midehill:
DAT one na engineer work...CNT do DAT bro

Whoever said you should keep away from AMD laptop doesn't know jack about laptop. You can go for either INTEL or AMD and don't listen to any side talk. So far Intel and Amd have awesome processors and both have their flaws once upon a time.

I will suggest that you research about the laptop you want to buy and be sure it can take whatever you threw at it. Don't simply go for Intel becoz people are saying laptop with AMD use to be hot.

Again, research and go for what suit you the most...

You can check my thread for software, repairs, awesome laptop for sale and lots more..

pxjosh:
I'm making plans to get a laptop replacement, but because of my budget (70-75k) I'm planning to get a fairly/uk used laptop.

The one I was using was an AMD hp6735s and its bad probably due to overheating. Someone who fixes laptops told me that if I fix it will still have issues.

So I stumbled on one laptop I intend buying, but it's also an AMD but doesn't heat up like the old one. I checked the system spec and it was good (processor speed is 2.0ghz..don't know if its okay for graphics design).

The seller pegged the price at 80k last. I want to know if I should go for this system and if the price is okay. I don't game that much, I do graphics design basically.

Experts please help me out on this.

Alright.. i have 4g ram * 2... 4g is for 5k each... 2g * 2 is for 3k each...

Have u tried to use the 4g ram on another laptop and see if it shows. Plus blow thorough where the ram clip is and also clean the teeth of the ram with a clean handkerchief or a piece of cloth before inserting.

midehill:
my ram is 4gb ram

There's nothing more needed than the advice given above else you already know what you wanna do before..

Cheers...

Hello..... Visit my thread for advice and repair on general issues on laptop or pc. We will be glad to help you with any issues whatsoever becoz we love challenges and we believe if we can fix your laptop or give you to notch advice, no one else will assist you..

Advice:

Forget about the name of the laptop: The spec is perfectly ok for 40k plus you can do the following:

2GB Ram ------------- upgrade the ram size if the laptop is upgradable
250GB HD ----------- upgrade the hdd to 500 or 750
4400Mah Battery ----- You can get a follow come battery or a china battery that you can always manage with it.
64 bit operating system ....... good
Intel core ..................... provided you are not using it for something far too massive... Intel core can do some basic things and play some old games as well.. At least before the advent of all these new generation laptop intel core has been used for many things.
2.31GHz.............. good..
DVD Tom............. good
4 USB ports............. good..
Web-------------------- good

My personal verdict.. Buy the laptop and get a decent battery.

Don't forget always throw your laptop problems at us... No one can do it better...
Remember to tell your folks about us!...

Cheers!!!...

I want to buy it but I don't know if its good for that price and how durable the make(fujitson) is compared to the popular HP and Dell. I have just today and tomorrow to decide whether to buy it or not. Pls advice me guys, is the deal Good or Not?

Below are some features I know.
Webcam
2GB Ram
250GB HD
4400Mah Battery
64 bit operating system
Intel core
2.31GHz
DVD Tom
4 USB ports
Window 7(can it be upgraded to windows 10?)

I will be glad if you can snap a clearer picture or just quote the ram model like the one i circled doing my explanation...

Thanks

midehill:
sure bro...I will...u sabi d tin

You have come to the right place for repair. I will break it down one after the other.

Firstly, my 2GB ram card keeps blowing up. And secondly the system will not boot when it's 4GB ram 2GB in each slot.
What is the cause of this?

*** Check the maximum you can increase your laptop to. Some laptop may not support up to 6g upgrade and some will support up to 32 or more.

*** It may interest you to know that ram are differ from each other. The reason why your laptop isn't booting is becoz your laptop is telling you indirectly that the ram is (Bad) or you're using a ram which isn't comfortable with your laptop. Again be sure that you can increase the ram of your laptop first before proceeding to topping up the ram.

*** See the image below... see where i circle.. Check the ram working with your laptop and tell me what you see there coz that will determine the kind of ram that will work on your laptop.

That' basically all about what you should do... If you ain't getting it right... Whatsapp me for quick fix on 07012981649.

Then secondly screen flickering only began when I downgraded to windows 7.
But originally my system hinge had broken off and exposed the video adapter cable.

*** The broken hinge is the cause of the flickering and i think is best you fix it asap. The major cause of the flickering is merely the video adapter cable.... Can this affect the motherboard or fry it... Capital NO!

But can this damage the motherboard?
Lastly so you have the case of a Toshiba C660-1UT.

I don't have the case of the Toshiba but i can assist you to source for it. I will keep you updated about it.

How much is it if you do?
Can you sell a (4GB) 2GB each identical ram cards and at how much?

Yes....

I hope i have help in a way or two... Do recommend me to your friends.
