What's the latest on the medical exams sef? Abi dem never finish?

KIDorazulume: I hear lots of aviators want to work for bristow. the prospects are boundless or so I think. we shd count ourselves blessed for this opportunity. All we have to do is, read our books and pass our license exams.

License exams, uh? Isn't it too early to start worrying about that? It's still about two years from now naa.

Wait o. How come nobody has said anything about a knowledge of what awaits us during and after the training. The later is actually of utmost importance to me. Don't tell me you guys already know the nature of the job. Who knows if it's gonna be the type that completely isolates you from "normal life" ? Something like those work-round-the-clock offshore jobs that we all unsuspectingly crave at one point in our lives. Wouldn't it be nice if someone with an idea answers these questions?

Guy, are you sure you were at the interview? I believe most of the candidates -if not all- were unequivocally told that the stipend is just for miscellaneous stuffs you might wanna get your hands on. Feeding and accommodation are not yours to worry about. The 40k is meant for soft drinks and/or beer, recharge cards, etc. At least that was what they told me.

Earlier, somebody said 15. Now another bros is saying 12 guys will be sent to zaria. I won't be surprised if the next person says 9. The atmoshere is already tense enough and expectations are way off the charts. I don't see how these speculations will calm our nerves o. I'd advise that we keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best to happen. Me i don dip my crossed fingers for inside glue sha. If you like, say na only 3 guys dem go pick. Anam achi kwanu.

njoryor: According to the last thread b4 the Nairaland tsunami, there was a post that stated that Last year they sent 15 to NCAT. Though i've not been able to verify that, i still have that figure to work with.

Are you sure you're not referring to the pilots? Cos the pilots are sent to our local flight schools first (for about 4 weeks I think) where they learn basic flight theory before they travel to Florida.

15 candidates ke? Bros, where on earth did you get that info? From what I learnt in the past, the company annually trains more engineers than pilots. I think that "15" of yours is more like a figure for cadet pilots, not engineers. Should you have any valid proof to support your claim, please share it with the house. Gracias.

Thanks baba. The interview was funny. From the look of things, I don't think those men are really out to eliminate candidates at this stage. Abi wetin una think?

olayemite: You can be asked anything.... Questions were not asked on avionics from me, i was questions on Physics, current affairs as related to aviation and general knowledge questions.... One thing i noticed is that their questions depend on the interviewee response to their questions. After this stage is medical, the interviewers were friendly.... Best wishes (just try and impress them, i did that and they were pleased with me)

Oh sorry, I didn't tell you guys earlier. Due to the festival, mine was rescheduled. I was sent a mail to that effect sometime ago. However, I hear some guys have theirs slated for 31st. Let's wish them the best and hope they get back to us as soon as they're done. Cheers.

It was an email from Anthony Olaegbe. I looked him up on LinkedIn and facebook for confirmation. And he happened to be that slim bristow guy that was at the test venue.
