Like 50 candidates were invited for the interview and we shared into groups before the interview proper we first did medicals and physical examination after which we proceeds to the interview hall it was a panel interview consisting of 6 DSS officials, the first question was tell us about yourself, why do you want to join DSS, two reasons responsible for falling standard of education in Nigeria and two solutions, then they asked about xenophobia in South Africa too, some current affairs questions too

I don't know about Mr Dan Ogu's resignation.. But even if he has resigned , He was just the secretary of the board not the entire board.. There should be a new secretary or an Acting secretary. The board is called CDFIPB( civil defence, fire service , Immigration and Prisons Board). It is chaired by the Minister of Interior and has members from every Geo-political zone(not officers). So no committee is in charge because of Mr Dan Ogu's "resignation" nontheless we must remain prayerful. But the board secretary's resignation does not mean only Interior minister or any committee recruits pls!

Why will I forget it..what happened in 2016 might likely going to repeat it self again, coz everything started this like this one.

What I still don't understand is why they will drop the 2016 candidate for detective....is really too bad of them

My brother, you don't dictate for the Service rather they dictate for you. As for the manpower strength of the Service, you don't have the slightest idea. The minimum standard they may take for Detective is 7 and 5 for ND/ NCE holders while 3 for cadets per state. Mind you they can take more than that based on Federal Character principle.

I did that of the Cadets then but has issues then quickly hooked the Detective Cadre. I clicked a high level runs and was assured of being called to camp but things later went wrong

So this is your fact...the service is short of man power and they need enough people to take cover since many people is on retirement and many are still going from February so sss would want to use this opportunity to recruit as much as possible so as to fill the vacant places....can you give me one good reason why you think they would want to cancel the previous exercise for detective... was it not daura that gave order for the exercise to place...why are you thinking from the back door...you can still reapply of you are not sure of your self....am not applying not because am sure but only that I don't want to apply again..

Sorry to say this but I have information long before now that it was cancelled due to reasons best known to the top men of the service and that might be the reason why the Detective Cadre will be recruited along with others including the NCE/ OND Cadre which rarely happen. My advice is that u should still apply once the signal is received in your command.

Sometimes I wonder how some people reason..please can you state this source of this information,...for more clarification m..sss did not cancelled any previous exercise rather they want to add few more people to the list they have already,unlike the guard who are currently undergoing her training now, before they left,additional names was added to the ones in their list before so get ur information right.

I had something like that from a reliable source that the service want to start another recruitment exercise though the signal is not yet arrived... but my question still remains.. what happened to the last detective that went for exams,do their interview and later documented and assured to always stay with their phones.. daura is confuse!!!
