Thanks @iyoti. I'm mainly interested in the NSE. I don't intend to do the actual trading myself and I wasn't sure that was even possible here in Nigeria. I have a brokerage I'm currently using but they don't have an online service for clients. I find emailing a scanned order, then calling, and calling to remind, and calling to confirm, and calling to get my statement very very inefficient. And their customer service [at least to "small" investors as myself] is crap. My needs are much simpler: Just being able to send a purchase/sale order via a web form and be sure it will be executed as quickly as possible, and be notified when it has; and not worry that it'll be ignored until I pester somebody over the phone. Being able to see in a table the details of the stocks I own (including dividends & bonuses). Submitting certificates without hassle. And quick response customer service -preferably via email- to respond to any issues I might have. I've asked around and a couple of recommendations have come up repeatedly: - BGL - CashCraft - Investment One - Meristem Additional recommendations are welcome (with reason/example/personal experience) Now, the issue is to choose one that best meets my needs |
I'm looking for a good, honest, and transparent securities company to use as stockbrokers. Most especially one that has an online platform. I need to be able to login to a website and veiw my portfolio with details. I need to be able to pay into the brokerage's account via my debit card. I need to be able to fill a web form to place a sale or purchase order. I need to be able to see when the transactions have been effected. I need to be able to see things like when bonuses and dividends have been declared on the shares I own. etc. I don't want to have to talk on the phone or send SMS to do any of the above I also need one with very good customer service so in case there's an issue I can communicate via email and get prompt responses. Thanks. |

from themovieblog.com Disney Hopes to Return to More Classical 2D Animation The Princess and the Frog will be bringing us to something old and something new. The first black “Disney Princess” character will be introduced and it also marks a return to the classical animation style that Disney is so well known for. [/img] News today also shares that this is not a one shot deal and that Disney hopes to produce more classic hand drawn animated features! Firstshowing shares: Walt Disney Animation Studios visual effects supervisor Marlon West, who has spent the last few years working on Disney’s The Princess and the Frog. While he did share a few short behind-the-scenes videos showing his work in that movie so far, the biggest bit of news to come out of the presentation came during the question and answer session, where West mentioned that Disney is looking to continue making one 2D hand drawn animated movie once every two or so years from now on I find it interesting that in a world where the technology is redefining the landscape for animated features, that such pioneers like Disney (and in part to their relationship) and Pixar would consider taking a step that some might consider backwards. I was intrigued to find out that they were producing another classical animated feature, though clearly helped out with less traditional digital methods, but now to find out that they had so much fun going old school that they intend to continue releasing this style of animation. And why not? Now that Disney and Pixar have kissed and made up, do they really need to have their own 3d animation studio? I figured that Disney would leave the animating up to Pixar and they would focus more on their own live action features but I am really looking forward to seeing what comes out of this. As for the Princess and the Frog, I haven’t seen much about it aside from the style of animation behind it, so I have no idea if this will herald a return to cinematic gold like Aladdin or Lion King, but hopefully it will mean they will do this instead of direct to DVD sequels. |

I'm no pro, but from the little I've learnt, here are a few tips: 1. after scanning your drawing, unlock the layer then DESATURATE it. 2. use "Levels" (i.e.: Image>Adjustments>Levels, ) to make the whites white and the blacks black. and to remove any unwanted grey ares. 3. use a white brush to further remove any unwanted grey areas. 4. when u are satisfied, set the blend mode of the layer to "Multiply" and lock it. 5. create a new layer and drag it beneath the layer with the drawngs 6. color away on your new layer. hint: put different colors on different layers, also make frequent use of groups. hope this helps, |
