AVAVictor1: He cannot win any state in the southern parts and he will not get 25% required votes from any southern states that is why I said Atiku cannot be declared winner in next year presidential election come 2027 Jan.
Is that because all southern states are selling petrol below N185 and getting dollars at N300, which he promised Nigerians when he grabbed power to make things worse than Buhari did?
BrickandLace: keep your hope alive You are a patient taking a bitter medicine Tinubu is the only president bold to take hard decisions Nigeria is broke. Jonathan ruined Nigeria I don't have control over the population My Bold reforms is already yielding results...
It's been 27 years of Tinubu reforms in Lagos, what has it yielded? Worsening water supply, worse feeder roads, worse ratio of government schools to private one?
How will 20 years of his reform in the entire country yield any different result
Nigeria loses 47% of dollar millionaires, retains 4th position in Africa
Nigeria has lost nearly half of its dollar millionaires over the past decade, with the population of high-net-worth individuals falling by 47 per cent between 2015 and 2025, according to the 2025 Africa Wealth Report by Henley & Partners in collaboration with New World Wealth.
Despite the sharp erosion in private wealth, Nigeria retained its position as Africa’s fourth-largest hub for dollar millionaires, with 7,200 millionaires, 20 centi-millionaires (individuals with investable wealth of at least $100 million) and three billionaires, trailing only South Africa, Egypt and Morocco.
The report showed that South Africa remained the continent’s wealthiest country by number of dollar millionaires, with 41,100 millionaires, 112 centi-millionaires and eight billionaires. Egypt followed with 14,800 millionaires, 49 centi-millionaires and seven billionaires.
anonimi: The eyesore on Bourdillon Road 2nd January 2025
Beyond his neighbours, there is something about the sight of people hanging around a president’s residence that does not speak well of his leadership capabilities. Maybe no one has nudged him to see it, but the impression that spectacle on Bourdillon Road generates is that Tinubu enjoys the sight of suffering humans and thrives in—and through— their poverty.
If all these years, impoverished people hang around you and you remain comfortable enough to keep them just so they can be handed tokens of your large heart, then it means you have a pro-poverty mindset. Such a frame of mind is oriented toward cultivating poverty rather than stimulating abundance.
That is why he could unproblematically relate the story of his “friend” who went from using five Rolls Royce to a far-less valued car and not consider the import of the nonsense he was saying. That spurious account was an indication that this is a man for whom poverty—of others, not himself—is an ideal.
99thEnemy: Between the two major opposition presidential candidates, who is right about subsidy?
Atiku or Obi?
Should it be reinstated, or should it remain removed?
Was it ever removed or was the name changed for payment in a clandestine way
anonimi: NNPCL’s subsidy payment jump by 47.9% to N7.1trn in 2024
November 26, 2025
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) paid a total of N7.1 trillion as subsidy for premium motor spirit (PMS) in 2024, this sum represents a 47.9 percent increase from N4.8 trillion recorded in 2023.
This is despite the government’s announcement of subsidy removal in 2023.
The company explained that the amount, which it termed ‘energy security expense’ arises when there is differential between the exchange rate used to freeze the premium motor spirit ex-coastal price and the prevailing rate at the point of import settlement.
According to the report, government had instructed that NNPC Limited cannot sell its PMS above a certain regulated price. It added that the cost of petrol import is usually much higher that the regulated price.

