Students now have more access to AI than ever, but having an AI chatbot does not automatically make studying easier.

A student may have lecture notes, PDFs, documents or photographed materials and still have to figure out how to summarize them, simplify difficult concepts, identify important definitions, create revision questions and ask useful follow-up questions.

That is the problem Sumri was built to solve.

Sumri is a purpose-built AI study app that turns your own supported study materials into a structured Study Kit.

A Study Kit can include:

• Academic Summary — organizes the main ideas from the material
• Simple Explanation — explains difficult material more simply
• Definitions — identifies and explains important terms and concepts
• Smart Quiz — creates questions for revision and self-testing
• Ask — lets you ask follow-up questions about the material you are studying

You can study from supported notes, PDFs, documents, images and public links.

Sumri also supports English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Hindi and Simplified Chinese, and you can choose the language of your Study Kit independently from the app-interface language.

The idea is not to create another general AI chat. It is to give students a study environment built around the material they actually need to understand.

I would particularly appreciate feedback from Nigerian students and educators who try it. What part of studying takes the most time for you today, and what would you want an app like Sumri to make easier?
