See, hype and social trend is very important in big brother contest. So many of us don't even have the time to watch the show so we rely on social media updates and trends to choose a favourite. Once a particular housemate start trending ahead of others, fans will coalesce around him and vote him as winner. It happened to Efe, it happened to Miracle, it happened between Tacha and Mercy, it will happen again this season.

People are so funny on NL I swear. I have not stanned any of the HM (at least for now still observing them) but I can't deny the fact that the love laycon is getting and his fans growing daily is all pure love. He just has grace following him. I remember on Sunday after the launch show, the guy was dragged like a tiger gen on twitter, we were even saying he would be the first to go home but after 1 day the perception change and people started liking him massively because he's seen as real with pure vibes. Other HM are getting fans as well but not like laycon.
For people saying the hype on Social media will be the end of him, I'm very sure you didn't watch the show last year. Tacha was hyped daily right from the launch of the show till she was disqualified (and even till now) and we all saw how she topped the chart weekly with massive gap. Same with mercy and Mike. But tacha and mercy were the most hyped and the strongest housemates. So whether you like it or not social media hype is a big determinant on how strong a house mate will be and even the eventual winner at the end of the day.
