OneCandleAway: You need to know how to win election first. That's how Nigeria operates. The one that calls himself knows how to win election but doesn't know how to govern.
I like you obi, but let's be realistic. You have to merge, sacrifice your ambition if possible.
You can't win Tinubu and that's a fact.
You didn't assert enough authority on LP. You didn't hold the party properly. You'll need a strong backbone to help you win this election as you have lost a lot of your followers. You need someone that can do the dirty jobs but that person won't just do that and give you the presidency to do as you like if he also has ambitions.
You are almost saying the same thing as Soludo said in 2023, which he did not listen to.
Did Obi inadvertently put us into this mess of Tinubu continuing APC extreme poverty shege that was fraudulently sold to us in the fine print of change in 2015
jameshankss: Arguing that Obi’s presidential bid would only work in favour of Tinubu, Soludo said, “Indeed, if I were Asiwaju Tinubu, I would even give Peter Obi money as someone heading one of the departments of his campaign, because Obi is making Tinubu’s pathway to victory much easier by indirectly pulling down PDP.”
Obi, according to Soludo, would only deplete the votes of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and pave the path for an APC victory.
He stated, “The current fleeting frenzy, if not checked, will cost Ndigbo dearly for years. The South-east has the lowest number of votes of any region, but it is also the only region where the presidential race might be a four-way race (it is a two-way race in the other five regions) thereby, ensuring that our votes won’t count in the making of the next president of Nigeria.
ozo13: I watched that program, and most of Allen Onyema's statements were contradictory.
How can air tickets be the cheapest in Nigeria when some flights from one European country to another cost around €40–60, whereas a 45-minute domestic flight in Nigeria can go up to ₦200,000–500,000—during this festive season when no new taxes have been introduced? Also no change in exchange rate or increase in price of aviation ticket.
Secondly, Allen Onyema himself admitted that under Buhari, spare parts and new aircraft purchases were made tax-free starting from 2021/2022. That the current proposed tax law seeks to reintroduce those taxes. The question that immediately came to mind when he said this was: Sir, if taxes were removed back then, why did airlines increase ticket prices from around ₦20/30k in 2022 to ₦150,000–200,000 now (an 8–10 times increase) for the same routes?
Everything points to greed.
The American fugitive is trying too hard to please Tinubu and his fellow redeemed saints in Oshiomhole’s Assembly of Past Criminals, APC.
He should ask Tinubu for the contact details of those who helped him negotiate the forfeiture of money for his jail time.

The same reason the prices of bus fares too increase in december despite the fact that the price of petrol did not increase
Basic economics of high season prices due to increased demand
walozanga: This is how they secretly share money in this useless administration.
50 billion naira from aso rock and the Governor was asking for prove instead of stating how the money was used. I dont blame anyone that calls this country a zoo.
It’s understandable why you don’t blame anyone for calling YOU citizen of a zoo since you are expecting someone to state how he spent money that he said he didn’t receive.
Can you please check if dwellers of a zoo are called citizens or something else
ayoolataiwo: If truly Oyo State was given 50B as been speculated then Gov Makinde need questions to answer,,such huge sum can't just go without proper accountability.Someone that's eyeing the presidency
If truly you were given the same intelligence as all humans created in God’s image then why are you not verifying the RECEIPT of the money before following A-looter Propaganda Conmen, APC to ask for accountability
adicius: North and south Nigeria can no longer live in harmony and it's clear to see. It's time we all have a referendum to split Nigeria into 5 or 6 countries.
We would agree to share the oil revenue for the next 15 years because we have been together for 60 plus years. The 15 years will allow the individual countries enough time to build the necessary infrastructures it needs to survive, like major roads, ports, power stations, international airports, new smart well planned capital cities, etc. Also the south south will get the lion share of the split oil revenue, but after the 15 years elapses, no more oil sharing . Each country should finally now rely on their national resources and human capital etc.
This will foster competition and development and it's the way to go as no one will feel left out or marginalised. We should share the same independence day of 1st Oct for the individual countries. Everyone would be happy. Let's do this, God bless 🙏🏼
Are your own senator and representative on board with you to do this referendum in the ongoing 6th amendment to the 1999 constitution?
If they are not on board with you then HOW do you want to do this referendum

