benardtotti: Don't mind them that's how obi was boasting about generating 20,000 mw of power until Seun put him on the spot he now started saying to generate power will take time , yet he wants to do just one term of 4 years so when will your followers now feel the impact of your administration.
Why was he even boasting of something that APC did already as they promised 11 years ago? Obi is truly a confused clown.
Ṣebi you are one of their imaginary 150 million Nigerians with adequate power
msmon: The All Progressives Congress (APC) yesterday unfolded its power agenda should it presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, be elected.
The party plans to generate at least 20,000 megawatts (mw) of electricity in four years to surpass Nigeria’s consumption level of around 15, 000mw.
In a statement, the party’s Presidential Campaign Organisation (APCPCO) expressed dismay that the Federal Government under President Goodluck Jonathan had only added 1.400mw to the national grid in four years.
The statement by Mallam Garba Shehu, the spokesman of the campaign, quoted Gen. Buhari as saying that while he will not run a witch hunt government, he will not hesitate to deal decisively with cases of impunity and corruption. No probe of any government official, he added.
The statement also quoted Gen. Buhari as saying he is passionately concerned about the sorry conditions of our armed forces today who, despite huge budgetary allocations, have failed to effectively deal with manifest security threats, including the Boko Haram terrorism.
“What he said at every given opportunity is that he is keenly interested in knowing what has gone wrong, if any, with the army that he knew. When he has access to them as Commander-in-Chief, he will like to hear from his commanders what problems they are dealing with so that they can be solved,” Shehu said.
“In a democracy such as ours, all institutions of government, including the armed forces, are accountable. No country can achieve results in its counter-terrorism efforts when there is no transparency in the management of huge resources for the purpose. He (Gen. Buhari) will reinvigorate the armed forces and restore their rapidly evaporating morale,” he said.
The APC Campaign Organisation accused the PDP of wasting billions of naira on non existent power, managing to add a yearly average of 87 megawatts of electricity, showing a massive failure to substantially raise generation and distribution of electric power despite promises and cash infusion of between $16 billion and $20 billion.
Shehu said “nearly 16 years of PDP administration gave this country a miserly addition of 1,400 Mega Watts against the expenditure of more than $16 billion. That translates to 18.5 MW per annum”.
zoedew: And Atiku has the guts to tell us he is bringing back subsidy. The Dubai Resident thinks he is Dubai the place he escapes to after losing Presidential elections only to return to Nigeria to try again every four years!
Atiku has the courage and the ability to make our country better, like it was when PDP gave us prosperity, peace and security with cheap petrol and less taxes as well as less debt burden.
What do you have against this better life? Is it Stockholm syndrome suffering?
NaijaNaWaa: Only a desperado oH-L0-doH would fathom bringing back fuel subsidy.
What is a balablu bulaba propagandist who announced that subsidy is gone in May 2023 but continued paying it illegally on imported fuel to destroy Dangote refinery, after his NMDPRA proxies failed in the assignment
AWONEYAN: As if he can be elected. He can't win 50% local government in Oyo state and the guy knows it.
He just wants to play so hard so Tinubu go call him for bargain as all the dividends of G5 na Wike and Umahi dey chop am.
Jagaban won't even look at his side
Any idea when the master strategist will look at the side of extreme poverty Nigerians, to crash petrol price below N185 as he promised in January 2023?
Heffalump: You're asking all these questions about someone who has been a member of a powerful drug cartel? Do you know his ring of powerful connections? He doesn't need your validation to win an election. Tinubu is very dubious, a criminally personified human being. He developed this evil and criminality tendency from his young age and got matured with it. Now he's a champion at everything dirty!
Do you want him to continue with these things?
If you don’t want him to continue doing them, what works are you doing to stop him
HacheNoire: The Great Pete spoke in parables that only elders will understand. My respect for the virtuoso will not permit me to translate.
