Specific information on state protection for individuals targeted by cult members or devil worshippers could not be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate. However, the U.S. State's Department Annual International Religious Freedom for 2001,

in August 1999, the Government presented to Parliament and thereby effectively published the 1994 widely-publicized report of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into Devil Worship. President Moi appointed the Commission in 1994 in response to public concern about a perceived resurgence of witchcraft, ritual murders, and other ostensibly "Satanic" practices associated with aspects of traditional indigenous religions. The Commission's report included numerous reports of ritual murder, human sacrifice, cannibalism, and feats of magic allegedly done by using powers acquired through such acts. It also reported that "Satanists" had infiltrated nonindigenous religious groups and other organizations, making them "doorways" to Satanism. The Commission is no longer functioning, and the Government took no action to follow up on the report. ...

The Government historically has been unsympathetic to tribal religious groups that have engendered protest movements. The Government frequently harassed and periodically arrested and detained members of the Mungiki, a small, controversial, cultural and political movement based in part on Kikuyu ethnic traditions, which espouses political views and cultural practices that are controversial in mainstream Kenyan society ...

A Nation report of 9 January 2002 quoted a member of parliament reportedly calling on the government to formulated a policy aimed at eliminating "evil cults" in the whole country. According to the MP, "many people in the rural areas had lost their lives due to doctrines and teachings of such such cults" (ibid.). A 4 March 2002 IPS report states that "the police have found it difficult to crack down on the Mungiki because of the sect's secretive nature. The Mungiki claim to have over 300,000 members including around 20 members of parliament. Forces from the police and the General Service Unit regularly break up the Mungiki's private meetings and religious ceremonies and make mass arrests. But they have failed to stem the cult's popularity" (IPS 4 Mar. 2002).

"In May 2000, President Moi was quoted widely in the press calling for action against the Mungiki religious and political group," the police also forcibly disrupted their meetings and arrested several of their members in 2001 (Country Reports 2001, Mar. 2002).

Nonetheless, in early March 2002, members of Mungiki sect reportedly killed over 20 people and injured 28 others in Kariobangi, an area north of Nairobi (The East African Standard 5 Mar. 2002; IPS 4 Mar. 2002). Although the police reportedly investigated "the motive" and carried out house searches," police officers could not fire at them [Mungiki members] because the area is normally crowded and innocent people could have been injured or killed," (The East African Standard 5 Mar. 2002). However, security in the area had reportedly been "beefed up" under the command of the Provincial Police Officer (PPO) (ibid). The violence by Mungiki members was reportedly in retaliation for the murder of about three of their members in the area killed by a vigilante group known as the "Taliban" (IPS 4 Mar. 2002; The East African Standard 5 Mar. 2002; PANA 5 March 2002; Reuters 6 Mar. 2002).

Following this incident, police reportedly arrested 13 suspected Mungiki members in Nairobi city and 56 others in Thika (The East African Standard 8 Mar. 2002).

History of the Church of Satan in Kenya

Anton LaVey, a man with a sharp, if morbid, sense of humour began the road to Satanism at the tender age of 16 when he left school. To support himself, he joined the circus where he was a musician and cage boy in an act with big cats. LaVey would often see men lusting after half naked girls dancing at the fair on Saturday nights and, on Sunday mornings, while playing the organ for tent-show evangelists at the other end of the carnival lot, he’d see the same men sitting in the pews with their wives and children, asking God to forgive them and purge them of their carnal desires. “And the next Saturday night they’d be back at the carnival or some other place of indulgence. I knew then that the Christian Church thrives on hypocrisy, and that man’s carnal nature will out!”

It’s upon this revelation that LaVey decided to form a church that would recapture man’s body and his carnal desires as objects of celebration. A church that could offer “a temple of glorious indulgence.” On April 30, 1966, at the age of 36, LaVey shaved off his hair, a tradition carried out by executioners on prisoners, and declared that year Annos Satanas – the first year of the age of Satan. The church wasat his home in San Francisco, where he kept a Nubian lion named Togare – which shared a bed with him and his wife Carol.

