Sorry to disturb this old thread. But one thing I just want to voice is just how people ignore "positive contribution to the society" in the definition of "success". So far I've only seen pendo89 say that. I don't like it. Maybe it's just that in your common usage of the word "success", it is more likely a personal thing, while the contribution to the society is not exactly attributed to that word. But I still feel if one person does not keep in mind how he can contribute to the society/community, no matter how much he attains, will be in vain, and may even do more harm to the society than good, which is terrible. We have to keep this basic value in mind.
