Jobs/Vacancies / Re: All Working Class Lets Meet Here And Help Other Unemployed by Appraizzal: 4:26pm On May 23, 2017
JLM:
Dear working class colleagues, Yes there are no jobs as such but, even the few available jobs, are the job seekers qualified for it? There is always a list of degrees and all when posts like this come up, meanwhile most of these job seekers do not actually prepare themselves or have the right attitude to grab opportunities.

I have carried out recruitment for jobs severally, and I tell you, a lot of candidates that attend are totally unprepared for the workforce. Its not about having a degree. What about the right attitude? I think job seekers need to work on themselves. The time they use to browse and post irrelevant things on facebook, they should use it to learn new skills.

Some even after stating clearly how they should apply for a job, you ll just see them send an email empty with a CV attached. No iota of curtesy, nothing. Even if you were asked to send just a CV, is it a crime for you to write two lines of text introducing yourself and the post applied for?

I always used to argue with people when they said Nigerian graduates are not employable, but now, I am convinced that many of them are really not. Until they imbibe the right attitude and work on themselves, they will only always have a paper titled DEGREE with little to show for it! As it is I cant even hire some that I have met for free or as interns! Yes that's how bad it is.

Ma I have the right attitude and knowledge... All I need is the opportunity... Can you please give me a trial?
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Are You Jobless? Post What You Can Do, Add Skills And Qualifications. by Appraizzal: 4:17pm On May 23, 2017
I am a graduate of biochemistry from the University of Nigeria Nsukka. I graduated with a second class upper division degree and have successfully completed my youth service program. I have work experience in a laboratory environment both from my time in the university and as an intern with Nasco Foods Nigeria Limited. I was assigned to the Quality assurance department where my job description involved carrying out qualitative tests on both incoming raw materials like maize, milk, flour and sugar as well finished products like cornflakes and biscuits. I am very comfortable with SOPs in the lab environment and possess a keen eye for detail. I am diligent with my work and have a very good memory. I work well under authority and am a very professional person.

I also have a lot of experience as a secondary school teacher of science subjects and am very good in software installations and troubleshooting especially on the Android platform.

You can pm me for further information or to contact me.

If after submitting you CV to about 20 Companies and you don't any response from the organizations,I think it is better you show any CV professional with HR experience your CV for Professional Review. It's possible your CV is not communicating your skills and acquired knowledge well enough.

Also, what mode of application are you using?Do you just attach your CV to your mail and forward it to like 10 emails?

Please what is the right way to forward the cv? I'm interested. Thanks

Take Keke or Bus to ile-iwe, cross the road and take a bus going to Oshodi, cross and you'd see Buses going to Gbagada 50 or 100 naira. Ask people around when you get there. That's all I know. Let's hope someone comes around to help out with locating the streets.
Thank you bro.. I appreciate

Its all about confidence man....I once attended an interview (Customer care consultant) at Keystone bank....When I was asked how many languages I could speak , I posed and said three.... Igbo, Pidgin and English ...they were surprised I just told them almost anyone can understand pidgin somehow as long as you can use a bank
.

I was called tho but a better offer already came

Pls try to know their salary scale for the position you're applying for and tell them 5k below it or 10k above it as the case may be

No fear nah small challenge!!!

Bro.. I like your confidence. I'm a fresh graduate who just finished service and can do with all the advice I can get. Can we discuss privately, if that's. Okay with you?
