diseyi:You can get the PDF here: http://ashob.com/sew4fun-tutorial. But to be honest, I prefer actually going through the thread as it's more explanatory and you can see the comments, questions, answers, etc. I only use this pdf to identify the specific page for a specific outfit. |
Olasum:Hi - did you get a response to this? For stretch materials (like jersey, etc), you need a ballpoint needle. The size will depend on the thickness of the specific fabric, but the general size for an average/medium thickness is size 90. For thin materials you'll need a finer needle (eg 70) and for very thick fabrics you'll need a heavier needle (eg 100), but in general what you need is a size 90 ballpoint needle. |
Guys, I got it! I'm so so relieved. Tho the status of my app hadn't changed from inscan, I decided to go to the agency anyway and I got it. I'm off tomorrow and thankfully I'll still be able to meet my conference. @ Buteh, congrats! @ Khadie, that's a real shame. The Uni really should have known better. documents submitted (it was an extension application): * visa letter from school (I had paid my fees in full so the school just stated that I'd paid my fees in full without stating exactly how much the fees were and what I'd paid. This worried me a bit, but it didn't matter in the end). *original certificates mentioned in the visa letter *my mum's bank statements and my bank statements, together with a letter from my mum's bank certifying the account and a letter of sponsorship from mum mum's bank statement showed about N500,000 and mine showed about £2500 pounds in total. Since it was an extension app, I only needed £1200. Wish everyone still waiting to hear all the very best and God's mercies. Just pray and it'll be well. |
Thanks a lot, £a$y. Indeed God is in control. And I'm going to relax now because I know He's done. It's just I still have a chance to make my conference if I travel tomorrow but I need to buy my ticket today. It's well, I know it's well, so I'm not worried. I'm coming back to give y'all the good news ![]() |
£a$y:Thanks, it's a derivative of my real name, |
£a$y:@£a$y & funkybaby, I know, I know. It was quite a silly decision, but thank God it's over now. No, I've never overworked my NI barely been working up to it in fact. My status now reads inscan at OC. I know this means it's now at the application centre. When does it change i.e. when will it be ready for collection? Should I go today? Many thanks guys. |
£a$y:I had to come home for some things and decided to extend it here since it's so much cheaper than extending in the UK (it costs about 3-4 times more to extend in the UK). I regret it now though cos I've lost more than I would have gained from doing it here. |
Thanks Violent, and congrats. Does anyone know if extension apps take longer than fresh apps? I expected my application to have been out much quicker than this. I already missed my flight back and missed another flight today (for a conference I was meant to go for) I'm really bummed. |
Hi all, quick question. I submitted my student visa extension app on the 4th and the status online still says my app's been forwarded to the BHC. When does the status change? Is there an intermediate stage before it says my app is ready for collection or can I expect that possibly on Monday it'll be ready? Do extension apps take longer than fresh apps? It's been 13 working days! |
