thanks olawale balogun. i love this report. i think the most important thing is to create more awareness and sensitize the public what explosives is. let the public including the military, police, sss, customs, nafdac etc knw that there is different between explosives and bomb. its gladdens my heart that you mentioned in your piece the many uses of explosives locally and internationally. without explosives importation into this country and moving it to the users e.g julius, pw; rcc; quarries etc, cement and other by-products will be very hard to purchase and this will bring more hardship and job loss to people.

i believe the engineers in the military and police who are minners knws the different between explosives and bomb, in order words the importers of explosives in nigeria should be appreciated than making them going through rigorous inspection and harsh policies from the nigerian regulatory authorities such as nafdac, police bomb squad department (EOD), the military personnel; customs and sss for easy and smooth running of their business.

it will interest you to know that with the harsh policy roled out by the IG and NSA, explosives market is no longer profitable, to breakeven is like a carmel passing through the eye of a needle, courtesy of the regulatory authorities.