anonimi: Petrol should never cost more than N70 per litre, says APC
January 19, 2015
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described as mere tokenism the reduction of petrol price from N97 to N87 per litre, saying the petroleum product ordinarily should sell for N70.
On Sunday, the federal government announced the reduction of petrol price, citing the fall of global crude oil price.
But the APC through Lai Mohammed, its spokesman, on Monday accused the government of making a show out of deceit, saying “a 10.3 per cent slash in the price of petrol was a mere tokenism at a time the price of crude oil has crashed by about 60 per cent”.
It argued that the pump price of a litre of petrol should not be more than 70 Naira, alleging that at N87 per litre, the government was forcing Nigerians to subsidise the massive corruption in the oil sector by N17 for every litre of fuel.
FORMER Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Prof. Tamunoemi David-West, said that Nigerians should expect sharp drop in petrol price from the current N87 to about N40 per litre, saying, “the president-elect, Gen. Mohammed Buhari, will reduce the fuel pump price to N40 per litre.”

The ranking placed Nigeria in 186th position, only after Haiti, among 187 countries of the world. Nigeria also ranked worst in Africa. Nigeria’s low voter turnout
PREMIUM TIMES had reported how Nigeria recorded a new low in voter turnout during the last general elections. With a national turnout of 29 per cent, a Premium Times analysis showed that the last election had the lowest participation rate in the country’s six decades of independence.
It further revealed that of the 93.4 million registered voters this year, 87.2 million people collected their Permanent Voters Card and the total number of actual voters on election day was only 24.9 million..The winner of the election, Bola Tinubu, had less than nine million votes, roughly 10 per cent of the total eligible voters.
Another analysis by this newspaper revealed that all the 18 candidates in Nigeria’s February elections received only 27.55 per cent of the total eligible votes.
MikePaulGh: But there is something baffling about the so called Jagaban that people have not tried to reason out or acknowledge.
How can someone that almost had no party to contest from in 2023 where his party chairman, the president, the CBN governor, the INEC, the national assembly, the whole opposition was against him?
To make matters worse for himself, he dared to go for muslim/muslim ticket which nobody ever tried and pulled off in the history of this country (Abiola didn't make it).
He didn't stop at that, he went on national (and international) TV to castigate a sitting president (who wields enormous power) just days before election. In fact, the President had to break the law on election day showing his vote to the whole world to see that he voted APC pledging his loyalty to the man that told the whole world that "And he cried, and I told him come, don't worry, I will make you president" what the f..c.k?
Fast forward by 2 years, he is the President despite all the attacks of Reno, Seyi, Rufai, Hundeyin, Showore, etc. Not only that, most of those people are now rolling at his feet.
From almost having no party to now turning all opposition to "On your mandate we shall stand" almost turning Nigeria to a one party state.
2027 (barring death) is just a formality this time cementing his record has never to have lost any election he contested for. Another startling record.