With a bald head, a neatly trimmed moustache and beard that framed his mouth, LaVey was generally considered good looking and a charmer. His raspy voice and the slow manner in which he spoke were part and parcel of a man who thought out his responses before making any rejoinders. Also, LaVey always sported a huge black ring on his right hand’s middle finger that children kissed before making wishes – which he swore would come true. “You could call me the advocate of darkness, no one has ever come forth so far and spoken for the devil,” he declared in a 1967 interview. The then 37-year-old continued, “I received the calling [to become the High Priest of the Church of Satan] just like anybody else [in other denominations] receives it.” And, during his first ceremony as the High Priest, LaVey officiated a wedding between the politically radical journalist John Raymond and New York socialite Judith Case, where a naked woman lay on the altar as the couple made their nuptials.

The Chicago-born man became the world’s most renowned occultist after Aleister Crowley, founder of Thelema, a religion based on a philosophy that emphasises the ritual practice of magic. LaVey’s church garnered media attention and became the talk of major newspapers, including the Los Angeles Times and the San Francisco Chronicle. Through the late 1960s and early 70s, LaVey and his church were the subject of numerous articles in leading magazines such as Newsweek and Time, and talk shows like The Tonight Show and Donahue couldn’t get enough of him. The man gained visibility through the books he wrote, his most prized being the Satanic Bible, which has since become the word which members ofhis church live by. LaVey described Satanism as a secular philosophy of rationalism and self-preservation. His became the first organised church in modern times devoted to Satan, and LaVey was often referred to as the “The Black Pope” or the “St. Paul of Satanism.”



The first members were LaVey’s wife, his two partners after his divorce, and his three children (he performed the first satanic baptism on his daughter Zeena) but, over the years, the church has grown and has membership across the globe. And even though the church doesn’t reveal the number of members it has, individuals speak freely about being part of it and celebrities such as Marilyn Manson, the late Sammy Davis Jr. and rocker King Diamond have been associated with it.

After his death on Oct. 29, 1997, due to pulmonary oedema, his third partner Blanche Barton took over as the High Priestess, but stepped down for Peter H. Gilmore, the current High Priest.

Devil worship involves acts such as ritual murder, human sacrifice, cannibalism, and feats of magic allegedly done by using powers acquired through such acts.

Most young people join secret groups like Illuminati,Freemason, Rothschild family and the church of Satan for wealth,fame etc. Kenya constitution guarantees freedom of worship.

History of devil worship in Kenya date back in Moi’s era, where the government had to commission an inquest on satanism in schools. The commission headed by Archbishop Nicodemus Kirima, was appointed in March 1995, though they were derided by critics who disparaged their report when it was published in 1999. The Devil Worship Commission, as it was known, presented its report to the President towards the end of 1995. Nothing was heard about it until a year later when Mr Moi said it would not be made public because it contained sensitive information.

This, in turn, fueled speculation with claims in Parliament that the government was reluctant to publish the report because it had fingered prominent people.



The report concluded that devil worship was commonplace in Kenya and recommended establishing a special police force to investigate crimes of the occult. It also reported that “Satanists” had infiltrated non-indigenous religious groups and other organizations, making them “doorways” to Satanism.

The Government took no action to follow up on the report.

Dr. David Githii of the Presbyterian Church of East Africa, a reverend who was defrocked after claiming that the church was riddled with devil worship, continues to preach and still stands by his word that “there are several satanic symbols in public institutions.” In March 2007, he published a book titled Exposing and Conquering Satanic Forces Over Kenya, which revealed how satanic powers were holding the nation captive through symbols. The symbols include the Court of Arms, the Baphomet on top of the Speaker of the National Assembly’s chair, The Babylonian Lion at the Attorney General’s office, the caduceus used as emblems by major hospitals, the blazing star at the entrance to parliament and snake-like sculptures within parliament buildings. The doctor also claims that Harambee Avenue and Harambee House were altars that celebrated Ambe, a Hindu goddess praised and venerated using the phrase “Harambee”.



There have also been a series of past accidents involving the PCEA church that have led to accusations that the church was sacrifising it’s members.

• In April 2012, seven youths from (Presbyterian Church of East Africa) PCEA Church-Dagoreti died at the Hells Gate National Park after being swept away by floods.

