Happy Sunday to everyone.
Today I'd like to write on something that has been on mind. Lots of christians are becoming atheists by the day and this hurts me so much. Ive never seen a Muslim turn atheist before. Christianity for me is from the heart. I mean no pastor can give you that. True Christianity I'd what you make of it and how you decide to go with it. Lots of us are Christians because we go to church and maybe because we were raised as Christians. I'd like to use this opportunity to explain the stages of true Christianity and the packages that comes with it.
First, when you decide to give your life to Christ as a believer then please let it be true. I've answered that alter call more than 10 times in my life but I didn't really do anything after the call. When you give your life to Christ on that pulpit or by your bedside or anywhere you're praying and seeking true repentance please know that you've really stepped into something. When you give your life to Christ its like cutting down a tree. When you follow it up by dropping your sinful lifestyle then its another plus. When you drop stealing, alcohol, fornication and those attributes that do not glorify God an you're like " I'm ready now and I really want this. I recommend that people get baptised when they're after true repentance. Honestly, it comes with lots of temptations but if you keep winning over these obstacles your spiritual life will be keep growing. When you've kept your side of the promise then you'll be rewarded.
First with the gift of speaking in tongues.
Most churches like Christ Embassy tell you to speak what comes to your mind. They'll tell you that but its not true. You won't even know when you'll receive it.
The bible says in Acts 2: 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
Some people call it the language of the saints because its heavenly. 1 Corinthians 14:2 says For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit.
They did not cram it and they didn't know what they were saying. Some pastors don't even receive it because they care about the offerings you'll bring.
Speaking in tongues come with gifts too, for some its the gift of prophecy, gift of translating tongues, gift of deliverance, gift of healing etc. When you know how to communicate with God, then you'll know how to pray and get answers.
The Bible saysin Dainel 11:32 They that know there God shall do exploit. Seriously, you'll exploit Grace, wisdom, Favor and anything. Its like its is in. Mattew 6 says Seek ye first his kingdom and every other thing shall be added to it. When you've repented wholly and you've sanctified by the Holy spirit, there's no stopping you. You're rich in Christ and you've arrived.
I'd like to stop here and also take this paragraph to encourage Christians to keep there faith. Churches have failed us but the word of God will never fail. I don't know what you're going through and I don't know how long you've been in that condition but just take it God in Prayers and trust that he'll answer you.