anonimi: The eyesore on Bourdillon Road 2nd January 2025
Beyond his neighbours, there is something about the sight of people hanging around a president’s residence that does not speak well of his leadership capabilities. Maybe no one has nudged him to see it, but the impression that spectacle on Bourdillon Road generates is that Tinubu enjoys the sight of suffering humans and thrives in—and through— their poverty.
If all these years, impoverished people hang around you and you remain comfortable enough to keep them just so they can be handed tokens of your large heart, then it means you have a pro-poverty mindset. Such a frame of mind is oriented toward cultivating poverty rather than stimulating abundance.
That is why he could unproblematically relate the story of his “friend” who went from using five Rolls Royce to a far-less valued car and not consider the import of the nonsense he was saying. That spurious account was an indication that this is a man for whom poverty—of others, not himself—is an ideal.
You are truly a krankhead to be ignorant of the fact that not only does everyone pay tax in different forms, including as VAT on purchases but even those who don't pay PERSONAL income tax, contribute to the profit/income generated by those who earn well enough to pay personal income tax or corporate tax. If paupers don't work for the wealthy, how will they become rich
Those who don't and can't pay personal income tax because they have been made extreme poverty paupers by worsening economic condition of the clueless APC palliative sharing progreThieves in the past decade.
It is now abundantly clear that President Jonathan has finally bared his fangs confirming what was widely speculated. By declaring a state of emergency in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa, he has intimidated and emasculated the governors of these States. We are witnessing a dangerous trend in the art of governance and a deliberate ploy to subvert constitutional democracy.
The body language of the Jonathan administration leads any keen watcher of events with unmistakable conclusion of the existence of a surreptitious but barely disguised intention to muzzle the elected governments of these states for what is clearly a display of unpardonable mediocrity and diabolic partisanship geared towards 2015.
Borno and Yobe states have been literally under armies of occupation with the attendant excruciating hardship experienced daily by the indigenes and residents of these areas. This government now wants to use the excuse of the security challenges faced by the Governors to remove them from the states considered hostile to the 2015 PDP/Jonathan project.
Let me be quick to say that this administration will be setting in motion a chain of events the end of which nobody can predict. Experience has shown clearly that actions, such as this one under consideration, often give root to radical ideologies and extremist tendencies, a direct opposite of the intended outcome of unwarranted and unintelligent meddlesomeness. The present scenario playing out in the country reminds one of the classical case of a mediocre craftsman who continually blames the tools of his trade for his serial failure but refuses to look at his pitiable state with a view to adjusting.
It has become crystal clear, even to the most incurable optimist, that the country is adrift. That the ship of the Nigerian state is rudderless is clearly evident in the consistent and continual attacks ferociously executed by elements often referred to as the insurgents in some northern states of the federation, particularly Borno and Yobe states respectively.
Indeed, no part of the country is immune from the virulent but easy attacks, veritable indices of a failing state. Unfortunately, the tenuous and uncoordinated approach adopted by this government betrays a grossly incompetent disposition which stands at variance with current realities in the country, nay the international community where acts of terrorism are engaged and contained. No Governor of a state in Nigeria is the Chief Security Officer. Putting the blame on the Governors, who have been effectively emasculated, for the abysmal performance of the government at the centre which controls all these security agencies, smacks of ignorance and mischief.
Terrorist acts are perpetrated routinely and the government at the centre appears incapable of stemming the tide of the horrendous crimes unleashed on the hapless populace. The considerable ease, with which lives and property are destroyed on a daily basis, should excite deep introspection on the part of a government truly desirous of finding a lasting solution.
The Constitution provides that the safety and welfare of citizens shall be the primary purpose of having that structure of any political leadership in the first instance. This Government, through acts of omission and commission, has fallen far short of expectation. It actively encourages schisms and all manner of divisive tendencies for parochial expediency. Ethnicity and religion become handy weapons of domination. Things have never been this bad.
The response to the pervasive chaos in the Northern region of the country has been militarisation, mass arrests and extra judicial killings by the Joint Task Force, JTF, a convenient euphemism for an army of occupation seemingly set loose on the people of the localities concerned. The tenor of the State of Emergency declared by the Federal Government yesterday portends danger for the polity. The full militarisation of security operations in these states will compound the already tense situation.
Both local and international media are awash with news of reckless attitudes of the invading forces. The fact that security operatives are killed cheaply and reprisals from the state find expressions in organised pogroms in the immediate communities is sure evidence of a government which lacks basic understanding to appreciate the enormity of the current security challenges. If development is about the people, all measures put in place for the sustenance and maintenance of the super-structure of the society must take into cognisance local contents. It is evident from the grim experiences in recent times that this government has failed, or does not know that it is necessary for it to avail itself of the benefits accruable from exchange of ideas and notes on the latest in terms of technology and human resources among nations of the modern world, especially those which have been fighting terrorist organisations over the years, on the most effective mode of combating this menace. Technologically advanced countries of the world will never discard the idea on the need for the establishment of an effective local intelligence outfit.
Our suggestions along this path have always been met with suspicion and acerbic criticisms from both the informed and the ignorant alike. A government which stoutly defends its opposition to the decentralisation of the police force from its present over-centralised command structure is already experimenting with all manner of means patently extra-legal.
The massacres of local communities attendant upon the attacks on security agents by unknown elements will further alienate the people who should, ordinarily, partner with the government in securing their immediate environments. An army which invades a community maiming, raping and killing defenceless civilians will end up radicalising the youths whose parents and young ones have been wiped out most cowardly and recklessly. This government should concentrate more on encouraging the development of local intelligence which will, inexorably, lead to the practice of true federalism. Adopting the use of excessive force against those perceived as harbouring terrorists does not portray this government as possessing the wherewithal to find abiding solutions to the lingering security challenges.
The President’s pronouncement, which seeks to abridge or has the potential of totally scuttling the constitutional functions of Governors and other elected representatives of the people, will be counterproductive in the long run. A State of Emergency already exists in the states where JTF operates. Residents of these communities live in constant fear. Their rights are violated with impunity under the guise of searching for terrorists in their respective domains.
Hiding under some nebulous claims which border on the intractability of the security challenges posed by Boko Haram or some acclaimed traditionalists who have killed some policemen to render ineffective the constitutional powers vested in elected Governors and other representatives of the people, perceived as not amenable to manipulation for the 2015 project amounts to reducing serious issues bordering on the survival of the country to partisan politics. Let all those who love this country genuinely advise the federal government not to tinker with the mandates of these Governors under any guise. It is a potentially destructive path to take. If security of a society is about the protection of lives and property of the citizenry, the involvement of the people is a sine qua non to effective intelligence gathering. Any measures put in place which alienate the people, in particular their elected representatives, should be considered as fundamentally defective by every right thinking person in the country.
Mr. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was a two-term governor of Lagos State, and now a leading voice of the opposition party, the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN.
NOETHNICITY: Of course, we don’t expect an Indomin generation to know that the OBJ administration denied Lagos state it’s FG allocation during the governorship of Tinubu.
Tinubu literally had to impoverish to keep Lagos going and he still made the impact that he is commended for today
Obasanjo did not deny Lagos State of its share of the 27% jointly owned by the 36 states of the federation account.
Only the 20% shared among the 774 constitutional LGAs was seized for Lagos’ 20 LGAs because Tinubu and Osinbajo, his Attorney General tried to smuggle new LGAs into the 1999 constitution. Other states tried and backed down after they were lectured about the illegality of their actions.
Tinubu truly impoverishes 20 million Lagosians by stealing ever increasing TAX burden on them instead of employing workers to make basic government services and public utilities available.
Ordinary water supply is worse today than it was in 1999, in terms of coverage, quality, quantity and pressure.
Putindbutt: I don't know what Makinde was thinking before starting a fight with Wike, you now join Fayose to it. Both Wike and Fayose that gave Buhari, a sitting President a rough ride when other opposition Governors were hiding their faces in fear.
And Makinde that started politics this yesterday thinks he can escape their missiles unscathed. Atiku with all his financial and political muscle, they run him out of PDP. Makinde is not wise at all.
200 million Nigerians are not wise at all, which is why we are a disgraceful set of people with the highest number of extreme poverty paupers and children who are out of school.