• Four months later, 13 members (women) of the same church PCEA – Thika died while on a retreat in Tanzania.

• August 2012, a PCEA Church in Mombasa was vandalized and burnt by a rowdy mass of rioters.

•On Saturday 14th Dec 2013 another fatal accident in Mariakani, Mombasa killing 4 and 6 others seriously injured.

Not long ago Kenya was shocked to learn about a serial killer, Onyancha, who claimed to have killed 17 people, saying his actions are a result of a cult into which he was inducted while in high school.

Salgaa blackspot that has claimed hundreds of lives, lawyer Paul Magu who killed wife, daughter and self, Quincy Timberlake (husband to former KTN journalist Ester Arunga) killing of son claiming he was possessed are some of the latest incidents/accidents thought to have been orchestrated from satanic acts.

Kenya is now grappling with atheists. Under the banner “Atheists In Kenya (AIK)”. They recently made demands for the word God to be expunged from the National Anthem arguing that it does not promote the sense of inclusivity since not all Kenyans believe in God.

Satanism is so common, says the report, that a special police force must be set up to tackle the problem. It says many schools and colleges have been infiltrated with devil worshippers, and calls the Mormons and the Freemasons "gateways to devil worship".

The report has been embargoed since July 1995, when it was first presented to President Daniel arap Moi. He announced that it would not be made public because it contained sensitive information with "legal implications".

But last week the report, written by a Catholic archbishop and leading members of Christian churches, was leaked to The Daily Nation newspaper, which serialised it.



Citing a case study, The Nation wrote about a student who witnessed a satanic ritual: "A human body was brought into the room and roasted at an altar. Those present drank human blood and ate the flesh with relish."

The four-day serialisation has triggered national debate.

Kirk Waldron, director of the Kenya mission of the Mormons, said: "We cannot accept judgmental and pernicious lies about our church."

But the majority of ordinary Kenyans have taken the report seriously. "Kenya is under the control of devil worshippers," said Tasneem Rehamanji, a 24-year-old secretary.

Journalist Gitau Warigi wrote: "The report is no more than narrow-minded prejudice from the mainstream churches, who sniff the hand of Satan in anything that does not fit into their religious world view."

John Githongo, a director of the African Strategic Research Institute, said there had never been a proven case of Satanism in Kenya.

"Religious superstition had inspired a ridiculous commission to investigate a ridiculous thing and write a ridiculous report," he said.

"The commission's findings... read likes a who's who of groups that deviate even slightly from Christian orthodoxy and their conclusions end up reeking of shaky evidence and a Christian bias."

The Weekly Citizen newsletter claimed that Nairobi businessmen Samuel Macharia and Chris Kirubi were the "gurus of devil worship".

Mr Macharia said: "People are desperate to explain why there is so much hardship and adversity in their lives, but their problems have more to do with politics and the economy than with the devil."




Wherever they are satanists they started off Roman Catholics. The founder of the Church of Satan Anton Lavey is a born and breed Catholic. To be a Roman is to be North African Black so all others are Catholics. African American GOP legislator draws sharp criticism after calling Black Lives Matter 'terrorist' group

The first black Republican elected to the Arizona Legislature is facing blowback after calling Black Lives Matter a “terrorist organization” and attacking the character of George Floyd, the man who died at the hands of Minneapolis police last week.



On top of the public criticism, at least two prominent advocacy groups are now refusing to work with the lawmaker — Rep. Walt Blackman of Snowflake — on future legislation. 

Blackman initially denounced the Black Lives Matter movement on KFYI's"Conservative Circus with James T. Harris," saying left-wing "anti-fascists" had infiltrated the movement.

He criticized Arizona Schools Superintendent Kathy Hoffman for her support of the organization on the show, likening it to "a governor writing and supporting and endorsing the KKK or an extremist right group and putting it on their letterhead.”

Blackman also slammed Floyd, who died on May 25 after a police officer knelt on his neck for nearly nine minutes, as "no saint" and "invested in crime" in a video he posted to Facebook. He titled the video: “I DO NOT support George Floyd and I refuse to see him as a martyr. But I hope his family receives justice."

