I decided to disclose the address of the federal marriage registry here rather than respond to a woman who contacted me about it. Someone else might gain from it.

Federal Marriage Registries are located in Ikoyi, Lagos State; Abuja, Federal Capital Territory; Benin, Edo State; Owerri, Imo State; Port Harcourt, Rivers State; Kano, Kano State; Jos, Plateau State, Enugu, Enugu; Kaduna, Kaduna; Ibadan, Oyo State; Ikeja, Lagos State; and Makurdi, Benue State. Please every single information you need, I already post it here, no need for private messages. I am doing my honeymoon with my wifey

If you are already married and listed in the local government registry, you have two options. 1 Visit any federal marriage registry to start the formal marriage process over; before doing anything online, visit their physical office. 2. Consult the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of the Interior if you still wish to use your marriage certificate.

I'm hoping this will be useful to someone. Please know that I will not help in any way beyond what I have stated above.

According to what I've been told, most embassies wouldn't have accepted the signed documents unless they came from the Federal Marriage Registry, but the Finnish embassy did. I'm in Finland right now, but I intend to get married again in one of the eurozone nations. I maybe relocating to another western country.

Because of the emails and phone calls I received from fellow Nigerians, I feel compelled to share everything. To save a lot of trouble, please be married in a federal marriage registry if you plan to travel overseas with your spouse.

Moderator put this in a front page so a lot of Nigeria can learn from it.

The foreign affairs ministry informed me that my marriage was not recognized because it took place in a local government region. The certificate and other documents had to be submitted to a friend who helped me to ensure that they were signed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Please be aware that this is a highly time-consuming and challenging process.

Please ask the fellowing when you choose to get married in a church: 1. Is your house of worship licensed? 2. Does your church's license expire or is it still valid? 3. Can your church perform both legal marriages and church weddings? 4. Will your church allow you to obtain your marriage license from the Federal Marriage Registry?

Hopefully someone will read my post and be well informed. I will try to make sure I deeply explain my experience so as to help someone else.
Firstly, the only marriage recognized by the foreign affairs ministry and all foreign embassies is the legal marriage conducted by the federal marriage registry.
Secondly, though marriages conducted in all the local government areas are only legal in Nigeria, foreign embassies and the foreign affairs ministry only accept marriages conducted by the federal marriage registry.

. That guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about. My wife is there using educational route. We did everything on our own. I plan joining her early next year. You must have 12 million or 7000 euros for living expenses for 1 year as a student, before resident permit can be granted ( living in Finland above 9 months doesn’t need a visa) Some school has tuition free agreements. Job opportunities is difficult, but not impossible. I don’t know about other routes. I will advise you budget 15 to 20 millions before you plan to go to Finland as a student.

So the worth of a woman is this poverty list right? Some folks have no shame at all. I spent big in my traditional marriage more like a politician, the governor of my State sent a representative, I believe you can now have an idea of what I am talking about, but My marriage list was so affordable that my family felt insulted. I can only have one advice to anyone who cares to listen. NEVER MARRY A POVERTY MINDED LADY, NEVER EVER MARRY FROM OR INTO A FAMILY THAT HAS NO HONOR OR DIGNITY.

It is petrodollars politics. He paid dollars for crude oil and received dollars in exchange for its product. He cannot disclose the amount he sold it to Nigeria because their currency is the Naira. He can openly state how much it is when the federal government deals with him in naira. The question we should ask crooked NNPCL is why did you deal with DRL in Dollars when the refinery is in Nigeria and it’s to serve Nigeria primarily.

1. Sourcing for FCY and exchange rate pressure is off his neck.
