oyetola
Governor Oyetola, a relative of Mr Tinubu, may have sabotaged his own country by buying the exotic property as Nigeria made to seize it.
ByNicholas IbekweandTaiwo-Hassan Adebayo October 7, 2021 in Headline Stories, Pandora Papers Reading Time: 8 mins read
It was a meeting of two of Nigeria’s most influential politicians in London – President Muhammadu Buhari was visiting political kingmaker and senior member of his ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.
In July, the presidency announced that Mr Buhari was heading to London for an education summit. The office also added that the president would also see his doctors for “medical check-up”.
Coincidentally, Mr Tinubu, who had travelled to London earlier, was also receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment in the British capital. So, a perfect setting for both men to meet was created.
keemsleek: You are a true lagos blood. The moment Amode scrapped the private sector arm of waste collection and tried to bring his own everything collapsed. The blame is on Ambode and the citizen no try, eg jakande and bucknor side for example if they pack the refuge by 2pm before 9am the next morning the whole place is stuffed with dirts again.
They need to allow more private investors to come in.
Why pay private investors to pack refuse after paying taxes to local and state governments with the LGAs getting 20% of federal allocation since 2024?
What kind of double loss is that? What manner of double jeopardy is that
Tvegas: This is one area where Sanwoolu is underperforming.
The filth and rubbish around Lagos is alarming. Some estates now experience backlog of up to a month before waste collection is done.
In what area is this implementation officer of Tinubu's progressive governance master plan performing?
Definitely not in the provision of free education for all children since he has failed to recruit as many as the 19,500 teachers employed by PDP's Makinde in five years.
Do you think he has performed well in the provision of water to all households, seeing as posh Lekki people and other Lagosians are getting kwashiorkor pot bellies from drinking smelling, shithole water
Shimbo96: we can all come to the conclusion that you are talking nonsense...you can criticize Tinubu and hate him all your life because you are entitled to your opinion and your phone but common sense should tell you that you should do it at the appropriate trend. Grow up before it's too late.
Can you please point out what the inappropriate trend is, about the truth that you read
BreakingNews21: I don't recall Mr. Man's concern for citizens of Southern Kaduna in the recent past.🤔
Can you please share Tinubu's concern for citizens of southern Kaduna in the past?
Someone who betrayed Yorubas for the benefit of his northern brother, certainly can't express any concern for southern Kaduna people, innit
anonimi: How we foiled Jonathan’s effort to make Mulika Adeola Speaker, Akande reveals
AS president in 2011, Goodluck Jonathan did all he could to ensure South West grabbed the country’s number four seat, including lobbying then opposition leaders from the zone, to no avail. The North West eventually grabbed the seat, supported by South West leaders in opposition to then ruling party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Former Governor of Osun State and now statesman, Chief Bisi Akande, made this revelation in his autobiography, “My Participations” which is currently dominating political and national dis- course.
Aminu Tambuwal, now Sokoto State governor, won the seat, against the preferred pick of his party, Mrs Mulikat Adeola Akande, from the South-West. Defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, then a fledging opposition, which had Akande and his soulmate, former Lagos State governor, Senator Bola Tinubu, as front- line leaders, openly asked its elected members of the House of Representatives, mostly from the South-West, to work against their region and back Tambuwal from North-West.
The opposition party’s support carried Tambuwal through the contest against Akande, then ruling party’s favourite for the speakership seat.
In his book, Chief Akande revealed that former president then as incumbent, personally reached out to Tinubu, who is now believed to be nursing presidential aspiration in 2023 and himself, but couldn’t convince them.
He wrote, “President Jonathan, immediately after the meeting (with political parties), called Bola Tinubu aside into a lobby to broach the matter of ACN support for a choice of who would become the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
“That same day, President Jonathan talked to me on phone about the same matter. He disclosed that PDP had zoned the position to the South-West but that only one Muraina and another Mulika won elections on PDP ticket from the zone into the House of Representatives.
Was it anguish and bad belle that was afflicting jagaBandeet before 2015
OredoPikin2: The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Wednesday said President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration lacks the wherewithal to tackle the country’s security challenges.
The former Lagos State governor therefore asked Jonathan to resign as Nigerian president.
The APC chieftain spoke in Ilorin, Kwara State, during the formal declaration of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed’s bid for second term in office.
The event was attended by former head of state and APC’s presidential aspirant, Muhammadu Buhari, former vice Abubakar Atiku and governors of Imo, Rivers, Kano, Sokoto and Edo States.
Also in attendance were – the Speaker of House of Representative, Aminu Tambuwal, Senator Bukola Saraki, former governors of Kwara and Ekiti States, Alhaji Shaaba Lafiagi and Dr. Kayode Fayemi, APC’s spokesperson, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, member, Board of Trustees of the party, Alhaji Abubakar Baraje and Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Razak Atunwa.