anonimi: Fashola to Nigerians: 'If You Want to Have Stable Electricity Supply, Vote PDP Out in 2015'
Jul 11, 2014.
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, while marking his 2,600 days in office at an elaborate ceremony held at the Blue Roof of the Lagos Television premises, has said voting out the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from power in next year’s general election is the only way the country can have stable electricity.
According to The Nation, Fashola said electricity crisis in the country is caused by lack of ideas and insincerity of purpose on the part of Federal Government.
"Yes I agree with you that it is possible to generate electricity and to make sure that everybody in this country has electricity, we have to do the right thing. But you know what, the only way that you and I will have electricity in this country will be to vote out the PDP.
pendy79: Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, on Sunday evening boasted that he could provide uninterrupted power supply to Lagos residents between six and eight months.
Fashola spoke at the commissioning of 8.5 megawatts Lekki Independent Power Project (IPP), the fifth of such power projects in the last five years in the state.
The governor said the addition of the Lekki IPP was a testament to the fact that stable power does not require rocket science to achieve in the country.
While challenging power distribution companies in the state, Fashola said, “Let the Eko DISCOs sign a contract with me, giving part of their concessioning to the state government, in about six to eight months, there will be power in all homes in Lagos State,” Fashola said.
He added, “So, let no one say that he has no money to deliver power for the entire country. This is the limit to which the law allows us to do, but we have done this to make a statement that power can be generated. So, when they come with lies that power is impossible, you can tell them that we have power here; we make it possible”.
The project, courtesy of the state government, in partnership with Heritage Bank, is to serve Lagos State Water Corporations in Lekki Phase 1, Oniru, Victoria Island and Ikoyi, as well as over 25km of public lightening in the Lekki axis.

