Many Nigerians have asked if there were parties from the southern and northern Protectorate that partook in the declaration of Nigeria, or did the British on their own sign the document in the absence of the people involved?

Southern and Northern Protectorate were joined to form Nigeria in 1914. By then the nationalist we know of now were still little to know what happened. Nnamdi Azikiwe was only 10 years old, Ahmadu Bello was 4 years, Awolowo was 5 years then. Which Nigerian signed the Amalgamation document?

There were only 28 individuals involved in the forceful Amalgamation of the South and the North Protectorate. Out of the 28, only 6 were Nigerians. The rest were all British citizens. Lord lugard the first governor general led the Amalgamation (he was one the one to propose it first) and the final signature was his. Sir Kitoyi Ajasa

The six Nigerians are;


1. HRH Maiturare Sarkin Mussulumi and Sultan of Sokoto

2. Usuman Dan Maje who later became Emir of Kano

3. Sir Kitoyi Ajasa a lawyer

4. HRH Oladugbolu Alaafin of Oyo

5. HRH R Henshaw (Obong of Calabar)

6. Abubakar Shehu of Borno

These are the Nigerians present at the amalgamation. They were there ceremoniously. From the names above, you would notice that no Igbo man was present in the amalgamation of Nigeria despite the Igbos having powerful Kings like the Obi Okosi of Onitsha, Eze Nri òbalíke etc The reason is not far-fetched. The Igbos fought strongly against the British rule and they were never in support of their systems. Lagos colony was also against the amalgamation as at then.

The British were more comfortable to deal with Fulani/Northerners. The reason there were more fulani/northerners during the amalgamation. So, the saying that Northerners wants to always rule Nigeria did not just start. It was positioned so by the British. Even the location of the amalgamation was also located in the North.

Nigeria was not formed by consensus but by Force.

SHOCKING QUESTION..

Who signed the 1914 Amalgamation?

Nnamdi Azikiwe was born in 1904 (was 10years old when the 1914 treaty was signed)

Obafemi Awolowo was born in 1909(was 5years old when the 1914 treaty was signed)

Abubakar Tafawa Balewa was born in 1912 (was 2years old before it was signed)

Ahmadu Bello was born in 1910 (was 4years old before it was signed)

Michael Okpara was born in 1920 (the treaty has been signed 6years before he was born)

Who and who signed these papers on 1914 and called it amalgamation of the Northern Region and Southern Region, that we shall live together as one family without *War, Marginalization, Conflict of interest and crisis?

These Nationalists I mentioned above are still sucking breast at the time of this agreement.

You can't mix Red Oil and Palm kernel Oil together to get a good result.
You can't play Jazz and Etigi or skelewu in the club house at the same time and expect a good dance.

*Our problems started in 1914* because we don't know who signed those papers, their names and their intentions for signing it.
If they so called imperialists white signed it in the midnight while we were sleeping, the cock has crowed, we have brushed our teeth, and taken our bath. Our eyes have opened to look for the amalgamation treaty and do something about it.

No Southerner can sleep with eyes closed in the North. Inter marriage is a Taboo.

After 100years we are still importing toothpicks, going abroad for medical checkup, our lucrative cash crops has gone to moribund, Education for all by the year 2050, Unemployment is a baptismal name for graduates, a police officer cannot boast of his work because of vestige of his salary, our Obasanjo Space Center and Satellite Office at Abuja can not trace the location of Sambisa Forest.

And I ask again, who and who signed this treaty? I need answers please 🙏.

Anyways, I think the Nigerian ministry of women affairs should look into the matter, to make sure all that she said was the truth, and not out to paint Nigeria black just to seek asylum.