Why are you doing balablu bulaba over a simple question? If you are clueless about the answer, why don't you just waka pass and let those who are knowledgeable about it answer? Surely, that should not be difficult to do for a smart person like you, right
What has Atiku got to do with Mikano? What is the relationship
GloriousGbola: Atiku did not solve the problem of ASSU when he was in government, but he built and expensive private university He did not solve power, but he put together one of Nigeria's largest generator vendors He did not sort any port in the SS or SE, but he built Intels in port Harcourt We sha know who will swallow the MNAA lamba. The ones he was addressing in hausa who cannot afford his university, mikano generators or importing goods through intels.
Intels was established 17 years before he became VP.
How did he put together generator vendors, who have now become irrelevant since Tinubu and APC solved the power problem with Adelabu Penkelemess claiming that 150 million Nigerians have adequate electricity.
Atiku and Obasanjo improved university funding and established UBEC to provide matching federal funds to help states achieve nine years free and compulsory education that progressive Tinubu promised but failed to deliver for 27 years in Lagos as governor and godfather despite increasing budget 100 times to N4.2 trillion.
Rather than provide free education, sadistic Tinubu and his Fashola lackey increased LASU fees. What would make anyone who is not a wicked soul follow such devilish leaders looters?
anonimi: Nigeria: Tinubu imposed Fees on LASU - another major attack on Education
06 June 2006
Back in February two Lagos students were killed by police as they protested against the recent hike in school fees. In some cases fees have been increased a hundred times over. This is making it practically impossible for poor and working class Nigerian children to get an education.
"The Lagos State university students' union in conjunction with the NANS zone D and NANS JCC Lagos Axis berate the satanic increment in LASU school fees and the killing of some students of LASU during the peaceful protest against the increment in school fees. And call for the immediate reversal of these exploitative fees as a prerequisite to let the less privilege have access to Education".
These was the first paragraph in the leaflet issued by the students' union alongside with NANS zone D and JCC Lagos in February after the students' protest against the fees, which led to the killing of two students by the police on the command of the Lagos State Government.
It will be recalled that immediately after the appointment of a new vice chancellor last year, December 2005, the Tinubu regime of Lagos State announced to Lagos residents that the government could not afford to subsidize education and that in line with the ‘reforms' in the education sector, there cannot be any free education. The university authorities were directed to increase the fees from 250 Naira for old students to 25,000 Naira, while the freshmen's old fee of 1, 000 Naira was increased to N35, 000. This increment exclude the acceptance fees N10,000 introduced earlier to the fresh students two years ago.
It is very important to note that even while the official school fees were placed at N250 earlier, an average student still pays as much as N25,000 to the university or its agents. This takes the form of handouts, registration fees, etc.
Not excluding the current attempt to deny the children of the working class education by the newly imposed post-JAMB test, according to ruling elites, it is to checkmate examination malpractice experienced during jamb exams but from reality, it has been confirmed as another conduit pipe through which money is generated and siphoned without question. This post jamb fee in LASU is N2,000. All these fees stated above do not include various expenses to be incurred while going through the registration processes.
The Tinubu administration carrying out these attacks on students is a master of deception. Towards the end of his first four years, he became one of the most hated governors in Nigeria as he committed enormous atrocities against workers, students and rendered many people homeless. The sacking of over 10,000 workers in 2001/2002 over the N7,500 minimum wage protests is still fresh in the memory of the working class despite the treachery of the labour leadership.
Okay. Not exactly what he said. But that is exactly what he implied. How much is the minimum wage of Lagos state civil servants? He seems to be out of touch and his statements are highly irresponsible!
Governor Babatunde Fashola battled hard weekend, to justify the astronomical hike in tuition fees recently introduced in Lagos State University, LASU, by the state government. Recall that the state government had increased tuition fees paid in the university from N25,000 to N250,000 per session.
Fashola, who spoke at Government College, Ughelli’s, annual luncheon party in Lagos, said Nigerians were unconsciously making the country one where there would be separate schools for the rich and poor.
According to him, critics of the increment are indirectly calling for a Nigerian society which will be divided into poor university for the poor and rich university for rich people.
He said: “Countries that do not prioritise education are always at the mercy of those who place a high premium on education.
“Where in the world have we seen tuition fee of university of N25,000? You cannot find this anywhere. Even the nations that are developed and wealthy do not give education for N25,000.
“LASU started very well and over the years, the population grew and beyond the available facilities and the school began to deteriorate. We are determined to rescue LASU and we will not make it a school for the poor.
“We are unconsciously making Nigeria a society where there will be a school for the rich and one for the poor. “Several people in this country pay so much for education abroad while the schools here continue to deteriorate. It is only in the university that the children of the rich and children of the poor can sit in the same classroom.”

Atiku is as desperate for power as Buhari, or even worse...And we all saw how Buhari turned out..
Even if Atiku promises all citizens 50 million naira monthly if he is elected, we still won't vote for him...Buhari has taught us a bitter lesson about desperate Politicians.
I dislike Tinubu...but I will vote for him over Atiku..and after his tenure, I will support anyone else against Atiku...
Can anyone be more desperate for power than Tinubu who fought and grabbed power to run with it cluelessly, breaking every single promise he made?
Kukutente23: The scam is in the fact that the price adjustment after subsidy removal does not reflect any market realities while it was claimed that we were supposed to be buying at market price. This thread explains it better surprisingly. Subsidy removal scam is about squeezing the masses to fill the pockets of the elites
Quite interesting to see how the hypocrites in All Promises Cancelled, APC accused Jonathan and PDP of forcing Nigerians to pay the government a subsidy when petrol was N87!
Did Buhari and Tinubu ever sell petrol for N70 or less even though crude oil was lower than it was in 2015?
anonimi: Petrol should never cost more than N70 per litre, says APC
January 19, 2015
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described as mere tokenism the reduction of petrol price from N97 to N87 per litre, saying the petroleum product ordinarily should sell for N70.
On Sunday, the federal government announced the reduction of petrol price, citing the fall of global crude oil price.
But the APC through Lai Mohammed, its spokesman, on Monday accused the government of making a show out of deceit, saying “a 10.3 per cent slash in the price of petrol was a mere tokenism at a time the price of crude oil has crashed by about 60 per cent”.
It argued that the pump price of a litre of petrol should not be more than 70 Naira, alleging that at N87 per litre, the government was forcing Nigerians to subsidise the massive corruption in the oil sector by N17 for every litre of fuel.
saintbillion: 250 naira, if you present to them APC membership card, free if u done join the city boy movement

I understand that APC loyalists are buying petrol for less than N70 since 2015, as promised to every Nigerian.

