Nigeria still isn't sure till today if it wants to be a Muslim theocracy or a secular country. Northern Nigeria has more in common with Niger or Chad in terms of culture, language and religion than they do with the average southern Nigerian. Clearly those who describe Nigeria as being a mere geographical contraption hurriedly cobbled together by people who never wished us well, were absolutely correct. This new Alaafin appears to be a cantankerous character. As this is not the first time he is clashing with the Ooni of Ife (not that the Ooni is even a reasonable person), but I feel it's too early for him to be racking up enemies.
