Thank you very much!
Goke7:
Please don’t apply until you sort out the English proficiency it’s going to be a straight denial if you do so. If you can’t get Ecctis go sit for the required English test and get it done.

As for Ecctis if you can you’ll need to get a letter from your school in Nigeria on their letter head to state that your course was entirely taught in English(medium of instruction ) but if you can’t just go and do the required English test.

Please can anyone advise or provide any suggestions on this? Please!!!

Hi everyone,

Please, has anyone here recently applied for ILR as a dependant partner of someone on a Skilled Worker visa, or does anyone know someone who has?

I am a bit confused about the English language requirement. The GOV.UK website says that applicants may need to show that they meet the English language requirements and have passed the Life in the UK Test.

I have already passed the Life in the UK Test. However, I have seen some comments online suggesting that dependants may also need to provide proof of English proficiency. Since my degree is from Nigeria, I understand I may need an Ecctis confirmation, which costs about £210.

Please, can anyone who has gone through this process help confirm whether this is required for dependants?

Thank you.

Big congratulations to you!

What constitute a review in your case ?
Was there need for resubmission of required documents or it's just the MA doing their thing and asking Barclays for a review?
Thank you!
No, we didnt submit any additional documents. The MA just requested for a review since there was a reduction in the Bank Base rate.

Thank you all for your suggestions and advice on this tread. We finally got successful email on contract exchange after we made our deposit payment. Now waiting for completion slated for October and an extention till December max.
Got a 4.52 rate @ 5 fixed from Barclays.

Please advise is needed on the following:
1.When should we start the Building insurance process?
2. What should we avoid to make sure our offer is not rescinded prior to completion?
3. What are the things look out for on completion and when collecting keys.

Thank you so much for all your contributions.

Yes o

Especially the way she's been calling her out with her full names
You all are forgetting that there is a court order stopping her from making comments on public forum regarding the sexual allegation issue.

It's obvious she's being careful as that order could be a setup!

PoliticsRe: Natasha Not Suspended For Accusing Akpabio Of Sexual Harassment — Senate by AnonymousAdmin: 4:51am On Mar 09, 2025
The Senate still trying to justify harsh punishment.
You suspended a duly elected Senator for 6 months without pay, withdrew her security details, locked her office, not be addressed as a Senator, withhold the salaries of her Aides if not for intervention....just because of Refusing to sit in her assigned seat during plenary, speaking without being recognized by the presiding officer, engaging in unruly and disruptive behavior, obstructing the orderly conduct of Senate proceedings.
So many of them have done worse and didn't get this type of punishment and you want us to believe it's just about seats and unruly behaviour.
Bunch of bullies.

Make una dey calm down, very soon Natasha go drop Akpabio voicenote album.
Hold on a sec folks.
People don't even read to understand. This is a petition and you can't expect her to include evidence in a petition. What kind of evidence can she submit with a petition? She claimed in the petition "again" that she has proof/evidence to support her claims and allegations.

Wow!
Too late for me I guess. Looking at the process, time, and most especially cost, I will focus my hustle on Trainee roles that will accept my BSc and MBA from 9ja! I've spent a lot money and time on professional qualifications for the purpose of career switch. I thought I could use apprenticeship route with my WASSCE undecided
Thank you for the advice!
Lexusgs430:
College...... Enrol for an access course at a college and watch apprenticeship doors open....... 🔓🎓

You should have enrolled for an access course at YR2, on your YR 3...... You would be ripe for the apprenticeship sector......... Better late, than never......

Please Help!

I'm seeking advice on securing an apprenticeship in the UK. Having spent three years here, I'm now eligible for such roles and have been actively applying. However, I've faced rejections, possibly due to using my WASSCE as an equivalent for the required GCSE and A levels.
I'd appreciate guidance from someone who has successfully secured an apprenticeship role on how to improve my chances.

Thank you!