The parable of balablu bulaba propaganda politicians who promise heaven on earth only to ruin us with hellish worsening of extreme poverty, unemployment, inflation and corruption, thereby making their immediate predecessor no longer clueless as he was thought to be for his own failures
Reference: Much Ado about zilch. You can fit approximately 80 Japan's into Africa by land size (mark you over 70 percent of Japan is mountanneous and largely unusable for productivity). Yet Japan out produces the whole of Africa by approximately 4.4 trillion dollars to 3.5 trillion dollars. A continent that has every single imaginable resource on earth in ABUNDANCE....while Japan has only one....from its mountains... limestone....not even enough to be self sufficient in making cement and pottery. And a nuclear bomb...no...two nuclear bombs were dropped on her.....all she gained from colonial wars were collected back and she was surcharged on top....and then almost every year the earth opens up and swallows part of the country....
Abeg size means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. May God grant Africa the fortitude to carry her cross L in peace....
As with this discussion about maps, so it is with other aspects of life- serious and unserious.
Size means NOTHING, if you don't know how to work it to create SOMETHING useful and joyful.
MemphitzDgreat1: Where's the lie? The quality of life was waaaaaaaaaay lot better then than now. It's a shame that Nigeria's past was a whole lot better than her present
Was the quality of life in 1966-1979 way better than what it was from 1960 -1966?
Was the quality of life in 1984-1999 better than it was for 1979-1983?
What aspect of life weas better under military rule in the two interegnums?
saintopus: Is he indirectly calling for a military coup or take over?
He is just frustrated and trying desperately for relevance in the politcal space.
Who will remind him that military dictators Obasanjo and Buhari were recycled civilian presidents for 16 out of the first 24 years of this return to democracy?
Does he know the socioeconomic differences between India and Pakistan, based on one being democratic since independence while the other had military coups that destroyed its democracy
Image123: And the US gives over $1million to drug lords, right? Allowing them to walk away as first class students with $460k civil forfeiture non disclosure agreements. Jokes
Propaganda bluffing that is not in sync with Tinubu begging for his drug dealer records to remain secret.
Racoon: Festus Keyamo Defends Tinubu From Drug Trafficking, Says Tinubu Mistakenly Shared Flats With Drug Lords
The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr Festus Keyamo, has distanced the All Progressive Congress presidential candidata, Bola Tinubu, from being a drug baron who was involved in the traffic of narcotics in the United States.
Keyamo, who also doubles as APC Presidential Campaign spokesperson, noted that the former governor of Lagos State only shared a block of flat with drug barons about 30 years ago in the US.
His reaction is coming following documents of a Chicago District Court indicting and convicting Tinubu of drug dealings and money laundering in 1993.
The document which emerged online two days ago, described APC standard-bearer as a drug baron, adding that Tinubu entered a plea bargain, leading to the forfeiture of his assets to US authorities in 1993
It was also pointed out that Tinubu forfeited the sum of $460, 000 dollars in his bank account at First Heritage Bank to the US government.
Speaking on Wednesday on Channels TV, Mr Keyamo dismissed such claims, insisting that Tinubu was linked to drug peddlers who were his neighbours.
He said: “What happened was that Tinubu went to open an account. The address which he used in opening the account was the address used by these people. I think some blocks of flats. Maybe, he was happy to be in that block of flats too.
“So, they now link it that the other people they were investigating for narcotics are in the same address used by Asiwaju to open that account.’’
LordBiden: Me I have my PVC and I am going to vote the person with the best plan to cut down prices of fuel at the pump. I just read a beautiful plan of accord candidate Hassim olawepo on how he intends to cut down prices of fuel and it makes a lot of sense.
Let peter obi too come out and tell us his own plan on how to bring down prices of pms at the pump not some consumption to production lamba or some Bangladesh population statistics.
