suco01:
All is well.
All these refund after having unsuccessful transaction on TLC, what of the time wasted, money tied down, profit made suddenly disappear/gone. There should be compensation/penalty for this na. Not just refund just like that. It's unfortunate that @chelseaman is having his own share of the cake now, you will be refunded but when u now said you want the exact phone you bought that one is gone as you yourself knows what goes around comes around. Compensation! yes but the exact phone it go get as it be as you sef know as it dey go

No there shouldn't

Seller also has little idea of what he's selling cos he's in Nigeria with you.

Seller is already incurring a loss by refunding you your full money which may have been used on another deal. And then sell at a reduced rate or as parts.

You now want seller to add extra to the refund, increasing his loss (30 - 100%) while the buyer gets 100% of his investment and extra? Lol

If you sell TLC, you wouldn't say this...

gidieberry:
This was the phone Olared's dealhunter sent him which he provided the screenshot of the request; Phone truly Verizon unlocked, FMI Off and color is SPACE GREY also.
Obviously, something is amiss here

Cc: McMayor chelseamann Anopheles CarlosFelix

I actually saw that...

We just dey wait for further clarification from the oga himself

I think we need to wait for further details...

Ola's dealhunter screenshot of the IMEI says it's an 11 pro space Grey, picture on the ad is a gold. That's usually possible if seller has more than one phone. Clearly, the whole inspection and reset thing picker is talking about on meetup isn't this particular phone.

Then again, Chelseamann had 2 iPhone 11 pro SG from Florida. What if that IMEI is from the second 11 pro? Secondly, Chelseamann said he bought midnight green

Well, further details are needed...

Carlosfelix:
I am sure @chelseaman would have satisfied with the deal upon the provisions of necessary questions and conditions provided by @LOA tosin before proceeded to make payment for the tlc deal
Condition stated below
- BH
-unlocked status
-imei possession
-colour
-neatness condition

You're shooting yourself in the foot, not once, not twice:

LOA didn't release IMEI according to Chelseamann

Carlosfelix:
And in my own side I will conclude they have done imei comparison before they are satisfied with the items to be okay and picked .

I concluded that since it’s personal pickup
@alex has confirmed and authenticate the items to be okay with his boss @mcmayor before leaving pickup location
-BH match
-imei match
-Face ID ok
-neatness accepted
General phone condition

The excuse of not resetting phone at pickup location or same day isn’t acceptable by me

Again no IMEI comparison since there's no initial IMEI given to begin with...

Can't hold them to not resetting a phone that's advertised as Factory Unlocked, Icloud unlocked

Carlosfelix:
@LOA
@myself
@alex

Only 3 of us access the phone

Another own goal...

You accessed the phone and you didn't check icloud. Did you?

Picker and Alex didn't check icloud too. So why's it now Alex's fault it's icloud locked?

Carlosfelix:
And @mcmayor said client reset the phone in his present which he said he doesn’t doubt it that I’m sure him @mcmayor didn’t have the imei

Question?
Where did @mcmayor see the imei he checked to be FIND MY IPHONE ON ..

This won’t be funny thou because where did @mcmayor got the imei he checked to be iCloud locked when @chelseaman claimed and confirmed no imei was received from picker till item got to Nigeria

IMEI on an icloud locked phone can be gotten from the Sim tray, the info icon on the right lower part of the screen on boot up, the itunes page when connected to a PC, etc.

It's easy to run an imei check on an icloud locked phone.

You're doing more harm than good defending your picker. Your picker only needs proof he has the IMEI and a check was done, then all this goes away.
Alex was with you. He didn't connect to the internet, did he? No. So he didn't log into the icloud and most likely won't do it on a bus or bike back home. Then magically forgets his icloud account if he ever had one.
Mcmayor won't either...

Your defence barely holds water, sir.

Thanks

lionlee216:
From my own view of point as a picker, when I get pickup request for a phone, even at the point of pickup, I will check if the FMI is ON and off. upon confirmation, I will then proceed with the phone.

If I'm checking for icloud lock, I have no reasons to keep the search results on my phone since it showed its off but if I'm checking checking unlock status, definitely I will have a copy of the search result.

For the Picker, if the seller told you it's FU, then I'm sure you did a status check and u should have a record of it. If the seller said it's locked, im sure the only check u will do it the icloud thing(I'm saying this based on personal experience).

Providing the imei history based on icloud check won't work cos no one keeps such a history.

Chelseamann already made it clear saying all items must be checked before leaving. So it's it's duty of whoever is picking the phone up to make sure everything is as described even the picker's guy along confirmed the phone was checked before leaving according to screenshot. So I dont see how chelseamann is at fault now.

Finally to the buyer, im surprised the icloud thing was discovered the 2nd day.

All im saying Cheleamann has no fault based on evidence.

Thanks

Nah, chief. This isn't it, boss...

Checking for cracks, face id and missing those during lagos pickup is one thing and can be forgone if the buyer missed it. Having an icloud locked phone is a different case

I'm sure if you sent someone to pick up and inspect a phone, he wouldn't register his icloud on it. I myself don't log in to iphones that have landed in Lagos.

Picker picked a phone and said he checked the icloud, which is fine. Picker didn't send pics of the icloud check to Chelseamann. Picker didn't send the IMEI to Chelseamann. Picker or Chelseamann didn't run an IMEI check. If they have the IMEI, it should be provided from their previous check. If it matches with the one Mcmayor has and the FMI is off, they're totally free.

If they can't provide IMEI of a phone that was picked and sold which in turn was sold as FU, icloud unlocked to Mcmayor, then they're responsible for it. There's no politics here

Picker and seller should provide the IMEI of the phone that's sold to Mcmayor as well as the IMEI check; or a pic of the icloud page unlocked when it's sold to the parties involved.

Mcmayor cannot be held responsible just because his worker didn't register his icloud on the iPhone.