Tinubu said, “I saw the sea of refuges caused by the Boko Haram insurgents and the lies coming from Jonathan’s administration. They have exhibited failure, lack of capacity, vision and creativity. The lies of yesterday are what they repeat today and are what they will repeat tomorrow. They are lying to you.
"They are lying about the security, toying about the security of this country. I don’t have time to explain the logic of their lies.
But if you control the armed forces and you are the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic, why should any part of this country be under occupation? And you give us excuses every day. In any civilized country Jonathan should have resigned. But if he will not resign, he should wait for our broom, we will sweep him away. I will come back.
“This is just the endorsement of Governor Ahmed, that he will be re-elected by the grace of God with the support of you people here and those outside there. The unemployment situation will be conquered by this administration of APC. We have the vision for the security of the lives of our children.
The thieves that daily steal your money have not given you any job, they cannot create jobs and they are starving states of funds to pay workers salaries. The best thing to do is to sweep them away through broom revolution. APC is a party of the masses.
“It now behooves on you to begin a house to house campaign that this is a party of the masses.”
May Day: Hunger, unemployment, insecurity real— Tinubu
According to him: “The theme demands our collective attention and serves as a stark reminder of the need to create an environment where every worker feels safe, valued, and empowered to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our nation. As your President, I assure you that this administration is committed to creating such an environment for the common good.”
On the economic hardship, he noted that while it is a global phenomenon, its effects on Nigerians are particularly severe.
Tinubu said: “I am aware of the peculiarities of the economic hardship Nigerians face—rising living costs, hunger, insecurity, unemployment, and the loss of livelihoods. These challenges are real and demand definitive solutions, which I am poised to address as your President.
As in the failing and falling Humpty Dumpty has embarrassed 200 million Nigerians enough?
Do you think he will take such a good advice after fighting for and grabbing power like an agbero, only to run cluelessly with it like a headless pig 🐷
Prudoh: The Nigerian Army is one of the most useless organisations on earth.
Do you think that is because the ayederu man in Aso Rock is a northerner, who negotiates with northern terrorists and pays them ransom while persecuting southern freedom fighters like Kanu?
Or what else would be responsible for the different treatments in the same country
Ezewuzie01: Peter Mbah is complicit for failing to secure the residents of his state.
The governor is fully aligned with the Jagaban of Borgu's Mu_Mu ticket in Aso Rock, as a full fledged member of Arewa Propaganda Congress, APC.
He cannot do anything.
Highways: Where Are The Cows? Is Evans A Herdsman?'
When Funke Olakurin, daughter of Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti was murdered instead of Bola Tinubu to make sure that the perpetrators were brought to book, he ended up making fun of the death of the young lady by turning everything into tribalism by showing his hates for Igbos.
Tinubu has never spoken against the deadly activities of Fulani herdsmen across the country
The same stand Adeyinka Grandson gave on the death of Fasoranti's daughter is where Tinubu, the leader of the Yoruba Conservatives stands. Please see Tinubu's video below. pic.twitter.com/COhiSvabqW

Mrs Olakunrin died of gunshot wounds in July 2019 after her vehicle was attacked by armed men, suspected to be marauding Fulani bandits whose violent activities had reached a frightening level across the southwest states.
Those arrested suspects include Lawal Mazaje, 40, from Felele area of Kogi State; Adamu Adamu, 50, from Jada area of Adamawa State; Mohammed Usman, 26, from Illela area of Sokoto State and Auwal Abubakar, 25, from Shinkafi area of Zamfara State....
However, the leader of the team, identified only as Tambaya, and three others are yet to be found.
Tambaya has been declared wanted by the police and he is said to be capable of communicating in Hausa, Fulfude and Pidgin English.
Yoy are so right about the serial betrayer being Abacha 2.0 reincarnate.
How did we allow this most wicked soul be president
anonimi: My dad, victim of complex conspiracy – Kola Abiola
What role did Bola Tinubu play in all of these?
At the very beginning, he was part of the Yar’Adua PF group from Jos. He was a senator then, and as far as the group went, we related. The crisis started post-election. When Abacha came, one of the things he wanted to do was to be the administrator for Lagos.
That is Tinubu?
Yes. I am sure you have seen pictures of him and my dad. He was hoping that there would be civilian administrators like we had under IBB but Abacha said no, that he was going to have military administrators. So he (Tinubu) said okay, in that case, can I be a deputy administrator? But Abacha said that there wouldn’t be deputies. Then he wanted the post of a commissioner.
He wanted to be a commissioner?
Yes. Then it was a choice between him and someone very close to Jakande who has passed on now. I can’t remember his name, but because Babagana was already in the government, that guy was picked as commissioner. But really, Senator Tinubu had lost out already.
Was Tinubu very close to MKO?
