There may be truth in such claims: some historians and oral traditions trace Ikwerre ancestry back to migrations from the ancient Benin Kingdom rather than Igbo land, even though cultural proximity and shared boundaries with the Igbo exist. Language alone is never a perfect indicator of origin; Oworo and Benu cases show how identity can transform after migration. Similarly, if Ikwerre people’s origins seem unclear to you, respecting their own narrative and chosen identity is essential.

Ultimately, Ikwerre are Ikwerre—not Igbo—even if they share some historical connections or were settled near the Igbo. The key is recognizing that historic migrations, intermarriage, and language change don’t override people’s chosen self-identification. If a group’s ancestry includes both maternal Igbo and paternal Benin roots, adopting the maternal language doesn’t necessarily make them Igbos; identity is more complex than language alone.

Migrant can't be a custodian of central diety of a tribe, isiokpo in ikwerre land and eche the same is the custodian of Igbo central diety called Amadioha, not all ikwerre history traced them to Benin.
The means of identification of people are through culture and language and ikwerre proved beyond doubt they are aboriginal, there is no history that traced ikwerre to have migrated rather they are aboriginal Igbo settlers, confirmed by Benin oba in his book I remain your humble servant, those examples u give, their identity is still very clear, if ikwerre learnt Igbo as a language the shld be speak very the same language with their closest neighbour or have Benin words infiltrated or adulterated the learnt language

She did pelvic scan, and in the scan, She has fibroid (Submocousal fibroid 5.5cm). The news broke me and I was very sad, I never imagined I'll be in this kind of situation. We went to the gynecologist and He told us to go for HSG to check her fallopian tube, The result showed that Both Tubes are blocked.

I've not been myself for the last couple of days. I had to pretend to be strong because She was down & has been crying as well. This are two serious fertility issues and Her chances of conception is very low. Even if The gynecologist tells us to do the IVF(Which I don't even have money for it cause it's vey expensive) They'll still have to remove the fibroid.

This are very expensive procedures that are not even guaranteed that it will work and She will conceive. I'm the only male child in my family, in my early 30's. Pressure will start coming from all directions and also considering my my age, I don't pray to experience delay with child birth. I just decided to pour own my mind here. I'm really down, I don't know what to do.

It was a mixture of victory and defeat for the incarcerated Ezendigbo of Ajao Estate, Eze Fred Nwajagu, over the charges of terrorism and parading self as class Chief in Lagos State
. P.M.EXPRESS reports that the Lagos State High Court sitting on Lagos Island has discharged Eze Nwajagu from terrorism charges because the prosecution was unable to prove the charges against him. However, he was found guilty of parading self as class Chief in Lagos State and consequently sentenced to one year imprisonment without an option of fine. But he was discharged by the Court because he had stayed for over two years for the alleged offence while the trial lasted
The Presiding Judge,  Justice J Adesanya, discharged Nwajagu after the Lagos State Government through the DPP abysmally failed to prove any of the ingredients of the offence of terrorism charges against him.Consequently,  Justice Adesanya discharged and acquitted him of all the counts of the terrorism related offences.
However, he was convicted and sentenced to 12 months imprisonment for the offence of parading himself as a certified Chief in Lagos State contrary to the Oba and Chiefs Law of Lagos State.
Eze Fred Nwajagu, Ezendigbo Ajao Estate, Lagos State was thrown into detention by Lagos State Government for terrorism and other offences for allegedly making a video warning Oluomo and other Yoruba Youths to cease persecution of Ndigbo and burning of Igbo dominated markets in Lagos State, or else he would be compelled to invite IPOB to secure Igbo markets and assets in Lagos State.
He was arrested and charged before the Court and he pleaded not guilty hence the trial commenced and ended on 15th January, 2025 after the judgement One of the Defence Counsels to Eze Nwajagu,  Barrister Fabian Onwughalu, described the judgment as painful, but was a victory for Ndigbo all over the world especially in Lagos State who are being persecuted and dehumanized just because of their tribal leaning.“We shall strive to set aside the conviction on parading himself as a Chief in Lagos State on appeal as the prosecution did not prove the offence to warrant the conviction.”
“Moreover, the Ezendigbo institution is not recognised by the law of Lagos State, and so has nothing to do with the Oba and Chiefs Law. Also the conviction offends the fundamental rights of freedom of association of Ndigbo in Lagos State.”“I am happy to be among the Counsels in the defence team, who diligently offered their services pro bono.” he stated.