Have you read Atiku's plan to subsidise fuel production by refineries and return us to cheap petrol, less debt and more prosperity for everyone through well paying jobs for high productivity
This is the opposite of Tinubu's subsidy to his Malta blending plant cronies who are hellbent on destroying Dangote refinery after their NMDPRA plans failed.
anonimi: NNPCL’s subsidy payment jump by 47.9% to N7.1trn in 2024
November 26, 2025
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) paid a total of N7.1 trillion as subsidy for premium motor spirit (PMS) in 2024, this sum represents a 47.9 percent increase from N4.8 trillion recorded in 2023.
This is despite the government’s announcement of subsidy removal in 2023.
The company explained that the amount, which it termed ‘energy security expense’ arises when there is differential between the exchange rate used to freeze the premium motor spirit ex-coastal price and the prevailing rate at the point of import settlement.
According to the report, government had instructed that NNPC Limited cannot sell its PMS above a certain regulated price. It added that the cost of petrol import is usually much higher that the regulated price.
Tribunal affirms PDP’s Obanikoro winner of Tinubu’s LGA
October 4, 2012
The Lagos State Election Petition Tribunal on Thursday declared the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in last year’s local council polls, Ibrahim Babajide Obanikoro, as the duly elected Chairman of the Ikoyi/Obalende Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
The state Local Government Election Petitions Tribunal nullified the declaration of the candidate of the ruling Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Adewale Adeniji, as winner of the election in the LCDA where the party’s national leader and former Lagos State governor, Bola Tinubu, resides and declared Mr Obanikoro the duly elected chairman for the area.
The five-man tribunal held that Mr Obanikoro, son of Nigeria’s former High Commissioner to Ghana, Musiliu Obanikoro won with 3,780 votes as against Mr Adeniji who scored 3,248 votes.
Justice Ojo, who read the judgment on behalf of the other members of the panel said that the respondents, the ACN and Mr Adeniji, “failed to rebut the burden of proof that was shifted on them by the quantum of evidence provided by the petitioners.”
He said: “Section 11(2) of the Local Government Elections Petitions Tribunal Law 2011 empowers this tribunal to nullify any election that does not comply with the laid down regulations.
“The petitioners have been able to discharge the burden of proof vested on them as regards to the collation of the results.
“It transferred the onus to the respondents who did not tender any LASIEC Form 9A, which is the first stage of any election.
The tribunal therefore concluded that it had the power to collate the results via the valid votes as entered into the appropriate LASIEC FORM 9A which is the only form acceptable for chairmanship results for local government elections in Lagos and the petitioners had brought same before the tribunal.
AMINDA: Tinubu has no organic supporter anywhere in the country. Not even in Yorubaland. He may have to buy votes to win his polling unit.
It is quite interesting that you raise the point about master strategist Tinubu winning his own polling unit, because he lost the LGA chairmanship election to PDP in 2012.

Racoon: Watching the above video should show to rational and sane people that the true about Peter Obi personality and capability is well known to many including those of them maligning him today.
Thank goodness! Many of them know the truth and have attested to it before. Sadly, Nigerian politics is something else. However, politics really brought out the evil in people the world once thought are people of good moral standard & conscience.
Thank goodness that Obi knows the truth about Atiku's personality and capability, which he attested to in 2019 when he rescued him from the political wilderness of IDPs that his former Fidelity Bank protege consigned him after his failed attempt to be Anambra godfather.
newsbook: Anambra State governor, Chief Willie Obiano has re-echoed his allegation that his predecessor, Mr Peter Obi demanded the sum of N7.5billion from him for sponsoring his election in 2013.
Obiano and his predecessor, Obi have had a frosty relationship shortly after his swearing in.
Obi has however denied that he demanded for the sum of N7.5billion from Obiano, saying that his problem with him was his (Obiano’s) underperformance.
Obi said if he needed the said sum, he would have simply taken it from the N75billion he left for the Obiano administration at the end of his tenure.
