Seven statements that should make you run away from a married man


"The upright (honorable, intrinsically good) man out of the good treasure [ stored ] in his heart produces what is upright (honorable and intrinsically good), and the evil man out of the evil storehouse brings forth that which is depraved (wicked and intrinsically evil); for out of the abundance (overflow) of the heart his mouth speaks."  (Luk 6:45, AMP)

I have often been asked, “How do you know a wrong person for you in a relationship?” And the answer is very simple, “Through his words!”

“But Pastor, what about if he or she doesn't talk?”

You see, the reality is that he or she cannot hide for long.

His words are a mirror of his heart. If you can listen very well, to what is being said, and listen to what is not said, you will always be able to discern a man’s heart.

Over the years, I have had to attend to young
ladies who unwittingly got messed up by married men. It would have been too late by the time they discover what is happening and by that time they are caught in an emotional web.

These married men are skillful, usually older and experienced at preying on young ladies. The sad thing is that sometimes, these ladies are believers, naive, unsuspecting and too trusting to discern between the lines.
Now, words are powerful, and you can actually know the intent of a person’s heart by his words.

The words he or she speaks are reflections of what is intrinsic in the heart.  When a married man wants to sleep with you, he comes indirectly with several statements. When you hear these statements, you should run for your life. I mean, run for your life.

Everywhere the scripture proffers a solution to sexual pressures, it asks you to speak to your legs!

"Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body."  (1Co 6:18, KJV)

Flee fornication! It means to run away!

You remember Joseph ran away? And he became a prime minister. Samson refused to run, and he destiny was cut short!

You also remember Samson didn't die immediately, his eyes were first taken out! It typifies that he could no longer read the word of life. That is what the devil does to you when you start compromising, he takes your eyes out, you lose interest in reading the Bible, because he knows that is the only thing that can save you or deliver you!

Okay, let’s quickly run through seven statements that should make you run for your dear life when you hear a married man say them. Never ever take those statements as compliments. They are the expressions of a lust-filled heart.

1. If I have met you before I married my wife, I would have married you
Why should a married man say this? When you hear him say this, it is not time to feel cool and start blushing. It is a statement that betrays his covenant relationship with his wife and it is inappropriate. Stay away from such a man. If you don’t, he would put more pressure and might eventually sleep with you.

2. I wish you can have a baby for me. You are so beautiful
You are not a baby factory or a baby producer. You are meant for your husband. Never take this as a compliment. Why would a man be wishing this when he is already married? If you feel special because of that statement, and you get pregnant, the next shocking suggestion from him would be abortion.

3. Can I take you out? I love your company
Don't cooperate with this antic. A married man doesn't take you out repeatedly unless there is an ulterior motive. After series of being taken out, your defence will be down.

4. My wife doesn't give me enough attention
It is a lie from the pit of hell. First, you have already made the first mistake by allowing him to make such statements. Nobody made you an attention giver, so the man should go back to his wife at home. It is a just a ploy to play on your imagination and make you feel cool.

5. You make me feel young again
When you are not a medicine or some tranquilizer! It is a lie, he is not actually feeling young, he is feeling lust. As a child of God with a covenant perspective, you should run away from such men.

6. You are more intelligent than my wife
When a man makes this kind of statement, you should be scared of that man. He had more or less reduced his wife to a stupid entity all in the bid to fool another lady.

At the end of the day, if you cooperate with such men, who do you think is really unintelligent?

7. Where have you been all my life?
Lastly, they make statements like where have you been? Where have you been hiding all the while? Never fall for such statements. It is a deceit from the pit of hell.

The Bible advises that we should not be ignorant of the devices of the devil.
"Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices."  (2Co 2:11, KJV)

I pray for you this morning, you will not fall into the snare of married men who are deceivers. God will protect you and shield you continually.

Stay away from such men and don't slow your self down! God will grant you more understanding.

Genotype Love Faith and Marriage Where is the Balance?

Bro. Zerubbabel and Sister Sube are so much in love. Their love affair seems like a love movie scripted in heaven and acted on earth. Everything was in place. They prayed together and even witnessed Jesus to others together. They’ve planned their wedding, number of kids, and so many other things.

Others looked at them and envied them. The brother is handsome, tall and spiritual. The sister looks angelic, beautiful and graceful and with a permanent smile.

Their pastor approved their relationship, as a matter of fact, they’ve started calling her a pastor’s wife since they knew the brother had the call of God upon his life.

Everything seemed perfect until they went for a genotype test and they were both AS. They were first devastated. Their world seems to have crashed. Their love affair which seemed perfect became threatened.

What would they do?

This scenario happens all the time, as some of the calls I still get from around the world are about genotype issues.

What should be done? Where is the balance?

Yes, I have seen an SS genotype person live long in some cases, when they are careful about diet, avoid strenuous activities, take supplements and they can exercise their faith, but that is not enough reason for any parent to decide to get married knowing the incompatibility of their genotype.

But some of them come around and they say they have faith to go through the wedding and they believe the genotype will change.

If there is anything, I have learned never to discourage anybody especially when the word faith is mentioned, because God could just be waiting for somebody who will dare him on that level.

But my response is always resolute, if you want to have faith, that is great. Faith works, and God wants us to have faith. However, I will prefer you exercise your faith to change the genotype before wedding, not afterwards. The faith that wouldn't work before wedding, I am not sure what would happen afterwards. So exercise your faith, change the genotype and get married. And candidly, I have heard of so many of that happening, the genotype simply changed.

Again, I know of a few couples who got married many years ago, didn't bother to check their genotypes only to discover after marriage that they are both AS. That is wrong and risky! A particular couple joined their faith together, believed and trusted God and they had three children and none is SS.