How can you easily make N1 million through Remi Tinubu akara empowerment that is to replace her husband’s failed promise to create 50 million employments?
How can you easily make that money in a depressed economy of stagflation, where petrol is N1,350 instead of less than N185 promised by the master strategist of Lamba-nomics?

anonimi: March 8, 2013 Nigeria operating voodoo economy – Tinubu
FORMER Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, yesterday, dissected Nigeria’s economy and declared that the country was operating a voodoo economic policy that is pauperising the citizenry and urged urgent economic surgery to save the polity.
For instance, Tinubu wondered why the Federal Government is maintaining a foreign reserve of $46 billion with one or two per cent interest and shouldering a load of $42 billion domestic debt, which it services with 16 per cent interest.
“This is voodoo economy,” he said, adding, “they are operating it because they don’t know what to do. It is choking the private sector.
“We must in this country do away with the idea of ‘it is better save the money and spend the people.’ Rather I will say we should adopt the policy of ‘it is better to save the people and spend the fund.’
MICHEALADEX: It's would have been a dumb move for any president to allow subsidy stay one day further cos by now, Nigerians would have been eating from the bin in millions
At what point in PDP’s prosperity years did you eat from the bin?
Why are people now eating from the bin and dying in stampedes of palliative distribution?
Omooba77: The association, in a statement on Sunday by the NAS Capn, Dr. Joseph Oteri, said these needless deaths, a grim reflection of the desperation gripping many Nigerians, underscore the rising hunger and economic hardship that has engulfed the nation.
The National Association of Seadogs (Pyrates Confraternity) says it is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of over 60 lives in Oyo, Anambra, and Abuja during recent palliative distribution stampedes.
The association, in a statement on Sunday by the NAS Capn, Dr. Joseph Oteri, said these needless deaths, a grim reflection of the desperation gripping many Nigerians, underscore the rising hunger and economic hardship that has engulfed the nation.
“While we commend the government's effort to alleviate the plight of vulnerable citizens through palliatives, it is evident that these measures have been marred by inadequate planning, poor coordination, and lack of accountability,” it said.
According to the group, the chaotic scenes that led to the fatal incidents are an “indictment of the systemic failure to address the root causes of hunger and poverty”.
The group noted that rising hunger in Nigeria is a national emergency that demands urgent action.
“Failure to act decisively will deepen the crisis, with devastating social, economic, and political consequences,” it said.
“We mourn with the families of the deceased and demand that the government ensures accountability for this avoidable tragedy. Hunger should never be a death sentence in a country blessed with abundant resources.”
“It is time to rise to the challenge of ensuring that every Nigerian can live with dignity, free from the scourge of poverty and hunger,” it added.
Therefore, the association called on all levels of government to urgently prioritize sustainable solutions to the hunger crisis.
It said, “Palliatives must reach the intended beneficiaries without endangering lives. Transparent and well-organised systems, with the involvement of community leaders and credible NGOs, should be put in place to avoid chaotic distributions.
“Beyond temporary relief measures, the government must develop long-term strategies to enhance food production, support local farmers, and stabilize food prices.
“Programmes aimed at addressing the needs of the most vulnerable must be scaled up. Access to affordable healthcare, education, and social safety nets is critical to lifting millions out of poverty.
“Policies that create jobs and enhance income-generating opportunities should be fast-tracked to reduce dependency on palliatives.”
The association noted that two of its chapters in Edo State (Area 3) recently had successful palliative programmes, during which over 2,000 underprivileged persons were fed.
It added that one of the key components of the programme was orderliness.

But the good thing is that neither Atiku nor his boy, Peter Obi will ever be president of Nigeria.

Kemi is not responsible for the current problems of Nigeria. Tinubu has admitted he is responsible for the failures.

According to him: “The theme demands our collective attention and serves as a stark reminder of the need to create an environment where every worker feels safe, valued, and empowered to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our nation. As your President, I assure you that this administration is committed to creating such an environment for the common good.”
On the economic hardship, he noted that while it is a global phenomenon, its effects on Nigerians are particularly severe.
Tinubu said: “I am aware of the peculiarities of the economic hardship Nigerians face—rising living costs, hunger, insecurity, unemployment, and the loss of livelihoods. These challenges are real and demand definitive solutions, which I am poised to address as your President.
If you travel out of the country you'll understand
Tinubu is always travelling out of the country but he doesn’t understand that water supply is a basic responsibility of government to people. Is that part of his balablu bulaba dullness
Greatzeus: Yeah right, if you don't know Seun is or at least used to be a profound atheist on this forum, and his platform led many away from God to atheism. Both those who things are campaign issues in sane climes. That is if we call ourselves a democracy.
Are you being sarcastic?
What part of Tinubu campaign is coastal road and other infrastructure projects?
He campaigned on crashing petrol price but he hiked it instead. If we call ourselves a democracy then he should be out of office already.