But Governor Obiano while speaking on Wednesday evening at Ezechima Primary School, Onitsha where he inaugurated his reelection campaigns in Onitsha North Council Area, said the clarification became necessary because of the recent accusations against him by the former Governor.
He stated that his predecessor had demanded the sum of N7.5billion from him as funds spent in prosecuting the election on his behalf, but that he refused to pay the money because it was not true.
Obiano said he refused to pay because he strongly believed that public funds should be used for public good, and not to settle godfathers.
These, he said, was the reason they fell apart.
The governor said that another reason he refused to pay the money was because he was aware that enough money was raised for his campaign by his friends and associates, all of which were never accounted for by the former governor.
On the actual sum the former Governor claimed he left behind, Governor Obiano made it clear that he inherited liability of about N127 billion debt from him in contracts awarded and other responsibilities, which he has been religiously undertaking in the spirit of continuity.
He said Obi flagged off several roads even on the day he was leaving office and saddled him with the burden of paying for it, but he assured the people that he has his eyes on the ball and will not allow anything to distract him from fulfilling his promises.
The Chairman of the Governor’s Re-election Campaign Committee, Chief Victor Umeh said APGA as the political spirit of Ndigbo, has in the past three and half years, availed Anambra good governance at its best, reminding the people that the upcoming guber election was not about Willie Obiano but about ensuring that the state remained free from political godfatherism.
A former Central Bank Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo in his speech said that at this time, the State needs a tested hand like Governor Obiano who has the experience and expertise to effectively steer her affairs.
The Vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr. Peter Obi has advised Nigerians not to allow few politicians determine the future of the country but see themselves as stakeholders by being actively involved in the forthcoming general election.
Mr. Peter Obi stated this while addressing members of the Igbo Community in Benin on why Alhaji Atiku Abubakar should be elected as president.
"Tinubu made living in Nigeria expensive. I will make Nigeria affordable again" - Alhaji Atiku Abubakar
bolaayenimo: This one that can't pay salaries of his staff at KAFTAN TV
You don't mean that he is more wicked than the master strategist in Aso Rock, when it comes to workers and pensioners' welfare?
anonimi: Nigeria: Pensioners Urge Tinubu to Pay Arrears
26 March 2003 This Day (Lagos)
Lagos — Pension teachers in Lagos State under the aegis of Teacher Pensioners of Nigeria (TEPAN) have urged Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to review his stance on paying the harmonised three year old outstanding pension allowance or risk losing their votes.
In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of TEPAN, Mr. Ayodabo 'Lade, accused Tinubu of failing to pay the arrears to teachers on their correct pension grade since the year 2000, contrary to what was obtainable in other five States of the South-west controlled by the Alliance for Democracy (AD).
Parachoko: He can only do so if he can make The Naira strengthen to about 350/$
N350/$1 is even more than what Tinubu said he would achieve in the short term, before getting to N200 by next May.
Three years after hitting the ground running, removing subsidy, increasing tax burden on people to hit higher revenue targets in August, reporting increased exports and borrowing SPV loans to defend the Naira, why has the master strategist failed to achieve his goal?
Do you know why he has failed on a fundamental issue like this despite his brilliance
zoedew: All talk! Smooth tongue. Doing the things he just outlined would require untangling red tapes which would certainly take more than a year. He is not governing as a military dictator who can decree things to be done immediately. The timeline he gives clearly shows that he is either not for real or has a poor understanding of how government works world over.
That was how All Promises cancelled, APC told us that petrol should NEVER go above N70 when they were busy painting Jonathan as clueless, so Tinubu could make his fellow southerner a one term president.
Can you estimate how much APC progreThieves have forced us to pay them as subsidy for the past 11 years, due to massive corruption in their oil industry?
anonimi: Petrol should never cost more than N70 per litre, says APC
January 19, 2015
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described as mere tokenism the reduction of petrol price from N97 to N87 per litre, saying the petroleum product ordinarily should sell for N70.
On Sunday, the federal government announced the reduction of petrol price, citing the fall of global crude oil price.