Babasessy: The Awolowo rebirth in the Southwest has inspired gongs, songs and rhetoric of sorts. But they have missed one point.
It occurred to me in Abeokuta last week amidst the big crowds and euphoria of the swearing-in of Senator Ibikunle Amosun as governor. In all the states from Lagos to Edo, where Awo has witnessed ideological resurgence, hardly a single family member has played a role.
So we have an Awo family without an Awo. That is an irony. But history overwhelms us with this sort of twist. Obafemi Awolowo toiled for his reputation. His roots were lowly, he toiled to school both home and abroad, launched into careers in law, business, journalism and eventually politics. He carved a niche for himself, and became the first methodical and charismatic leftist in our history. Other leftists abounded but they did not inspire comparable drama and following.
He faced tribulations, went to jail, failed in elections, won a few, but he imprinted his ideas and legacy in the country, and no single mortal has beaten him in the history of this country. His greatest achievement was in the area of ideas, and that was how he fashioned a family. Most families are born of biology but his issued from ideology. That family suffered with him.
In a spoof of Jesus Christ, these were the men who followed him in his teachings, and endured with him in his temptations. So he formed a kingdom for them in the Southwest, in the old Western Region, presiding over his projects, his legacies and people.
In all of these, the family he had was not his flesh and blood. In another spoof of Christ, who were his family anyway? Those who were with him must be counted as his family. So, I combed in the ambience of Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), and I found none. I went to Ogun, I frisked the crowd under Amosun’s bower, hardly any. Around Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola in Osun, I could not lay a finger. With Governor Kayode Fayemi in Ekiti, where are the forbears of Awo? Yet, I can hear the chants of Awo. Hardly in any of the inaugural speeches or any of their other public intervention would you miss the philtre and filter of Awo from these gentlemen. To parody Novelist Joseph Conrad, they are the sparks from Awo’s sacred fire, the messengers of the might within the man.
Already all of them are pursuing the legacy ideas of Awo: free education, free health services, infrastructural development, urban renewal and economic engineering.
Lagos has posted itself as the John the Baptist. The others are putting up valiant efforts, and the world of course is watching to see how well they will perform. It will call for great work, resourcefulness and cooperation. They are the real Awoists, and Awo was a man of rigour and vigour.
The Awo son that many expected to take after the father was Olusegun, who unfortunately died in a car crash. We shall never know if he could have pulled it off. But the others have not shown much of the paterfamilias’ brio and depth. In the past decade, under this republic, they have blended with the wrong crowd. Even H.I.D, hobnobbed with Alao-Akala, who brought illiteracy to governance; with Oyinlola who turned the grace of office into a hell-hole of despots; with Daniel who could not arrest his quick fall into megalomania.
I wrote once that this woman whom Awo once described as the jewel of inestimable value has lost value to his cause. If he came back to life, he would have committed the extraordinary act of divorce after death. Even his newspaper, The Tribune, has so stumbled and fallen that it swims in Awo’s vomit.

However, progressing forward is slow like this. So, it is showing day by day that the amalgamation of Nigeria is coming to an end. When trust is lost, nothing will function. We don't trust ourselves from the beginning. And the real truth is that there was no trust. Never join force with people of opposite religion. Different tribes, cultures, backgrounds can come together, but not different religion. And the worst is joining force with Islam. They should be left in their world alone. Nigeria should start getting ready to split.
And I congratulate Igbos and SS in advance because they don't have many moslims among them. They can easily stop everything Islam if they want once they are not in Nigeria. But Yoruba will have to continue managing the situation. Also, Southern Kaduna and other non moslims in the north will have to ask for integration into a Christian community because they must quit their homeland; else, they will be the scape goats.
The country amalgamated in 1914 by the British is not splitting up.

Maxymilliano: The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has explained why he delegated some members of the party to respond to questions posed to him. According to the former Lagos Governor, he adopted the delegation method “to show team-ship”.

The slowpoke doesn’t know that, from his political ignorance is born the prostitute, the abandoned child, and the worst thieves of all, the bad politician, corrupted and flunky of the national and multinational companies.”

Penkelemess deserves to succeed Makinde in Oyo state, seeing that he has done what incompetent, amateur gbatuẹyọ Fashola failed to achieve as minister, despite bragging about six months to fix electricity before he was given the job in 2015.
A-looter Propaganda Congress, APC is doing well, abi
SmartPolician: These people have removed the subsidy without telling us how much they saved and what the money was spent on. Yet, they still go about borrowing billions of dollars. This nonsense can only happen in Nigeria

NextPresido: I thought they said they were going to use subsidy money to build the road? Why are they borrowing?
This is why telling lies and using propaganda is not good.
Finally finally the propagandist liar gets exposed, like Tinubu and Oshiomhole’s Assembly of Past Criminals, APC.
TimeManager: The Federal Government has revealed that the elimination of the petrol subsidy under President Bola Tinubu has resulted in savings of over $84 billion, which are now being channelled into the construction and rehabilitation of 40 key road projects across the country over the past two years.
This was disclosed in a policy brief released by the National Orientation Agency (NOA), titled “Two Years Later: Key Benefits of Subsidy Removal,” and made available to journalists over the weekend in Abuja.
The report, which reviewed the outcomes of the subsidy removal since May 29, 2023, noted that the policy averted a looming economic crisis.
It also enabled the Tinubu administration to clear long-standing financial liabilities, increase capital investments, and support the financial stability of state governments.

