Luc97: My DS did not poop for three weeks after he turned 6weeks... We tried all means possible but no poop .... The day he finally pooped, the poop was so much that I had to bath him.... Just be patient, he will poop. U don't have to worry if his stomach is relaxed. The two doctors I asked said it is normal for EBF babies Hmm wow! But hope he was not in discomfort as at the moment he wanted to poop? |

Giddyperson: Plenty discomfort o, pooping day is always interesting day for us. But mine is over 6months now and even though he hardly accepts food, he likes water so i give him plenty water, plus he only likes bumbum blocking food like bread, gala and pancakes so his problem is many Aww, the good thing is he likes taking water. It will go a long way in assisting in him not being constipated. I pray God's protection over our LOs, amen. |

hunniesuzie: Breastmilk is the "perfect" food. not much comes out in form of solid waste as all of it's components are useful to the baby. Averagely babies poo every 5-10 days
Please don't stress yourself, the important thing is baby is peeing frequently and feeding well. He will download massive poo for you soon Thanks a lot for the info @hunniesuzie, I feel much relieved now. Our LOs will continue to grow in strength & perfect health, amen. |

Stmema: Congratulations mama n welcome on board.... It's OK for him not to poop that long because of the EBF...he will poop eventually, there's nothing to worry about Thanks so much @Stmema My mom also said the same thing you stated, but as the days go by, I become worried. I have even been eating lots of vegetables & fruits these past few days as well, just so that he'll get it in breastmilk & poop. But I'm the one that has started purging sef Thanks once again |

Giddyperson: My son is still doing this at 8 months. Doesn't really eat solids, poops once a week. Oh wow, I guess that's normal then? Your LO doesn't seem to be in any discomfort when he eventually wants to poop?? |

Hello lovely Moms! I'm a ftm who has been a silent follower of this thread for some months now, but just joined nairaland now. My baby is almost 2 months old now (7weeks+). Pls I'll like to ask if it's normal for a baby of that age not to poop for 5 days straight? He only farts & pees regularly, and doesn't show any sign of discomfort. I'm really worried cos for an adult, it's a thing of concern not to poop for that long . BTW, he's on EBF. Thanks as I await your responses. |
