Politics / Quotes From The Just Concluded Rivers State APC Solidarity Rally by Antara: 1:07pm On Oct 25, 2014
By and large seems they raised some important national issues that calls for reexamination, but can we trust this change they are promising, the near future will tell.

Worthy of Note was the conscipcous abscence of the Jagaban himself, Asiwaju Bola and Gov Adams Osho baba

Didn't know why Dr Sam Ndiah owner of leadership newspaper was given the podium. First before even the sitting Govs present.

Gov Amaechi:
Started with prayers and songs of thanksgiving, while kneeling down with hands on his waist as usual, He gave his speech and danced intermittently, sang his favourite song, Jehovah turu gadimmma.......agidigba aay, oooooo agidagba ayyy,

Excerpts:

This rally marks exactly 7yrs when the Supreme Court reinstated Gov Amaechi as the legitimate PDP candidate in the 2007 election (25 Oct 2007). Asides this anniversary, the other purpose of the rally emanated from the comment by GEJ that APC in Rivers State is existing on Bill boards, so I, Rotimi Amaechi decided to test my popularity. 40,0000 capacity stadium full with some crowd outside.
The Nigerian LNG was instituted by Abacha, Northern Moslem, Gen. Aremu Obasanjo set up NDDC and Ministry of Niger delta, what has your own Son done for Rivers State. The FG approved and refused to release common N200million to Rivers state for Ebola, I released N1.6bn for ebola, ask my Comm for health, so Rivers people can be safe. The President took 41 oil wells in eche, took all the oil wells and wants them to vote, Eche people will you vote for him.........NOOOOOOOOOOOO
I built this 40,000 capacity stadium, the roads leading to the stadium was awarded to one of them for N3bn he abandoned the project and took away the money, they are thieves, they have constituted an institution called corruption
They have the Army, the police but they don't have God.
They did zonal rally, hear oooooo, zonal..... in Benin in a below 20,000 capacity stadium and this is state rally with over 40,000. I supported the Senator representing my constituency against the wish of Nyesom Wike, I insisted and paid for his campaign and he won but later joined them, though he's a good man but because he's with them (PDP), we will vote him out

Gov Rabiu Kwakwanso:
My brother, friend and colleague has established himself in the development of Rivers State for the past 7 yrs.
Didn't make sense out of his speech
Abubakar Atiku:
Empty speech, I have been associated with port harcourt, since 1985 and this last 7 years has marked the first time we are witnessing huge developmental strides. Do you want to eradicate poverty, do you want good schools, vote APC. Same speech as we used to hear in the 80s', and 90s' and they are preaching change.

Buhari Speech:
Didn't hear a thing, Accent issues heard only A. Feee. C

Gov Okorocha
Was the best speech in my judgement, He Started with My people, My people slogan and the crowd responded my Governor, my Governor, made a few points and concluded by urging the people to vote right, while assuring them that the Party will not select it's presidential candidate based on religious, ethnic or religious sentiments, We will select a Man of vision that will represent our common interest... He retorted.

Receiving PDP decampees:
Dr. John Oyegun said APC requires men of courage, Men who can fight, Men with vision that can lead the people.
Handing over the decampees:
The MC said all the Mechanic associations in Rivers State have all collapsed into the APC.
