Work has commenced at the Control Roundabout for a twin flyover that would ease and decongest the terrible traffic situation usually witnessed there by motorists.

The Governor has released resources for the construction of the twin flyover that will run from PH Road to WareHouse Road, and from Onitsha road to PH Road.

The beautiful Assumpta Cathedral edifice and statue at the Control will not in any way be affected, rather will earn strategic exposure and elegance.

This project was planned to be delivered before Six months as is being handled by Craneburg.

In Igboland, Iwa Akwa, also known as 'cloth wearing', is an age-long tradition that symbolises an initiation into manhood. It is a ceremony that entails the passage of a young boy transforming into a full fledged man.
When a young boy reaches a certain age around 21-26 years, and the family deems it time for him to partake in Iwa akwa, the elders make prior investigations to make sure he is eligible. This eligibility requirements basically include being of the right age and family background. The participant's mother has to have been married properly to the community and be identified by the women of the community, and the father has to have properly passed through the initiation stage in his days.

After the prior investigations, the participant joins an age group and the family proceeds to prepare for the ceremony. Preparations include buying wrappers (George) from the market that is of very high quality and getting the reception event ready.

Successful participation is a proof that the man can now take up civil responsibilities within his community and family circles.

Many men wait till they're very wealthy before they come home to perform their Iwa Akwa, while some initiations are even done in absentia, when the participant is unavoidably absent. The ceremony is also open to women at times.

Now, the ceremony has faded across Igboland, but is still performed once in every three years, in some towns in Imo state and Ugbo in Enugu State

Gov Peter Mbah is Building a Mega Smart City in Enugu State
This new Enugu city is an ambitious urban development initiative aimed at transforming and revitalizing the city of Enugu, Nigeria.
The New Enugu Project spans infrastructure, education, healthcare, and technology, emphasizing sustainability and community collaboration.
The project will create three islands - Happy Island, Vitality Bay, and Innovation Park - designed with first-class city features.
It will have centralized public utilities like a dedicated power plant, central sewage system, and high-speed internet, aiming to be a smart city on par with Dubai and Singapore.
The first 1,000 hectares of the new city are currently under construction, with no homes or buildings in the initial development area.

The Port Harcourt Ring Road project is a major infrastructure project in Rivers State, Nigeria. The project involves the construction of a 50.15-kilometer dual carriageway that will connect six local government areas in the state: Port Harcourt, Obio-Akpor, Ikwerre,
