2017/2018 INDIGENESHIP VERIFICATION EXERCISE FOR CANDIDATES WHO ARE INDIGENES OF LAGOS STATE.

1.0 PREAMBLE:
All Candidates of Lagos State Origin who chose Lagos State University as First Choice in the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) are hereby informed that the registration for Indigeneship Verification Exercise for the 2017/2018 Admission Exercise will commence on Friday, 23rd June, 2017 to close on Monday, 31st July 2017, while the Verification Interview starts on Monday, 3rd July, 2017.
Venues for the Exercise are as follows:
VENUE DIVISION
Faculty of Arts- Ikeja Division
3-in-1, Faculty of Education- Badagry Division
Faculty of Law- Ikorodu Division
MBA Hall- Lagos Division
School of Transport- Epe Division

TIME: 8.00am – 4:00pm Daily

2.0 METHOD OF APPLICATION:
Candidates are to pay a non-refundable fee of the sum of Five Thousand (N5,000:00) Naira only into the Lagos State University Account online through this link: www.lasu.edu.ng/iive

3.0 GENERAL INFORMATION:
Please NOTE that ONLY Candidates who are of Lagos State Origin are eligible for screening. Candidates in this category are expected to be CLEARED by the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) BEFORE being screened and cleared by the officers assigned for the Central Screening Exercise.

4.0 DISCLAIMER: Any applicant who pays money to any individual/other account / or through other means aside from the one above, does so, to his/her own disadvantage.

Nothing is wrong with your aggregate. For the state of origin, if many of Lagosians don't have up to your mark , you are safe.

By the ways, don't be panic.

The combination is okay and the aggregate is also manageable particularly if the person is an aborigine of Lagos

hello everyone my junior bro want to study medicine in lasu. during jamb reg he choose lasu as his second choice but he is an of zamfara state and he scored 234 in the just concluded utme and his neco result grades are eng= C5, maths= C6, bio= C5, phy= B3 and chem= B3. so the great aspirants of lasu what's your take on this. as a brother I advised him to consider lasu because lasu has less applicants from the north

Your o level grades are stipulated in the jamb brochure already. you can check it again

For you to confirm, type LASU Admission screening 2016/ 2017 on Google you will see the list of courses Students were allowed to chosed last year. Read as many as possible on Google

Anyone who scored above 190 should calculate his/her aggregate with the jamb and olevel. Then we can talk about your chance of admission.

IRK has no bearing in political science.

From experience not someone says.

During my period we wrote putme, Yet we did verification. I have a very good grade in Biology and when they were selecting from my o level, The Biology was ignored. simply because I am to study ENGLISH LANGUAGE, which I currently doing.

Last year, the students that registered through me. I meticulously chosed the related subjects as stipulated in the brochure for them. If you don't have good grades in your core subjects for you choosen course. use the one you have.
You may lose admission if you are trying to be too wise.

Things may change dis year bt for last year. Your UTME divided by 8 for 50% and ur 5 O'level subject combo related to ur course for the remaining 50%.

Hi! Is it true that LASU uses a candidate's best 5 subjects, and not the ones required for the chosen course, to calculate the screening points?

It is the core and related subjects as stipulated in the brochure that will be required of you.
Note that during the screening test you will input the subjects by yourself. If they are not the required ones you may lose the admission.
I will advise you not to play tricks.

You can contact me when it is time. if you don't know the subjects, I will take you to both ICT and admission office.

if you are using NCE you will need to have merit or credit in the core course.

I will advise you calculate your aggregate points by dividing your jamb score with 8.
sum up your o level grade. Then we will know if there is need for you to change to another department.

A1. =10
B2. =9
b3 . = 8
c2 = 7
C 4= 6
c6 = 5.

Psychology is science
philosophy is art.

You should have studied brochure before you write your jamb.
I will advise all Students to always know what you are going to do in the University before resumption. Before you realize, exam paper will be the next thing you will see on your desk.

If you are going for philosophy, we are in the same faculty then.

Thou someone told me lit in English is not compulsory for mass comm O'level, wanna know how true it is

i will advise you to change your course of study because they will tell you to upload your credentials online. If you don't change your course by yourself, they will just deny you the admission on grand of o level deficiency.

check Lasu brochure to Know​ the course that goes with your olevel results.

pls I need see a transcript from a student there. Am not in the country and I sent someone to collect it for me but am not sure he gave me the original.pls I need to see how a real Lasu transcript look like.

You should have requested the transcript online, pay for the delivery service through DHL.

As at last year, the required jamb score was 190. Untill this year's requirements is released, no one can tell you your chances of being admitted.

when the screening form is out you shall be communicated. We are just resuming for the second semester next week 22/5/2017.
