Crowd1, a popular Swedish Crypto Investment firm, has been selling its investment products to Nigerians.

However, recent findings indicate a dark. dirty and illicit pilfering of huge sums of money earmarked for investment by unsuspecting investors who have come to rely on Crowd1 as a safe Investment haven for their savings, a bitter lie most of them later discovered that they were indeed dealing with another unfortunate episode of a Ponzi scheme.

In what seems to be their organizational strategy, the Company sold a fake dream of investing a small amount to gain a large sum of money in varied investment circles with the shortest possible span to be within minutes of investing.

More like investing a penny to reap a pound, in this context, investing kobos to reap large sums of Naira within a short period most times hours.

This investment method, which promises quick returns within a short period, lacks logic in real economic terms.

A well-known Nollywood actor/producer and real estate investor, Mike, also known as MOC, fell victim to their scheme after responding to a Facebook ad promoting Crowd1's products.

Mr. Emmanuel, a Crowd1 affiliate, played a crucial role in convincing their victims of the legitimacy of their scheme. Below is a screenshot of their initial conversation, tailored to win Mike over as a lead.

Crowd1, founded by Swedish business mogul Jonas Eric Werner and his partner Johan Stael Von Holstein, who supposedly serves as the CEO, has faced bans in several countries due to its nefarious activities, which are structured like a pyramid scheme

Paraguay, New Zealand, The Philippines, New Zealand, Burundi, Namibia, Gabon, Vietnam, and Ivory Coast; have all banned the services of Crowd1 from their respective countries owing to the widespread report on citizens losing their investments to the pseudo-Crypto Investment company.

They have expanded their business interests to Nigeria, a significant market in Africa with over 200 million population, as well as India, another large global market with a population of one billion people.

The harsh living conditions in these countries, where poverty and unemployment are prevalent, have driven many desperate citizens to seek additional sources of income to supplement their meager earnings.

Unfortunately, this is where Crowd1 comes in with their aggressive marketing tactics and fraudulent click baits to lure unsuspecting victims with their lead magnets, only to drain them of their hard-earned money.

Mike experienced the bitterness that comes with the deceitful messaging of Crowd1 after investing a total of N50,000, as seen in the screenshot below.

After the payment, MOC was asked to make an additional deposit of N28,550 in what the recruiter regarded as “KUWAIT FEE (whatever that means).

From the above evidence, it can be easily seen that Crowd1 ked by the trio of Jonas, Johal, and Renze, has been reaping off innocent Nigerians in the name of making them financially buoyant and self-sufficient with no recourse to following the proper etiquettes and responsible financial practices.

For this reason, MOC and others like him have lost their money to a ruthless gang of frauds who rely on their robust and aggressive marketing tactics to serendipitously arm-twist their victims to part with their savings albeit subtly.

We urge the Federal Government through the right agencies, to look into the activities of CROWD1 which employs crazy marketing campaigns mostly online to cajole “investors” to sign up for their pyramid scheme all in the bid to be rewarded via huge financial kickbacks, only to lose their savings to this illegitimate company.

Question 1. Let's meet you ?


Wealthboy: I am Joseph Owosogba, an Singer, Songwriter, Dancer, Businessman as well as an actor. I go by the name Wealthboy

Question 2 . Why Wealthboy, is they any hidden intonation to the name?

Wealthboy: I chose the name because I love being wealthy, and I ve got bigger dreams as it pertaining to the name.

Question 3. So what really made you choose music or did music choose you?

Wealthboy: Actually I’ve never dreamt of doing anything else except music. I've always seen myself performing in the midst of a huge crowd. Again, music is the only thing I love doing which I can never get bored while doing.

Question 4. What's your genre of music?

Wealthboy: 4.afrobeat and Afro rages

Question 5. What are the challenges of doing music especially in Nigeria?

Wealthboy: The challenges we face in Nigeria as musical artists are quite numerous. Firstly there are lots of talents, and doing music is kind of expensive. Then it is also not easy for artists without labels and better financial situations.


Question 6. You are working on your debut EP, can you tell us more about it?

Wealthboy: The EP "Big Baby Vibes" is my first project. It is already online on every major digital streaming service. It is is six track compilation and we have already shot the visuals for the single " Little Light" (

Wealthboy: Currently every artist in Nigeria doing good music I consider them as role models. But American Rapper and platinum recording artist - Snoop Dogg is one of my major inspiration and role models.

Wealthboy: Very big , doing good music especially for my fans who love my kinda sounds. I also love traveling, so I will really love round the world to try new things,explore new cultures and gain more knowledge and experience doing so.

Question 9. Word of advice for others who want to do music ?

Wealthboy: Keep doing the best of you,and believe in your dreams with lots of positive vibes, because success comes from what you do constantly, and not from what you temporarily do. Persistence and perseverance will see you through and take you to the top.

Born Fast-rising Afrobeat Artist cum Nollywood Actor christened Ugochukwu Kelvin Obinwanne on November 14, 1992 is a Nigerian music artiste, actor and businessman, with an illustrious career spanning close to a decade, already has an impressive discography that comprises two EPs and over fifteen singles under his belt.


The artiste cum actor, who hails from Umuofeke Amaifeke in Orlu local council of Imo State, is the third in a family of four and also the first son of his father, and descends from a long line of kings.

His stint as a chorister helped horn the young Ugovin into the superstar he has become today, and it all began with him writing and performing gospel songs as a member of the Christ Embassy choral group of his local branch.

He visited both India and Bangladesh for an exclusive event to showcase his talent, a move solely made in his bid to promote Afrobeat to the world, as well as to build a strong and reliable personal brand and fanbase.

As an actor, Ugovin has truly strut his stuff on the big screen alongside top-notch actors like Zubby Michaels.

His filmography is quite extensive and has made both major and cameo appearances in movies like ‘Challenge Me If You Can’ alongside Zubby Michaels, ‘White Virgins 3′, with Regina Daniels, a major role in ‘The Virgin Priestess 2’, starring Destiny Etiko, and a host of others.

On the music side of things, Ugovin has put in so much work by releasing visuals for tracks like, ‘Your Love’ featuring Nedu, ‘Beautiful’, ‘My Heart’, and ‘One for the Road’.

A prince renowned for his impeccable test and regal disposition, he is the ‘supposed’ heir apparent to the throne of Umuofeke Amaifeke kingdom, being the first son of his father, Ugovin has the right of ascension in the event of the demise of his father to the throne of his kingdom.

However, he declined the royal position, just like his father before him, citing his strong Christian faith and background that does not conform to traditional rites and dogmas, as the reason for this renunciation.

Ugovin is a man on a mission to break new grounds, reject stereotypes, surmount obstacles and establish himself by creating successful models, as well as charting the course that will help guide him on the right trajectory to success.

Regarding his next move, especially in the years to come, Ugovin said, “I see myself so big to the extent of dominating the game with my face splashed on every billboard across the country and beyond the borders of Nigeria to Europe, America, Asia, and within the African continent.”

Nigerian songwriter and singer, Ugochukwu Obinwanne popularly called Ugovin has revealed that he can not date a lady who asks him out.

According to the Nollywood actor cum musician, "asking him out is a red flag".

THE NATION reports that Ugovin said this in a recent chat with one of their media personnel.

Ugovin emphasized that the African culture and his family background are against women who shoot there shot to men first.