But the APC through Lai Mohammed, its spokesman, on Monday accused the government of making a show out of deceit, saying “a 10.3 per cent slash in the price of petrol was a mere tokenism at a time the price of crude oil has crashed by about 60 per cent”.
It argued that the pump price of a litre of petrol should not be more than 70 Naira, alleging that at N87 per litre, the government was forcing Nigerians to subsidise the massive corruption in the oil sector by N17 for every litre of fuel.
k2money: Buhari begs Tinubu, Buhari as a sitting president Tinubu was not shy to say it. And mind you every popular politicians go against Jonathan because he go against agreement to do just one term and allow the North to finish their terms. So nobody betray Jonathan, as you can see Jonah move on and continue being Buhari person.
Every popular politician was against Obasanjo in 2003 having a second term because he also agreed to do one term like Mandela, to northerners who made then bankrupt ex-convict Obasanjo president.
Thankfully for Obasanjo, Atiku foolishly stayed loyal to ingrate Baba Iyabo instead of succumbing to northern pressure. That year was the first time Buhari asked us to give him the job of president but was refused.
Atiku's generosity 23 years ago is why we have northerners with only 11 years of president while southerners have 17 years by next year.
anonimi: ‘How Atiku saved Obasanjo from near bankruptcy before he emerged president’‘
A new book has revealed how former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, saved ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo from near bankruptcy before he emerged president in 1999.
According to the new book, entitled ‘’Too Good to Die: Third Term and the Myth of the Indispensable Man in Africa,’ Atiku made all his resources available for Obasanjo’s presidential campaign.
The book, written by former chairman of National Human Rights Commission, NHRC, Chidi Odinkalu, and Ayisha Osori, author of ‘’Love Does Not Win Elections,” also revealed how Obasanjo beat late Alex Ekwueme to the presidential ticket of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 1999 election.
Quoting an account from Atiku, the authors said the trio of Ibrahim Babangida, Theophilus Danjuma and Abdulsalami Abubakar wanted PDP to adopt Obasanjo as their presidential candidate “because they considered him the best person for the job.”
“Implicit in their position was their belief that they knew how to manipulate Obasanjo and the fact that Obasanjo did their bidding in 1979. They felt secure that he could be managed again,” the authors wrote.
Atiku was reportedly asked to join a team to Ogun to inform Obasanjo that he was going to run for the highest office in the land.
“When Atiku and Obasanjo discussed the call to serve as president, Obasanjo said he could not be president because he was a nearly bankrupt ex-convict. Atiku, through General (Aliyu) Gusau, paid money into Obasanjo’s account to begin his financial rehabilitation.
“Head of State Abdulsalami Abubakar helped out by granting him an unconditional pardon. Atiku put everything he had at his disposal to support Obasanjo’s emergence as the PDP presidential candidate and, when he joined the ticket as the vice-presidential nominee, continued to make his assets available to Obasanjo and the campaign.
Jayhome24: Mr newspaper you are joking we will trap your atiku soon keep watching...
Of course he must be trapped in the way that Yahaya Bello and Obasa have been trapped by EFCC under the watchful eyes of the worst rogue politician in Aso Rock who nevertheless announced in Brazil that he ended corruption in May 2023.
chisomkachy: The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has withdrawn the alleged money laundering suit it filed at the Federal High Court against Lagos Speaker Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa.
Naija News understands that the anti-graft did not give any particular reason for its application for withdrawal.
Following the application to withdraw, Justice Nicholas Oweibo discharged the ‘lien/Post No Debit’ placed on Obasa’s three accounts in Standard Chartered Bank.
The accounts are (US Dollars) 0001852063; (Current) 0001852056 and (Saving) 5002309624.
The judge also set aside the ex-parte orders he made on September 15, 2020, which led to the freezing of the accounts.
