Appointments Of Four Commissioners For Education And Two Commissioners For Works; Another Circle Of Unpleasant Wastage - Delta APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Delta State, notes with concern the recent appointments of four Commissioners for education and two Commissioners for works! The worries of Delta APC is predicated on the fact that because of economic downturn plaguing the world, saner Goverments are circumspect in decisions that have the potential to depleting States' scarce resources.

Recent events in Delta State have shown that the PDP led-Government have scored hat-trick in economic wastages and indifference to the economic well-being of Deltans! True to the boasting of the Governor about three months ago that he was going to play politics to the detriment of good governance, his recent appointments have shown that he no longer cares about the ordinary Deltans but only his ego.

While Deltans are yet to recover from the economic drains of over two thousand unwanted appointed political Aides who are mostly dead woods, the Governor has once again placed more financial burden on Deltans by appointing four Commissioners for education and two Commissioners for works!

The portfolios for the education Commissioners are; Commissioner for higher education, Commissioner for technical education, Commissioner for basic and secondary education and Commissioner for primary education.

Delta Woman Petitions IGP, AGF Over Unlawful Detention Of Husband

...Says Court Granted Her Husband Bail On Three Occasions But Was Denied By Police

The Attorney General of the Federation, (AGF), Abubakar Malami (SAN), Inspector General of Police, Baba Akali Usman and other security agencies has been petitioned over unlawful detention of one Mr. Sunday Okoro about a year now on allegation of threat to life in Sapele, Sapele local government area of Delta state.

The petitioner and wife of the detained, Mrs. Rose Okoro, said her 14 years old son, was also arrested, handcuffed with the father and paraded like a common criminals while their telephones were confiscated, adding that her son was in detention for over three weeks before he was released, but that her husband was refused bail on several attempts by her lawyer.

Mr. Sunday Okoro was arrested by the complainant, Mr. Sunny Nwankego at Sapele, Sapele local government area of Delta state on September 9th, 2020, on allegation of threat to life, about a year.

Mrs. Okoro said their lawyer had made several attempts where her husband, Mr. Sunday Okoro, was granted bail on three different occasions but was refused bail by police, rearrested and taken to another court on same allegation of threat to life by his prosecutor, allegedly acting on the instructions of the team leader, Abba Kyari for no just course, hence her husband still in detention for about a year now.

Eight years of diligent service to Access Bank Nigeria Plc have been thrown into ashes as the battle to save her image and family's life have forced Mrs Confidence Nwabuokei to resign as a support staff of the financial institution.

The ugly events which led to her forced disengagement from the bank, started on 26th February, 2021, a day after the birthday of One Mrs Oluchi Nwabuikwu, the Manager of Branch 025 opposite FMC Asaba, Delta State, who reportedly misplaced her car keys during a birthday party held at the bank’s premises.

Narrating the ordeal to Journalists with the support of her Husband, Barr. Justice Nwabuokei, Mrs Nwabuokei stated that, she was falsely accused of stealing the manager's car keys, assaulted and subsequently threatened by the trio of Oluchi Nwabuikwu, Edward Nnaji and Ifeanyi Onwukwe who are all staff of Access Bank Plc.

Due to the unlawful detention she was made to pass through; for over 5 hours without her usual lunch and in an enclosed room with fixed cold temperature of an Air Conditioner, her health deteriorated further having been on medication for fever and malaria, as all pleas to turn down the Air Conditioner were rebuffed.

According to her, on April 12, 2021, nearly two months after the birthday party, she found a car key on the floor of the bank. She inquired of a colleague to ascertain if the key was the one declared missing by the Manager. Failing to verify the ownership of the key and they abandoned it at the spot. However, another staff who found the keys, presented it to the manager who confirmed it was hers.

The Police in Delta have arrested an okada rider by name Onoriode Simon who was alleged to be complicit in the murder of a fish trader lured to a nearby farm to purchase fresh pepper on a market day at Umeh in Isoko South LGA of Delta State.

Onoriode was among 16 suspected criminals paraded by the Delta State Police Commissioner, CP Ari Mohammed Ali on Wednesday 4th August, 2021.

The 2nd defendant, Ojokojo Robinson Obajero, the 63 years old herbalist who allegedly used the deceased body parts to prepare money ritual concoctions, could not come down from the prison vehicle as he was suspected to be suffering from stroke.
