The Tripartite group agreed to N30,000 minimum wage, which the government, private industry and labour unions were part of. The Council of States, which includes past presidents settled for N27,000. The labour unions were never consulted on the N27,000 revised minimum wage. Why is Buhari sending it to the National Assembly for passage? Isn't this a classic case of "bait and switch" where the president agrees to one bill, but submits an amended bill to the National assembly for consideration?

The labour unions will never accept it. We should all brace ourselves for labour strikes that is likely to paralyze the country.

Earth Tremor has occurred over time in the country starting in Warri. Seismic events had been recorded instrumentally and also historically from 1933 to 2011 in Nigeria. The first widely reported occurrence of an Earth tremor in Nigeria was in 1933. Other events were reported in 1939, 1964, 1984, 1990, 1994, 1997, 2000 and 2006. The intensities of these events ranged from III to VI based on the Modified Mercalli Intensity Scale. Of these events, only the 1984, 1990, 1994 and 2000 events were instrumentally recorded.
These pockets of activities were felt in different parts of the country with the southwest region recording the highest number of events.
Tectonically, two causes are identified movement of molten magma within the cracks and fissures of the earth and excessive spontaneous mining or quarrying activities as the case may be.

[b]Sieve Analysis is known as Gradation. Its carried in two ways Dry and Wet sieving
I am limiting myself to dry sieving for the purpose of writing and its easy.
Sieve Analysis done by first taking samples either through hand auger or recovered from standard penetration test during soil investigation and other means which samples may be taken put in a sample bag, labelled and air dried or oven dried and the lumps in the sample is crushed or hand picked(squeezed) to make it even.
The sample is ensured fully dried depending on air drying or oven dried which you can only know through feeling( i guess u know)
Kindly take a small fraction of the soil sample, weigh preferable about 500g into a known weight container or bowl.
pour the sample into a set of sieve and after shaking for a good number of times manually or placed on a sieve shaker for some minutes we can weigh individual sample retained in each set of sieves.

There are methods in the British and American standard to assist us in carrying out determining the required set of sieves depending on the type of samples under investigation (fine, coarse and Aggregates).

The weighted sample in each set of sieves is recorded against its set of sieve and percentage retained is calculated which is plot on a Log-Log graph .
on the graph ... the percentage of silt, fine and coarse sample can be determined and as well other important calculation and deductions can be made such as D10, D60 and Cc ....