Yes, he was close enough. He and Adeniyi Adele, a very good guy, were close to my father. In fact, Adeniyi was closer to my father and more dedicated to the process than anyone of them. When my documentary comes out, you will see Tinubu’s take on issues. So once he lost out, automatically, he became a NADECO member and Adeniyi was incarcerated.
datola: El Rufai thought he was untochable that he could just talk any how.
A very brilliant man that lacks manners.
....................unlike the clueless man that lacks manner as he fought for and grabbed power to run into Aso Rock like a headless pig
Maxymilliano: The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has explained why he delegated some members of the party to respond to questions posed to him. According to the former Lagos Governor, he adopted the delegation method “to show team-ship”.
Tinubu spoke at the Chatham House lecture titled: ‘Nigeria’s 2023 elections: In conversation with Bola Ahmed Tinubu’, monitored by The Nation.
At the lecture, Tinubu after his opening remarks, assigned Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai to speak on how his (Tinubu-led) government would address insecurity and asked the Director of Strategic Communication of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Dele Aleke, to respond to the question on oil theft.

chisomkachy: The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has withdrawn the alleged money laundering suit it filed at the Federal High Court against Lagos Speaker Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa.
Naija News understands that the anti-graft did not give any particular reason for its application for withdrawal.
Following the application to withdraw, Justice Nicholas Oweibo discharged the ‘lien/Post No Debit’ placed on Obasa’s three accounts in Standard Chartered Bank.
The accounts are (US Dollars) 0001852063; (Current) 0001852056 and (Saving) 5002309624.
The judge also set aside the ex-parte orders he made on September 15, 2020, which led to the freezing of the accounts.
Recall that the court on September 15, 2020, granted an interim order freezing Obasa’s accounts following the EFCC’s application in a suit marked FHC/LCS/1064/2020.
The agency had said it was investigating the Speaker for the alleged offences of conspiracy, diversion of funds, abuse of office and money laundering.
But Justice Oweibo, on August 16, 2023, heard the application to unfreeze the accounts in his chamber.
During the hearing, the EFCC was represented by Mr. Sulaiman I. Sulaiman, while Obasa was represented by Mr. Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika (SAN).
The EFCC lawyer told the court that the application to unfreeze the accounts was pursuant to Section 44(2)(K) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and Sections 26, 29 and 34 (1) of the EFCC (Establishment) Act, 2004, and under the court’s inherent jurisdiction.
Section 44 of the Constitution concerns constitutional rights to property.
Justice Oweibo held: “It is hereby ordered that an order is hereby granted to the respondent/applicant setting aside the ex-parte orders of this court made on the 15th day of September 2020 upon the ex-parte motion of the Applicant/ Respondent in relation the funds of the Respondent/Applicant domiciled in the accounts stated in the following schedule:
“ACCOUNT NAME, FINANCIAL ACCOUNT INSTITUTIONS, TYPE OF ACCOUNT, 1. Mudasiru Ajayi Obasa, Standard Chartered, (US Dollars) 0001852063 2. Mudasiru Ajayi Obasa, Standard Chartered (Current) 0001852056 3. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, Standard Chartered (Saving) 5002309624.
“Issued at Lagos, under the seal of this Honourable Court and by the hands of the Presiding Judge this 16th day of August 2023.”
blaise26abj: Remove Atiku and Obj from that list. Only El Rufai does not seem beyond such . If Atiku uses all the money he used for elections, he could have raised a formidable army and taken over NW and NE .
OBJ is very pro-democracy with a military mindset .
El Rufai and his South Kaduna history fits perfectly .
Did this El Rufai South Kaduna history happen before OR after he bailed jagaBandeet out of his cluelessness misery in Chatham House
edlion57: How about insecurity..who is bankrolling the boko haram and others
JagaBandeet is bankrolling Boko Haram and others for insecurity since before 2015.
What else is his motivation for paying ransom to terrorists and freeing their commanders
Nigeria paid Boko Haram ransom for kidnapped pupils: intel sources
Kano (Nigeria) (AFP) – The Nigerian government paid Boko Haram militants a "huge" ransom of millions of dollars to free up to 230 children and staff the jihadists abducted from a Catholic school in November, intelligence sources told AFP.
Issued on: 23/02/2026 - 13:10
Two Boko Haram commanders were also freed as part of the deal, which goes against the country's own law banning payments to kidnappers.
The money was flown on a helicopter to Boko Haram's Gwoza stronghold in northeastern Borno state on the border with Cameroon and delivered to Ali Ngulde, a militant commander in the area, three sources told AFP.
Due to the lack of communications cover in the remote area, Ngulde had to cross into Cameroon to confirm delivery of the ransom before the first group of 100 children were released.
The decision to pay the jihadists, who sparked worldwide protests after they kidnapped 276 mostly Christian girls in Chibok in 2014, is also likely to irritate the US and President Donald Trump, who has cast himself as a defender of the country's Christians.
nairalanda1: LOL...you don't need to go to the north.
