My mum was one time a devote Muslim. She immediately left Islam on return from hajj. She was shocked and disappointed because of the sexual advances she saw and witnessed.
When a man (who's head is filled with Islam) stays away from his four wives for even a day,, he wouldn't mind to feast on anything in skirt.

My sister in law when she goes there, she's said two girls was raped in the toilet by the janitor. She said every day she's heard someone was raped or touched unappropriatly. While living in Saudi, my US-Afghani neighbour went for hajj…. When she came back in 2010, she stopped wearing her niqab, she was done with her entire head cover. Her husband (Lebanese/Palestinian) couldn’t “believe he’s married to a woman who no longer covers” She was so disappointed in her hajj experience!

I was shocked to hear religious Muslim men (with taqiyah cap, etc) who have completed the hajj, talked in a condescending tone about black / African Muslim women with big breasts when performing the hajj. While they despise them for the colour of these women's skin but yet they objectify their breasts as something to be toyed with. I was very confused with the blatant hypocrisy

A very devout Muslim lady (who tried, very gently but in vain, to convert me) had done the Hajj 5 times. Every time – she told me – she had been 'fondled' while circling the Kaaba. She blamed a particular (non-Arab) ethnic group (she was very proudly Arab herself), saying "they were the worst, but by no means the only ones". However, she just shrugged it off as being an annoyance. It's because we're not wearing underwear under our robes at that point, she said, so of course that excites them, and they get 'wandering palms'…

Born and raised in India, this happened to me a lot, pinching and physical touching in the crowds Now I'm living in Australia and I'm so proud to say Women are respected here, not one man ever took advantage in the crowds or walking alone. With all that dressing modestly, yet this sexual assaults happens. I feel so sorry for those women

Literally every women in my family who went to mecca talked about this , every single one . They said it's horrible but you can't realy do anything about it cause it's very crowded and everything goes on realy fast

I can echo every sentiment and story told, I have my own set of stories and experiences from being born and growing up in Saudi Arabia. Sadly for us, we were not in international schools. we experienced the full disgusting experience of foreigners living in Saudi. In my experience, it is the pit of hell itself.

Years ago, a family friend of mine who is a lady and she went on the Hajj alone and she never came back. It was believed that she would have been raped, and killed and buried in some unmarked grave. After hearing about that incident, I just cant help it to believe that Mecca being the holiest place in Islam is also the most unsafe place on Earth for anyone...

This happened to me! I was doing umrah and a guy came and touched my ass 2 times! I could not see who it was and I felt so so disrespected I cried so much! I could never think this would happen to me in Mecca

A friend of mine was just there with her in laws, husband and her son and she is pregnant again at the moment. Thankfully she was ok but her sister in law had her bottom grabbed a couple of times. They were obviously dressed with hijab etc. the men commenting here trying to victim shame should be ashamed. My friend is a very proud Muslim and found being there a man incredible experience but how this can keep happening there is astounding. i lived in Saudi. there was such harassment of women that i am aware of. expatriate as well as well covered saudi ladies. there were whippings of some youths by outraged mutwawas (religious police) in local shopping malls. the harassment is unbelievable
