Hello all, Although visibility to other drivers is an important safety factor for any motorist, few are quite so vulnerable to others' ignorance as motorcyclists. An LED turn signal upgrade replaces your stock lightbulbs with a grid of bright LED bulbs --- far more noticeable at night than incandescent bulbs. Additionally, many LED light kits use one or two rows of constantly shining bulbs to give approaching drivers better indication that they're looking at a motorcycle and not a car with one headlight out. Installation is fairly simple --- possibly a matter of minutes if you have a modicum of electrical experience. Regards Anthony Martello Motorcycle Lights |
Hello all, Newer motorcycles do not have an adjustment for ignition timing, as the timing is controlled electronically. Honda motorcycles made prior to 1980 have point ignition systems or early electronic modules that can be adjusted. Camshaft timing can still be adjusted on some newer motorcycles, although often this requires the purchase of an aftermarket camshaft and camshaft gear. Valve timing affects duration and valve overlap, which greatly affects engine power output and emissions. Thanks a lot Anthony Martello LED Motorcycle Lights |
Hello Members, Light emitting diodes, or LEDs, are gaining in popularity because of their lower energy consumption. These diodes operate at just a few volts and, depending on their type, can draw current from a few milliamperes to several amperes. Most LEDs that are used as status indicators on electrical or electronic devices are low power and typically draw current in the range of 20 to 30 milliamperes at a voltage of 2.5 to 5 volts. Running LEDs requires a circuit that can provide the right amount of voltage and current. 1. Cut 6-inch-long pieces of black and red wires using wire cutter. 2. Strip off about 1 inch of insulation from each end of all wires using wire cutter. 3. Connect positive lead of the battery pack to one end of the resistor using one of the red wires. To make connections, simply take the two wire ends and twist them together by hand. 4. Connect the other end of the resistor with the positive lead of the LED using the second red wire. The longer lead is generally the positive lead. If both leads are of equal length, consult the data sheet of LED to find the positive lead. 5. Connect the negative lead of the LED to one end of the switch using one of the black wires. The switch will have a terminal with a small hole. Simply insert the bare wire end into the hole and twist it so that it does not come off. 6. Connect the other end of the switch to the negative end of the battery pack using the second black wire. As soon as you turn the switch on, the LED will light up. Best Regards, Anthony Martello Motorcycle Lights |
Hello Members, LED taillights for your motorcycle are not only more economical than stock taillights, they are also safer, producing far more light is possible with standard bulbs. Fortunately, installing LED taillights into your existing light housing is quick and easy. Conversion kits are available through motorcycle retailers and catalogs. With the availability or relatively inexpensive and easy to install LED components, constructing an LED motorcycle taillight just isn't economical. 1. Choose the type of LED tail lights you wish to install on your motorcycle. The options for upgrading or converting your existing bulbs are endless, so it comes down to determining how easily you want to complete the conversion. Remove the stock tail light housing with a screwdriver and the stock bulb. 2. Install LED taillight bulbs for the easiest, quickest conversion. While these are a bit more expensive than over conversion options, they will last forever, and are completely foolproof to install. The socket for the light fits into place where the original glass bulb fit. 3. Install a complete LED light conversion kit on your motorcycle to match the look of the taillight. Full motorcycle conversion kits include five LED bulbs, one each for the turn signals and one for the brake light. This option will save you some money overall, as the individual lights cost quite a bit more than purchasing the kit altogether. Installation of this type of kit involves nothing more than unplugging the old light and plugging in the LED bulb. Regards, Anthony Martello LED Lights For Motorcycles |
Hello Community, I want to get a new pair of headlight bulbs for my car. Are yellow headlights street legal? What factors do I have to consider when getting headlight bulbs? If anyone having any idea relating this topic please suggest me. Best Regards, Anthony Martello LED Motorcycle Lighting |