Recall that the court on September 15, 2020, granted an interim order freezing Obasa’s accounts following the EFCC’s application in a suit marked FHC/LCS/1064/2020.
The agency had said it was investigating the Speaker for the alleged offences of conspiracy, diversion of funds, abuse of office and money laundering.
But Justice Oweibo, on August 16, 2023, heard the application to unfreeze the accounts in his chamber.
During the hearing, the EFCC was represented by Mr. Sulaiman I. Sulaiman, while Obasa was represented by Mr. Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika (SAN).
The EFCC lawyer told the court that the application to unfreeze the accounts was pursuant to Section 44(2)(K) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and Sections 26, 29 and 34 (1) of the EFCC (Establishment) Act, 2004, and under the court’s inherent jurisdiction.
Section 44 of the Constitution concerns constitutional rights to property.
Justice Oweibo held: “It is hereby ordered that an order is hereby granted to the respondent/applicant setting aside the ex-parte orders of this court made on the 15th day of September 2020 upon the ex-parte motion of the Applicant/ Respondent in relation the funds of the Respondent/Applicant domiciled in the accounts stated in the following schedule:
“ACCOUNT NAME, FINANCIAL ACCOUNT INSTITUTIONS, TYPE OF ACCOUNT, 1. Mudasiru Ajayi Obasa, Standard Chartered, (US Dollars) 0001852063 2. Mudasiru Ajayi Obasa, Standard Chartered (Current) 0001852056 3. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, Standard Chartered (Saving) 5002309624.
“Issued at Lagos, under the seal of this Honourable Court and by the hands of the Presiding Judge this 16th day of August 2023.”

In saner climes, they should all be in jail or hell. But here, they have theology degrees and preach in church and mosque, holding prayers every other season.
In saner climes like China, the Chicago drug lord would be dead and gone longest time ago instead of being a progreThief leader looter of our commonwealth.
swaggerjack: Reno Omokri: I Challenge Tinubu To Prove If He Was Not A Drug Lord In Chicago
How does Tinubu hide his biggest loot such that he is borrowing more than PDP presidents who gave us cheap petrol, cheap dollars, less tax burden and widespread prosperity with peace and security for 16 years?
Any idea where and how the master strategist does that
AMINDA: What Christian genocide? Hasn't Tinubu's government maintained consistently that there is no Christian genocide in Nigeria? So which genocide did Elrufai commit?
Perhaps El Rufai committed it well after helping Tinubu answer insecurity questions when the balablu bulaba clueless olodo was literally scratching his head for answers
Maxymilliano: The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has explained why he delegated some members of the party to respond to questions posed to him. According to the former Lagos Governor, he adopted the delegation method “to show team-ship”.
Tinubu spoke at the Chatham House lecture titled: ‘Nigeria’s 2023 elections: In conversation with Bola Ahmed Tinubu’, monitored by The Nation.
At the lecture, Tinubu after his opening remarks, assigned Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai to speak on how his (Tinubu-led) government would address insecurity and asked the Director of Strategic Communication of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Dele Aleke, to respond to the question on oil theft.

One thing I love about Nigeria is how people who celebrated a terrible leader always end up crying like children after a little while... 🤣🤣🤣 I remember Abacha, Jonathan, Buhari etc... I pity you if you think you are competing with anybody..... Na your age and Future you dey compete with and they will answer you adequately. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wy are you mixing up the reality I stated with your own own celebration?
Sleekfingers: Tinubu is already and have all mechanisms at his disposal to remain in power till 2031 . Peter Obi and Atiku are the desperate mofos
Can you spot Obi and/or Atiku in this video of desperate extreme poverty mofos waiting in renewed hope for Tinubu's free daily bread palliative in the absence of 50 million promised jobs?
Abi you have records of either/ both of them receiving Remi Tinubu's mocking akara empowerment for those deceived by her husband's 50 million job promise?
A large crowd of Lagosians was filmed in a long queue struggling to collect a loaf of bread. To maintain order, several military personnel were on the ground to control the crowd. This has triggered a lot of reactions online.