But my standard answer is always a “No!”

I have had a couple of calls where they said God told them to get married. When the word God is mentioned, there is little you can do, or who wants to advise God?

The only thing is whether they really heard God! You see, it is just a thin line between faith and foolishness. You can be in presumption and think you are in faith especially where love is involved.

When you are so much in love, you can actually think it is God because of the strong emotions you have for such a person whereas it is just you.

How do you know if it is just you or God? Get into God’s word, read regularly, and that word has the ability to sift your thoughts and analyse them.

"God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon's scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense, laying us open to listen and obey."  (Heb 4:12, MSG)

The second thing to do is to pray in the Spirit a lot. That helps you to know what to do! The third thing is to listen to trusted authority figures around you. What is your pastor saying? What is your mentor saying? What are your parents saying?

A word to young folk who are of SS genotype. Embrace life, and enjoy it. The promise of long life is for you. Stay close to God and stay in the word. The word of God is medicine to your flesh. God can heal you and sustain you. God can heal your blood and cleanse it! Listen to your doctor and listen to God’s word.

"And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live."  (Eze 16:6, KJV)

Learn to exercise your faith for that and you will be amazed. Follow your doctor’s advice and stay in the word.

For young couples who are married and suddenly discover they are both AS, (That shouldn't happen in this age really, even churches now demand that you do a genotype test) but if you suddenly discover that, then you need to stay together. I know there is a medical procedure that can help, but it is expensive. Trust God and believe God for the best.

But if you are not married yet, and you know you are both AS, and you have fallen in love with each other, well you can still fall out of the love!

When you have not even used your faith once to heal headache, you shouldn’t deceive yourself that you are in faith. And indeed if you are in faith, then exercise it and change it now, not after wedding!

And for those who are not yet in a relationship, the moment you know friendship is growing and you are getting to like a certain person, ask and get to know the genotype. That would help you to avoid a lot of emotional disappointments.

I feel the greatest need of wives is to be genuinely loved by their husbands. God recognises this need in wives and that's why He commanded husbands to love their wives. A wife that is loved by her husband is truly blessed, fulfilled and satisfied. She is emotionally stable and sound. It is okay to desire and confess that you are loved by your husband. Don't give up and conclude it's too much of a luxury to waste your energy and emotions on.

1. Respect your husband
Respect is actually a virtue of the heart. It is a value system you place on your husband based on the understanding and acceptance of his headship position. Respect could be verbal, physical, and definitely attitudinal. You need to respect your own husband. That's an assignment, you must never fail at. In respecting him. You need to know what respect is for your own husband. You don't define what respect is to your husband, your husband  defines to you what respect is to him according to God’s word.

You are to specifically ask your husband what you can do that will make him feel respected. It could be the way to talk, how you serve his food, how you take care are of the home, how the kids are cared for, how you sacrifice for him, how you treat his stuffs, how you get interested in his business etc. don't assume or guess, ask him, you might be surprised at how simple things could be a big deal for your husband.
As a single lady, begin to train yourself to show respect to your fiancé. Don't think when you get married, you will change.

2. Pray for your husband
One of the greatest ways you can fulfil your assignment as a helpmeet is to pray for your husband. Be his intercessor. Pray for and about every single part of your husband's life. Nothing is too big or too small to escape your talking to God about. Pray for him when he is at his best as a father, husband and when he is doing well. Don't wait for things to get not too good before you start praying. Keep your prayer bank full and God will honour you. Your husband will also love you more.

There are some issues that God just steps in and defend you without you having to struggle for in your marriage. It's a spiritual thing and your husband just loves you more without knowing why. I enjoy this a lot because I keep praying for my husband always. I want to recommend power of a praying wife by Stormie Omartian to all wives. Helping your husband is essentially praying for him. He is the head, you are the heart, the engine and power room. Never stop praying for him, no matter what.

3. Give your husband the honour of having the final say.
The intelligent, opinionated and strong willed wives have issues with this.
They are cholerics, goal getters and achievers. They are used to making their own decisions and sticking to it. Opposites attracted so usually, a fast and active wife will probably have a quiet, slow and steady husband. Now the challenge would be, being submissive to your husband when you consider him too slow, passive and weak. You know what, that is your opinion, but if you want to win your husband's love, you need to tuck in this opinion and obey God's instruction to submit to your own husbands disposition.

After airing your opinion, genuinely let your husband have the last say. Remember he is the king of your family kingdom. The king’s words are never to be argued. So what if I am sure he is in the wrong, should I just look on? Not necessarily, you can pray about it but not argue. Give your husband the honour of reigning in your marriage, let him have the last say. Never drag power or usurp authority with your husband. Keep your tongue. Don't nag about issue or over flogged things.

4. Satisfy him sexually
If you are not ready to satisfy your own husband sexually, please don't marry him. A sexually starved man is an angry, frustrated, distracted man. You will be punishing him and not doing him good. The bible says, the virtuous wife does her husband good all the days of her life. Part of that good is satisfying him sexually. Some husband just get angry at their wives without seemingly no reason, buy when you dig deeper you see that they are not sexually satisfied. If you need to pray about this, do.

Prepare your mind and body if you need to. Plan your schedule, get someone to help with some house chores, just do whatever needs to be done to fulfil this all important assignment. I am sure you don't want anyone assisting you in this area, God forbid.

For singles, there is nothing to satisfy now sexually. Wait for your time, and don’t lick hot stew before you are served thereby destroying your taste bud and jeopardising your relationship with God.
