This is what I call educational poison at its finest.
op has clearly never set eyes on a dictionary before
What do you mean by educational poison? Do you mean these things are not correct? Or the corrected ones do not exist?
EducationCommon Words That Are Not Found In The English Language by AROLEinspired(op): 5:24pm On Aug 07, 2019
Good day everyone! Welcome to Class!

Very quickly today, we shall be looking at some common words or group of words we use in our everyday conversations that are actually not correct or are not found in the Standard English Language.

Please learn

Do you know there is nothing like:

grin This month is your month of divine upliftment?

Why? - there is no such word like upliftment in the English language. We coined it for ourselves. What exists in the standard English language is uplift or uplifting.

So, you should say:

✅This month is your month of divine uplift or divine uplifting

grin*My sister's husband is just a Godsent to this family?*

Why? - you cannot find such word as Godsent in the English language dictionary. You can use the two words separately in a sentence, as in:

God has sent my sister's husband to us in this family

Now, the correct word to use is *Godsend* which means a good thing that happens unexpectedly and helps somebody or something when they need it. So the sentence should be corrected as:

✅My sister's husband is a Godsend to this family

*I don't like making friends with gossipers?*

Why? - the word _gossipper_ is alien to the English language. We Nigerians coined it for ourselves. The right word is _gossip_ which can be used as a noun and as a verb, such as:

✅ I don't like making friends with gossips. (as a noun)

✅I don't like the way she gossips around. (as a verb)

*My younger brother is now a matured man?*♂

Why? - there are just two ways to using the word _mature_
, one, as a verb and two as an adjective.

When used as a verb, it takes "-ed" in the past tense form but will not take a noun immediately after it, as in:

✅[b]*My younger brother has grown so matured now* or *My younger brother is matured enough now*

When used as an adjective, we describes a noun and thus should not take the "-ed" form, as in:

✅*My younger brother is now a mature man*_

 *I don't really like people with k-leg?*

Why? - what exists in the standard English is _knock - kneeled_ (Are you trying to laugh?)

EducationSUMMARY - In Dependence By Sarah Ladipo Mandika (4) by AROLEinspired(op): 5:14am On Apr 08, 2017
Tayo and Vanessa
will find themselves again after 3
decades and a lifetime of events that will see their families ripped
apart and a continent’s promise
of a golden independence broken. In Dependence is described as a
love story. But it is more than
that. It tracesthe trajectory of
Nigeria’s political history; the
military coups, the bad and
treacherous leadership, and its renewed tentative steps towards
democracy. It speaks to the
demise (in the 1980s) of Nigeria’s
international.reputation and the
country’s rapidly destabilizing
reality. It looks at the poor whose situation never improved but
actually worsened. Using events
in Tayo’s life, it. describes the
effects of misrule on the
country’s universities and the
ensuing massive brain drain that Africa experienced in the 1980s.
The author achieves all this with
a voice and an outlook that is
truly authentic and objective. I
loved the scenes in the 1960s.

EducationSUMMARY - In Dependence By Sarah Ladipo Mandika (3) by AROLEinspired(op): 10:14pm On Apr 07, 2017
Tayo Ajayi prepares to set sail for England where he has been accepted into Oxford University on a scholarship. Nigeria and Africa are abuzz with independence fervor. The continent is also at the beginning of its journey towards an expected bright and self- determined future. In Oxford, Tayo joins other young students, African and British, who talk about the Civil Rights Movement, the cultural and sexual revolutions, and about apartheid in South Africa. Malcolm X visits his college. It’s a rarefied world of the future leaders and intellectuals of Africa and the children of the old World order and the British Empire. Tayo meets and falls in love with Vanessa Richardson, British colonial officer’s daughter. And they negotiate their relationship against a background of race and racism. Most notably, Vanessa’s father openly discourages any talk of marriage, implying that Tayo is not a suitable match for his daughter. Tayo also worries whether his family back in Nigeria will accept Vanessa. The couple’s relationship hits a stumbling block when Tayo is recalled to Nigeria to attend to his sick father.

There are quite a number of women in his
life that he hurts.
Vanessa, on the other hand,
dreams of being a journalist
writing on African issues,
marrying Tayo and moving with him to Nigeria to start a new life.
Unfortunately life gets in the way
and a host of things prevent most
of her dreams from coming true.
She does end up living one of her
dreams - being a world renowned journalist on African issues. Tayo and Vanessa end up living
their lives independent of each
other but no matter what they did,
and where they were, the
thoughts and love they had for
each other lingered on (even though the other didn't
necessarily know). I guess love
really does stand the test of time.

In Dependence tells the story of
Tayo Ajayi, a Nigerian man who
gets a scholarship to study at
Oxford in the 1960s, and
Vanessa Richardson, the
daughter of an ex-colonial officer. While it is a story of their love
which spans from 1963 to 1998,
it's way more than that. It's also a
story about Nigeria, its
independence and the changes
that occur in the country post- independence - the Biafran war,
the first coup and the numerous
countercoups, military
dictatorships, the brief return to
civilian rule, exile of Nigerians,
and towards the end of the book the eventual return to democracy.
There are also issues of race,
racism and cultural differences.
We see Tayo, Vanessa, as well
as a host of other characters, live
their lives amidst all these issues. Tayo is an intelligent man but he
always seems to do wrong. He
tries to do the right thing, never
wants to hurt anyone but in the
end he does, especially the
women in his life -

EducationThe Chemistry Of Idioms 1 by AROLEinspired(op): 6:36pm On Apr 06, 2017
Idioms have at least two elements even as we have in Chemistry. These two elements combine to form a compound. Two parts are compared to bring out the meaning of an idiom.
Idiom uses the following level of comparisons:
1. METAPHORS, which is comparing something with another sharply or directly as in:
There are some bad eggs in the police
In this expression, you can see the sharp comparison made here. (You can imagine how bad eggs smell)

There are other examples like
a. The story is a parrot's cry. (parrots are known for their undue alarm).

EducationWhich Is Most Important? Name Or Fame? by AROLEinspired(op): 5:52pm On Apr 06, 2017
NAME, they say
creates your presence. Pointing out that you really
exist.Your records,degrees, achievement, all
bear your name.

Then, you do some
great work with people interacting with you. They get to know you, respect you, and at times envy your great works. They tell other people about you
and by and large you get some
fame.

Then, your name slowly loses its
importance.

People know you by
face. They recognize you by face but still your name matters because you
never gonna meet every
people.

Surmisely, Fame is built on the basis
of name.

For so long, I thought maturity is all about growing up, reaching puberty age, having coarse voice and so on, like 18yrs and above. But later, I found out that age is only but a number.
So I went into knowing what MATURITY is all about.

EducationWhen You Should Use "Avenge" And "Revenge" by AROLEinspired(op): 9:25pm On Apr 02, 2017
To Avenge is to take vengeance for or on behalf
of someone. This means when you avenge, you are repaying an evil, harm, wrong or injury on behalf of another person. E.g. Sola vowed to avenge their murdered father.

Revenge on the other hand, means to repay or retaliate an injury or wrong done to oneself. One can only revenge any wrong to one by another person.

SURMISELY, avenge is used when you are clearing or vindicating someone from any wrong done while revenge is used when you are fighting for or vindicating yourself after someone might have injured or done evil to you.

Please, do you get me? Any question or comment?