Watch the video, share your thoughts in the comments.

How desperate was Tinubu when he begged Buhari to make his fellow southerner, Jonathan a one term president in 2015 after their party invited terrorists to destroy our country? The same kachalla Buhari he called expired four years earlier o.
MEGAWATCH: The truth is coming out small small. This is the reason for all the attacks left, right and center..... 😂 Datti is just behaving like a rejected girlfriend, I pray he will not drink sniper like most rejected people do. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ati Datti o, ati Obi o, both of them were just pawns in the political game played by Jagaban master strategist of Nigeria a-looter propaganda politics.
Kwankwaso, who is focused on 2031 with NDC's owner -Dickson, is the new Utomi that has put Obi in lockdown for next year.
lexylaw40: The “president-elect” saw in Obi's presidential bid, a good chance to reduce the winning chances of the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar.
The governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Oyo State, Tawfiq Akinwale, on Wednesday stated that the “President-elect” Bola Tinubu asked popular economist, Prof Pat Utomi to step down for Peter Obi in the buildup to the 2023 general elections.
Akinwale made this revelation while he appeared as a guest on a radio programme on 101.7 YES FM, Ibadan, Oyo State, while alleging that Obi received campaign funds from Utomi, whom he described as Tinubu's "son."
The LP aspirant, who spoke in Yoruba language, said "In the buildup to the 2023 elections, Obi who had purchased the nomination form of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), suddenly announced his exit from the party.
"Initially, Pat Utomi had secured the LP's presidential ticket, but when Peter Obi said he resigned from the PDP and joined the LP. Bola Tinubu, a master political strategist, quickly told Utomi, that everyone knows to be his son to step down for Obi.
"The “president-elect” saw in Obi's presidential bid, a good chance to reduce the winning chances of the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar.
"What Peter Obi didn't know is much more that what he knows, he started collecting campaign funds from Utomi, while Tinubu was giving the money to Utomi.
"This went on until Obi's presidential campaign got to a stage it went beyond target. Obi was used without him knowing," Akinwale said after announcing his departure from the party.
Obi defected to the LP after resigning his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and also withdrawing from the presidential race under the party.
The former governor consequently joined the race for the party’s presidential ticket, while Professor Pat Utomi, in June 2022 stepped down for him to emerge as the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, unopposed in Asaba, Delta State.
aswani: Prof Utomi, yes that President Tinubu's Pat Utomi, is in NDC with him still making sure that he is doing enough to ensure that Peter Obí is not a threat to President Tinubu.
To use a footballing parlance, he has close marked Peter Obí out of making important decisions that might threaten President Tinubu in the elections.
Peter Obi should have stayed in NDC and accepted the VP slot. He is now in a much smaller party and his Obidients are being taken for granted in NDC. Prof Utomi did his job well in 2023 and has now exceeded that already.

The exact same thing that evangelists and preachers do to convert people to their own way of relating with the Unknown God preached by Paul to Athenians.
Do you think that religious beliefs are less fundamental and easier to change than governance orientations
Sheuns: We didn’t have religion, what we had was idolatry that was gate kept by a very few people. Islam and Christianity was easily adopted by the people because it offered a different path and direct connection with God. You practically don’t need any priest to do any prayers or offerings on your behalf before you can reach God.
Whatever makes you sleep better at night.
In the meantime, why are churches, mosques, synagogues, temples, pilgrimages etc organised by Muslims AND Christians as well as other MODERN religions?
Alliswell248: Convert that to usd Still less than 100 billion usd Check how much US, UK, China, Japan are owing . US is owing trillion of usd as debt
Ignorant people. Debt is good so far it is for infrastructure development, not for food
How much of the debt plus billions of dollars have gone into infrastructure if roads are worse than when PDP gave us cheap petrol, cheap dollars and less debt burden
