Lets be real; He was not born here. He grew up there, studied there, made friends and had relatives there. Using wes.org. Your gpa can be 2.7 on a scale of 4. If your GPA is 2.4 on a scale of 5 you can get upgraded to 2.9 on a scale of 4.
Some good outstanding U.S. universities accept students whose gpa are of 2.0, 2.4 or 2.5 on are on a scale of 4.
So don’t be frustrated.

When searching for school look at the graduate admission or google universities that accept students with a gpa of 2.5 or 3.0 as a start.