The backlash from activists was swift. The American Friends Services Committee-Arizona — a justice reform organization that has worked closely with Blackman to change the state's sentencing laws — announced Thursday it would no longer partner with him.

"To simply denounce Rep. Blackman’s harmful statements will not heal our communities or help create change," the group said in a statement.

It said it was "vital to hold people accountable for their words and deeds, particularly those in whom we have placed our trust and support."

The American Civil Liberties Union of Arizona also said it would "not affiliate with someone who does not share our values of uplifting marginalized communities and rooting out racism."

Blackman: Black Lives Matter goes against U.S. principles 

Blackman doubled down on his remarks, first reported by the Arizona Capitol Times, in an interview with The Arizona Republic.

He described Black Lives Matter as an "ideology that goes against the very concepts and precepts of our principles in the United States."

"They started out one way, and they were about helping the community and pulling themselves up," he said. "Today, they have splinter organizations that have moved away from the original message that have been infiltrated by antifa … and the message is not the same as it was.”

'Antifa' is a reference to anti-fascist groups.

Asked if he was supportive of other organizations seeking to confront police brutality, Blackman questioned whether such brutality existed.

“Fifty-eight police officers were killed in the line of duty last year alone," he said. "Why don’t you have those numbers?”

AFSC-AZ didn't pull any punches, deeming Blackman's comments "offensive" and "irresponsible." 

The group said his remarks, particularly the criticism of Floyd's record, did not align “with our values and commitment to uphold the worth and dignity of all people, regardless of who they are or what they have done."

Hoffman was more generous, saying in a written statement that she respected Blackman's right to his point of view.

"As a public servant elected to serve all Arizonans, I am committed to continuing to work toward building understanding, empathy, and policy solutions grounded in equity and inclusion,” Hoffman said.

She said her "door remains open for future meetings and conversations." 

BLM member: 'He doesn't represent us'

Tiera Rainey, a member of Black Lives Matter Tucson, said she wanted to be "perfectly clear that BLM period is not a terrorist organization — period." She said she wasn't disappointed by Blackman's remarks, however, because she didn't expect anything different.

"He doesn’t represent us," said Rainey, who has worked as a program coordinator for AFSC-AZ but said the decision to cut ties was not at her behest. "He never has, never will."

Blackman, a small business owner and Army veteran, lives in Snowflake — a town of about 6,000 where 0% of the population is black, according to U.S. Census data. 

Since taking office in 2019, he has championed efforts to ease Arizona's sentencing laws through earned release programs at state prisons, among other justice reforms. But he also has supported "law and order" bills, such as a proposal that would've set mandatory sentencing minimums for people caught with even small amounts of heroin or fentanyl.

He generally aligns with his conservative counterparts on social issues. In response to state or national conversations about racism, he often returns to conservative talking points such as stopping "black-on-black violence" and the "19 million black babies aborted" since Roe v. Wade, he says.

"Some people are surprised, asking, 'How can he advocate for criminal justice reform and then invalidate George Floyd’s experience because of his criminal record?'" Rainey said. "I think this is shining a light on what has been a longstanding hypocrisy within the conservative championing of criminal justice reform."

She said Blackman's brand of reform focuses on the end point of incarceration, when a personal already is in prison — a "pretty picture of redemption that doesn’t disrupt the power structure in any substantial matter," she said.

On the other hand, Black Lives Matter — which began as a call to action “in response to state-sanctioned violence and anti-Black racism,” according to its website — wants to cut mass incarceration off at the root.

"We supposedly don’t have money for our public schools. We're having folks that are literally about to lose their houses and their businesses. We’re feeling the heat and squeeze, and we’re being told there are no resources for these things that the larger community needs," Rainey said. "But we continually have millions of dollars to pour into policing?

"George Floyd wasn’t a 'martyr,' as Rep. Blackman said," Rainey said. "He’s the conduit with which people are airing larger grievances with systemic failures that are affecting everyone."





Of course gay warriors have been used to terrorize down through history. Black Lives Matter is a gay terrorist group put together by the Democrats who are the party behind the terror of the Klu Klux Klan. These are Black and White illegitimate children of slave owners who are taking to the streets causing anarchy.
