By Dr. Ekene Nwankwo Anambra State Polytechnic Mgbakwu held its annual Christmas Carol Service today the 19th of December,2025 at the School Mini Field, a vibrant and spiritually uplifting ceremony that brought together Students, Staff, Corp Members, Management, and distinguished guests. The venue was beautifully adorned in festive colours, creating a brilliant atmosphere that reflected the joy and significance of the season. The program began with an opening prayer led by the Engr Mezi, followed by a lively session of praise and entertainment. A highlight was the traditional “Nine Lessons of Christmas Carols,” led by Rector Dr. Njideka Chiekezie and other Principal Officers and selected Staff, Students and children who took turns reading the lessons and rendering Special Numbers and Ministrations. Dr. Njideka Chiekezie in her address praised and thanked God for ensuring successful growth in school against all odds, prayed and charged the Staff for more works. She encouraged the Staff to persevere in all that concerns the affairs of the school for optimum results. Dr. Njideka concluded by urging the Polytechnic community to uphold peace, unity, and harmony throughout the festive season and beyond. The ceremony featured Special renditions of Christmas Songs and the presentation of Cash awards to deserving staff, including Most Dedicated Staff, Most Regular Staff, and Most Hardworking Staff, with recipients receiving the envelope gifts immediately. Among the distinguished guests were The Registrar Dr. Udalla Edith, members of the Internal Management Committee (IMC) and other principal officers. Participants described the event as “awesome”, this heightened spiritual alertness across the campus. The Bursar Tobechukwu Onwubufor, praised the 2025 Christmas carol as “eventful and unique.” Staff also got bags of rice as they smiled home. Indeed, the program was colourful and fun filled. Anchors of the Carol of Nine Lessons/Christmas party were— Umennaka Akunnia and Mr. Ilouno Emeka.

Celebrating Excellence! BY DR. EKENE NWANKWO We proudly rejoice with our dear Rector, Dr. Njideka Rita Chiekezie, who was honored with the Women of Impact Award by Fontis Aid Foundation, in collaboration with I-FATOSS University, Benin Republic. This event took place on the 11th of September, 2025 at BON Hotel Awka, Anambra State. This prestigious recognition, themed “Leveraging Technology for Career Advancement”, celebrates leaders whose dedication and contributions continue to inspire many. Dr. Chiekezie’s commitment, resilience, and outstanding service have once again been recognized at the highest level. We are deeply proud of this achievement and congratulate her for making Anambra State Polytechnic shine brightly on such a global stage. Congratulations once again, Madam Rector!