Spend some time on nairaland, and see how many male nairalanders who are southerners and christians regard women as less than human, plus the constant shouting that 'all women are evil', polygamy is okay, women sleep around, etc....and the constant use of the world simp. anonimi: The migrant crisis in Libya and the Nigeria experience
JUNE 24, 2019
The drive for survival and for greener pastures has continued to force millions of West African young men and women to gamble with death in attempts to cross over to Europe and other parts of the world. This quest to escape poverty, hunger, unemployment and insecurity, among other reasons, caused a major segment of Nigeria’s population to seek alternatives for better livelihood prospects for themselves and their families.
Those seeking economic survival see irregular migration as the best alternative, given the difficulty and resources involved in migrating through regular and legitimate routes. In many instances, very few of the original number who set out on these dangerous journeys live to tell their stories. While many regularly drown in the Mediterranean Sea, many also die in the deserts, and others are sold as slaves in a modern slave market.
Most of the victims of this trade are from West Africa. Many of them leave home with expectations of getting to Europe and other destinations perceived to have better economic prospects for them, but they end up in the slave merchant nets in North Africa. The victims are put in camps and sold in open markets in Libya, while the international community watches in silence. The geographical location of Libya renders it a transit route for migrants journeying to Italy and many other parts of Europe.

God bless the United States Of America
Do you want America to recolonise us, because we are too tribalistic for our own good
Have they even started the recolonisation, with how city boy allowed them to violate our sovereignty, killing innocent northerners under the guise of looking for Muslim terrorists accused of Christian genocide?
As for shariah law, the Mu-Mu combo in Abuja won't do it and Americans won't push for it as long as they get their access to our resources.
Putindbutt: The Chinese government has rejected allegations by five US Congressmen of sponsoring illegal mining in Nigeria, describing the claims as “completely baseless.”
The Chinese embassy also rejected the claim that it was funding radical Islamic groups and ethnic militias to protect its mining interests by “paying protection money to specific militias.”
In a statement issued on Thursday, the Chinese embassy in Nigeria said it was deeply dissatisfied with the “false accusations” made by the lawmakers regarding mining activities in Nigeria.
“We express our firm opposition and strong dissatisfaction, and request that the relevant media immediately cease spreading such false information,” the statement read in part.
The Embassy noted that China requires all its nationals to abide by the Nigerian mining regulations, adding that the country has “zero tolerance for mining companies involved in any illegal activities.
“The overwhelming majority of Chinese mining companies in Nigeria have set an exemplary record of compliance with Nigerian laws and regulations.

anonimi: The eyesore on Bourdillon Road 2nd January 2025
Beyond his neighbours, there is something about the sight of people hanging around a president’s residence that does not speak well of his leadership capabilities. Maybe no one has nudged him to see it, but the impression that spectacle on Bourdillon Road generates is that Tinubu enjoys the sight of suffering humans and thrives in—and through— their poverty.
If all these years, impoverished people hang around you and you remain comfortable enough to keep them just so they can be handed tokens of your large heart, then it means you have a pro-poverty mindset. Such a frame of mind is oriented toward cultivating poverty rather than stimulating abundance.
That is why he could unproblematically relate the story of his “friend” who went from using five Rolls Royce to a far-less valued car and not consider the import of the nonsense he was saying. That spurious account was an indication that this is a man for whom poverty—of others, not himself—is an ideal.
It’s indeed very funny that the old fox has not changed and won’t change.

anonimi: Nigeria: Pensioners Urge Tinubu to Pay Arrears
26 March 2003 This Day (Lagos)
Lagos — Pension teachers in Lagos State under the aegis of Teacher Pensioners of Nigeria (TEPAN) have urged Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to review his stance on paying the harmonised three year old outstanding pension allowance or risk losing their votes.
In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of TEPAN, Mr. Ayodabo 'Lade, accused Tinubu of failing to pay the arrears to teachers on their correct pension grade since the year 2000, contrary to what was obtainable in other five States of the South-west controlled by the Alliance for Democracy (AD).
OGwales: Hope the Dancing governor came and Makinde too?
The dancing governor is doing what Tinubu failed to do as governor for eight years, and what Jagaban is failing to do as president.
Adeleke is cleaning up the mess of debts left by APC governors in Osun state while Tinubu is amassing debts in Lagos State with his master plan and in Nigeria despite hitting his revenue target in August and bragging about no more borrowing.
Makinde has employed 19,500 teachers in five years. There is no record of Tinubu and his puppet successors in Lagos State recruiting as many teachers in their 27 years of reckless looting.
What will the two governors be doing in the midst of leaders who are solely focused on politics with zero concern for government services and public utilities?
Are you also equally concerned only about paparazzi politics