fuckJones: (A case study of Nigeria citizens & their elected oppressors).
During the Soviet dictatorship of Joseph stalin. He was a brutal dictator with mind of his own. On one fateful day, stalin came to Politburo meeting with a live chicken. Standing in front of audience, He started to pluck the feathers of the live chicken off one by one. The chicken trembled in pain, blood tricking out of its pores. It gave out grievous cries, but stalin being a cruel dictator continued without remorse plucking the feathers out until the chicken was completely Unclad. After which, he threw the chicken on the ground. The Unclad chicken was staggering in pain. stalin goes into his pocket and from his pockets, he took out some chicken food and started to throw it at the poor & hapless creature. The poor chicken in pain started eating and stalin started walking towards his seat. As he walked away, he kept dropping some feeds on the floor & the chicken followed him and sat feeding from his feet.
Joseph stalin then turned to members of his political party leadership. He said, "This chicken represents the people". "You must disempower them, brutalise them, beat them up, starve them and then leave them". "If you do this, go into your pocket & give them peanuts when they are in that helpless and desperate situation, they will blindly follow you for the rest of their life, worshiping you". "They will think you are a hero forever. They will forget that, you're responsible for their sorrowful situation in the first place." Breath taking, isn't it ?
Now! Take a look at all the people some Nigerians are busy defending on social media. Take a look at those they call their heroes. They are the same people who plunged Nigeria into the situation she is. They are the same people who are responsible for their predicaments. Did you see the numbers of people that throng to Saraki's House during this Sallah period to go collect peanuts? People trooping to Bola Ahmed Tinubu Foundation offices to collect branded One kilo bag of Rice & Noddles. Did you see the number of people of all ages who troop out to welcome Ex- convict James Ibori to South South! Do you see the number of handle mop following obi as if he is a seat? what of the one following dino malaye?
Your guess is as good as mine. Nigerians kill those they should defend and defend those they should kill! Pass to all your contacts & let your Political & Religion Leaders read, understand & digest.
Sonnobax15: Politics aside,no sensible person would blame PBAT....
Cuz we all know our military has been so compromised and the northern elites aren't I helping matters......
If not, these terrorists wouldn't even live a day without being struck down...
Is Tinubu not the CinC on whose desk the buck stops?
Was our military not compromised and were the northern elites helping matters when Tinubu and APC leaders looters called Jonathan clueless and asked him to resign?
Johnnyessence: The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Wednesday said President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration lacks the wherewithal to tackle the country’s security challenges. The former Lagos State governor therefore asked Jonathan to resign as Nigerian president.
The APC chieftain spoke in Ilorin, Kwara State, during the formal declaration of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed’s bid for second term in office. The event was attended by former head of state and APC’s presidential aspirant, Muhammadu Buhari, former vice Abubakar Atiku and governors of Imo, Rivers, Kano, Sokoto and Edo States. Also in attendance were – the Speaker of House of Representative, Aminu Tambuwal, Senator Bukola Saraki, former governors of Kwara and Ekiti States, Alhaji Shaaba Lafiagi and Dr. Kayode Fayemi, APC’s spokesperson, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, member, Board of Trustees of the party, Alhaji Abubakar Baraje and Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Razak Atunwa.
Tinubu said, “I saw the sea of refuges caused by the Boko Haram insurgents and the lies coming from Jonathan’s administration. They have exhibited failure, lack of capacity, vision and creativity. The lies of yesterday are what they repeat today and are what they will repeat tomorrow. They are lying to you. “They are lying about the security, toying about the security of this country. I don’t have time to explain the logic of their lies. “But if you control the armed forces and you are the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic, why should any part of this country be under occupation? And you give us excuses every day. In any civilized country Jonathan should have resigned. But if he will not resign, he should wait for our broom, we will sweep him away. I will come back.
“This is just the endorsement of Governor Ahmed, that he will be re-elected by the grace of God with the support of you people here and those outside there. The unemployment situation will be conquered by this administration of APC. We have the vision for the security of the lives of our children. “The thieves that daily steal your money have not given you any job, they cannot create jobs and they are starving states of funds to pay workers salaries. The best thing to do is to sweep them away through broom revolution. APC is a party of the masses.
“It now behooves on you to begin a house to house campaign that this is a party of the masses.” thenationonlineng.net/new/insecurity-tinubu-asks-jonathan-to-resign/
