My Tecno n3 has rebooted itself and in the process unrooted itself, getting rid of the poot.apk and all the applications installed after rooting. The phone has its own self preservation mechanism.
I am not sure this rooting thing is a good idea if your are not crazy about games, which i am not.
I am not sure Androids are necessarily better than non Androids.

My tecno N3 phone has a ram of just 95MB, it is already rooted. Please nairalanders if u have any help for me please do. This is supposed to be about 512, 305.

If you add the mb's you have in the running mode used and unused to the ones you have in the All mode and downloads that should give you a better figure for the size of your RAM if you catch my drift.

Yes. Think carefully before rooting though. My phone went into a self reboot operation.
I am still trying to address this.For instance the battery level icon on my phone isn't there anymore.

Second rooting
I just used the poot.apk. I downloaded and installed it on my phone and followed the prompt.

jwills: @apparition how did u do it i mean d ringtone for message and how also did u root ur n3? is it with the follow up of brainrex at his blog or what? n how is d user exp. after rooting?

First the ring tone
1. Attach your usb chord to your phone and hook it up to your pc.
2.Open up your mass storage i.e your SD card.
3.Click on new folder.
4.Create a new folder called notifications.
5.Drag and drop or copy and paste any mp3 song you want to use as ring tone into or on that notifications folder.
6.Close the folder and unhook the usb.
7.Open the message ringtone slot in your phone and you will find the song there.
8.Click on it, close the slot and Bob's your uncle.

Guys do not bother. I have solved the problem.

Guys, please, now that i have successfully rooted my Tecno n3 how can i change my massage alert tone to use a sung that i have downloaded?
Can i now change my preferred storage location to my SD card?

Blov: YES! u need to b connected to d net so as to have the drivers installed automatically! u will njoy it if u successfully achieved dat. it is also a market whre u can delete and also install applications on ur android. gud luck!!!

I have downloaded and installed moborobo but it can not connect. It keeps telling me i have to download some drivers which i can not seem to find.

Please guys what software can i use to interface my Tecno n3 with my desktop? I will like to perform apparent simple tasks like having downloaded mp3 songs by the same artiste together, copying contacts from my computer to the phone and using a different downloaded mp3 sound as my message notification tone.Somebody please help.

ANYBODY PLEASE HELP
I can not send data via Bluetooth from my Tecno n3 to my Nokia c3. The Tecno phone pairs with the Nokia c3 but the sending fails with the message device not supported. Can somebody please help? Can one send data via Bluetooth from an android to a non android? Thanks.

This whole vpn package isn't working. As it turns out i was actually browsing with my airtel bundle connected through your step by step. When i took out the airtel sim with the bundle there was nothing. Please get in touch.
