I was able to defer to Spring 2026 with a change of program from Project management Fall 2025 to MBA Spring 2026 but on updating the I20 my new program was not indicated in major 2 is that normal for people that change program?

Evening, please I need clarity on this: should I defer my admission to spring would the number on my DS160 and I20 change ?

Yours is even better at least you got for the same month, we are both resuming on the same day both I got November 6th but I am hoping and keeping up faith that something comes up soon because I don't want to defer this admission at all

To see date no easy talk less of expediting , my school starts 19th august but I got dat for 25th august, Omo I’m praying all goes well but nevertheless get yourself ready for school like getting yourself in tune for school courses , I believe I’m getting my visa this time around I’m so confident in the lord

Hi, the only thing you can do is to keep checking for when dates becomes available.

Before I secured an interview date for Lagos (this was in April), it kept showing “currently, there are no appointment available for the selected location” and there was nothing else I could do except to keep checking till a date became available in June.

So like every other person has said, keeping checking your AVITS profile, check for available slots in Abuja and Lagos until one becomes available. Thankfully, there is no limit to entering the AVITS portal. I know it frustrating, but keep your spirit high and hope up.

When a date finally becomes available, schedule your interview and notify us here too. All the best.

Guys, I’m honestly at my breaking point. The AVITS dates are turning green when clicked but in Abuja, but no time or actual slot shows up. Has anyone figured this out? Please help.

Hi,

Have you paid your visa fee? And have you scheduled appointment? If you’ve not done neither or just one of the above, it will likely keep showing that your application is pending until you have successfully scheduled a visa interview appointment.

So you don’t need to cancel or do anything else apart from the two things listed above.

If you are applying within West Africa ie Nigeria , Ghana, Gambia etc and those countries that are grouped together in Africa AVITS just cancel your present appointment and start all over (in your same profile) and you will have the opportunity to choose within those countries and continue. If this applies to you pls abandon the new profile that you have opened.

If you are applying in Europe, South Africa, UK, Canada , or in any country that is not listed in your options then you have to visit that country avits and register as a new user. If this is the case you have to cancel all your pending appointments in any avits profile you might have opened.

Your question is a generalized one so i don't know how to answer based on your specific situation. It's not only the matter of same email, it's the matter of both same email and your travel passport number that is being detected as already registered. 👍

Hi Aramide.
Clicking on pending appointment is what will take you to a calendar where you will pick a date. Date is not meant to be displaying like an advertisement on your dashboard. Click on pending appointment.

You should also navigate between Lagos and Abuja so that you may be able to pick an appointment regardless of the year. Doing so will enable you to apply for expedite appointment automatically as an F1 visa applicant.

Note: I do hope you have paid your SEVIS fee, date-sign your I 20 , filled and have submitted your ds-160 completely and your MRV payment is confirmed ? By this, you are now a complete F1 visa applicant who is ready to go to school. If the pending appointment is not taking you anywhere then navigate my appointment option. 👍

hi Efetobore so I already applied before the whole pausing of apointments and checking to see if there are possible dates, its showing pending appointment request on my dashboard
