Christianity EtcRe: Catholic Dating A Jehova Witness, Your Advice Please! by Anuliph(f): 4:18pm On Apr 20, 2008
Larrybabe, we v got sth in common. I'm catholic and also seeing a witness, nd i 'd tell you he's the most loving, giving, gentle n selfless person i've eva met n we love each other very much.we've known each other for 2yrs now. i really have my doubts coz of the witness thing. we dont agree on religion at all. did you know that witnesses re disallowed frm marrying non-witnesses? they dont celebrate xmas, easter, birthdays, dont vote, etc etc, ironically he's d one who's talking marriage.
its not easy.
but you dnt have any reason to hate JW jus coz their beliefs are utterlly diff frm ours. however the truth is you cant ignore the relig. differences. I ask myself everyday, can i marry him, smtimes i feel yes, sometimes,no. but he's a truly wonderful person.

Its a good quality.its wise too. I believe in going for the less expensive but quality stuff.
You re not obsessed. Its better for a woman to be frugal than a man.But i hope you know there are things you shouldnt skrimp on.
Once in a while sha, just dig deeper. Go out n buy yourself some manolo blanikhs.
but is it true its a habit/attitude you must develop if you live in America?

You must be really naive to think that your Guy A jambite is faithful to you.
you are working, probably finished with school, in Enland, and you want to wait for sb who still has 5 yrs down the line. Do you think Nigeria is like England? He's probably not even thinking about you right now, with all those beautiful chics on campus. Get real.

FashionRe: Nigerian Designers Are Good, But Can We Actually Wear Their Clothes? by Anuliph(f): 2:39am On Apr 12, 2008
sugabelly:
If you're a fashion designer in the making or a budding one, then you really need some help because you obviously know nothing about the fashion business.

Allow me to school you darling:

The three Cs of Fashion are Couture, Commercial, Catalogue

Couture (Haute Couture) consists of the outrageous pieces you see on the runway. They are not meant to be worn anywhere but are artistic interpretations of the designer's idea.

Commercial (Ready to Wear) consists of the clothes that actually make it into the designer's store and can be purchased by anyone off the street

Catalog refers to made to order items that are not readily available except upon request.

I think what you're trying to become is a tailor, not a designer. Designers have vision. You don't seem to.

Also, the fact that the ankara costs 300 naira is irrelevant. The designer marks up the price according to how much effort they have put into the piece, who they want to buy the piece (designers don't want just anybody wearing their clothes mind you) or how rare they want the piece to be.
Actually, about haute couture, there are highly wearable ones like Elie saab for instance, and many others as well. Some of our designers are really good. like deola sagoe.but a lot of them are trying too hard to be 'creative', like nikki khiran.