Hello Members, Light-emitting diodes, or LEDs, offer solutions to a number of lighting problems. They are bright, come in variety of colors, use very little power, and they can be installed almost anywhere. If you want to install LEDs on your motorcycle then you can put them almost, anywhere, though some locations are more common than others. Headlights: You can replace the headlights with LEDs as long as the headlights meet the necessary regulations for safety and brightness as outlined in your local laws. If you're not sure if that's the case, check with your local DMV. Under Lighting: Install LED lights underneath your motorcycle for ground lighting. This makes your bike a lot more visible when you ride at night, and if you choose contrasting colors then you can create some very cool effects to go with your paint job. Check your local regulations on vehicle lighting to make sure that your LEDs aren't breaking any regulations due to placement, brightness or color. Turn Signals: Use LEDs as your motorcycle's turn signals. As with the headlights, light-emitting diode's are brighter than traditional turn signal lights, which makes them more visible. Additionally, LEDs don't heat up, and they are not affected for vibration or shocks, which makes them perfectly adapted for use on a vehicle that might experience both of these on a regular basis. Hello Members, LED lighting is more energy efficient, brighter and boasts a few additional features that make it a superior choice over conventional lighting methods because of this high level of performance, many street bike enthusiasts have decided to make the switch to LED. LED Advantages: LEDs light up roughly 20 percentage faster than conventional bulbs. This make for a safer ride right after start up and provides more reaction time for both the rider and approaching vehicles. Load Equalizers: Brake lights are not load-dependent so LED brake lights will not require a load equalizer. However, you will need a load equalizer for turn signals because they are load-dependent. LED draw less current, so without a load equalizer the bike will think the signal light is burnt out and it will cause the dash blinkers more rapidly. Bulb vs. Cluster: LED bulbs are very directional, and their light beams do not diverge. For safety reasons a cluster is better so you can make the light more licence as well as multi-directional. This will allow drivers from all directions to view your signals clearly. Best Regards, Anthony Martello LED Motorcycle Lighting |
Hello Members, Strobe lights emit a series of bright flashes in different speed intervals using a Xenon flash bulb. Strobe lights are often seen and used in dance clubs and venues to produce the illusion of slow motion. Strobe lights are also used in alarm systems. In theater settings, these lights imitate lightning, periodically creating quick flashes of light. The interval speed of the flashes is adjustable to create different lighting effects as needed. 1. Place the strobe light in the area from which you wish to produce the flashes of light. Plug the power cord into the nearest electrical outlet. 2. Turn on the strobe light by pressing the power button located on the back of the strobe light. 3. Adjust the interval speed of the strobe light by turning the speed adjustment knob located near the power switch on the back of the strobe light. The speed adjustment knob will determine the interval time between flashes. Turn the knob to the left to slow the interval speed of the strobe light flash. Turn the knob to the right to increase the interval speed of the strobe light. Best Regards, Anthony Martello xkglow.com |
Hello Members, I am going to have Black lights and thinking about getting strobe lights but will it take away from the effect of the black lights? If anyone having any idea relating this topic please suggest me. Best Regards. Anthony Martello xkglow.com |
Hello Members, Red and blue under glow lamps can pose a problem because these colors are reserved for emergency vehicles. Placement of red or blue under glow lamps in the front of the vehicle could attract the attention of the police in some jurisdictions. Flashing under glow can guarantee a potential traffic stop. If nothing else, the police may regard the flashing lights as a distraction. Under glow light kits are sold on line and in auto parts stores. That does not mean they are legal in one's jurisdiction. Legal recourse from the retailer or manufacturer is unavailable. The light kits may have disclaimer on the box that reads "not for use on the public highway" or "check local laws before using this product." This shifts the responsibility to the owner and operator of the vehicle. If one is considering an under glow modification for his vehicle, he should check with the local department of motor vehicles or their local law enforcement agency to determine if the modifications are allowed in the vehicle code. Hello Community, LED motorcycle turn signals are brighter, and as a result safer than traditional turn signal bulbs. But they also have been consistently proven to last longer than standard bulbs. Installation of replacement LED light bulbs is easy and quick, as opposed to when LED motorcycle lighting was first introduced. Then, it was necessary to retrofit the electrical system of the motorcycle to utilize LED bulbs. Here are some instructions for making LED motorcycle blinkers. 1. Remove the turn signal lens by unscrewing the two small retainer screws located in the lens. The signal lens is fitted with a rubber gasket to prevent water entering the light housing, so when the screws are removed, pull the lens out of the housing and away from the gasket. 2. Remove the stock turn signal bulb by pressing in on it and turning in a counter clockwise direction. This will loosen the bulb from the socket so that you can pull it out. 3. Apply a small amount of dielectric grease to the socket of the LED light bulb to help prevent moisture from entering and corroding the electrical connection. Turn the LED light in a clockwise direction until it clicks into place in the socket. 4. Reinstall the tail light lens, and replace the screws which secure it into place on the turn signal housing.
