It happened to me at the Abuja airport too, with the officials begging for money, my bluetooth headset, and my personal clippers when they searched through my luggage.

Begging is their culture at Nigerian airports and its been like that forever.

Even NDLEA folks at the airport are guilty of this. I once missed an international flight at the airport because they delayed me saying they suspected that I had something suspicious in my luggage. It was local herbs (Agbo) they saw in my luggage and said they will have to take it to their lab for testing. I was running late for my flight. They delayed me for over 30 mins and counting.

One of them said I needed to settle them else I'll wait longer before boarding my flight. I gave them N5000 before they allowed me through.

By the time I made it to the gate, it was closed already and I couldnt board my flight. I was supposed to travel from Lagos > Frankfort> New York > Atlanta. The entire flights were messed up because of these miscreants at the airports.

Gladly, the airline I used back then were able to change my flights to the next day's flight at no extra free which wasnt my plans.

Even in the bathrooms at the airports, they are people there pretending to be cleaning and are begging eaxh person that comes in for money as if they dont get paid their salaries. Its annoying.

I think the minister, Festus Keyamo needs ro do something about the extortion at the airports else irrepairable loss of Nigeria's reputation may come in.

I think every traveler needs to record all these people at airports and post them on social media so everyone knows who the culprits are.

Instead of using AI to create viruses, why not use same AI to create permanent cures for cancer and HIV?

ICPC is not the proper agency to investigate this matter because it dances to tbe tunes of FG. If FG wants clean and clear investigation, external investigators outside Nigeria should be involved. Any investigating agency within Nigeria can be intimidated and manipulated.

How can an agencythats been operating since 2015 never have any inflows nor outflows in both domicilliiary accounts? How wetr the staff being paind for that long? The story doesnt even add up.

But FG controls ICPC and CoS office, everyone was clamoring for independent investigation from a private organization not controlled by FG.

That child is just 8 years old. It doesnt make any sense for a y adult to allow a child that young to drive his siblings to school. They can lose all the kids in a single accident and even endanger the public's lives.
