I do not see these guys losing elections o. They keep winning all the local govt elections which is critical for winning governorship and presidential o. Most Nigerians who are smart dont vote which is a problem. Those who vote are mainly hungry illiterates who can be bought for 2k. That is the bigger issue. A similar thing happened in imo state during the election that brought rochas okoroch into power in his first term. The election was very interesting, because the people of imo state were very determined to vote out the incumbent governor, ohakim. I served as a presiding officer in one of the polling units in onuimo. LGA of the state. I noticed that the people did not give inec a breathing space to rig the election. Ohakim spent so much on inec and the voters. Voters actually collected much money and still followed their mind. They were at the polling center till the end of the day, and still followed their votes to the last pomt. This is. 21st century for crying out loud, if the people of imo state could do it then, when inec had the powe r to pad result sheets as they like and still use it, how much more now the chances of using padded result sheets is very slim? I encourage everyone to participate fully in the next election. Let's not still at home or play street football during the election. We can make it.

Tinubu is no gentle man politician. He won't give up power easily.

Has anyone ever wondered why most politicians with questionable characters openly declare their support for Tinubu? Nigerians need to think deeply about this.

We keep complaining about bad leadership, yet we allow the same set of politicians to recycle themselves in power. This is an opportunity for Nigerians to weed out these people who have contributed to the decay of our nation.

Imagine retiring these politicians from public office and making Nigeria so uncomfortable for them that they cannot even enjoy their loot in peace.

If Obi wins, one of the first things he should do is reform the judicial system. Politicians found guilty of embezzling public funds should be tried and sentenced without unnecessary delays. No more dragging corruption cases for years. A trial should not exceed one month, provided the case can fairly be concluded within that period.

An independent panel should also be established to investigate corrupt judges and Lawmakers. Any Judge or Lawmaker found guilty of corruption should face severe punishment, including nothing less than 16 years in prison.

Electoral reform is another major priority. Every Nigerian above 18 should be registered to vote, just as the government has made NIN and BVN registration a priority. We should also explore a secure, transparent electronic voting system that allows people to independently verify that their votes were properly counted without compromising ballot secrecy.

Voter education should be introduced into our school curriculum so that Nigerians understand the importance of their votes and the consequences of electing bad leaders.

Electoral malpractice, including rigging, violence and deliberate disenfranchisement, should attract severe punishment. Anyone found guilty after a fair trial should face consequences strong enough to discourage others from doing the same.

More correctional centres should be built to accommodate people convicted of minor and medium-level crimes.

Kidnapping, terrorism, murder, electoral malpractice and public fund embezzlement should be treated as major crimes, attracting capital punishment where legally applicable or nothing less than 20 years in prison, depending on the offence. Anyone convicted of embezzling public funds should also be compelled to return the stolen money. If they refuse to surrender their loot, they should face additional penalties, including longer prison terms where permitted by law.

Independent foreign auditors should periodically audit the accounts of local governments, state governments and the Federal Government. Their findings should be made public, and anyone found guilty of financial misconduct should be prosecuted.

Nigeria cannot continue like this.

The problem is not just Tinubu or any other individual. The real problem is a system that allows politicians to steal public funds, manipulate elections and get away with it.

Until we build a system where politicians, judges and public officials are held accountable for their actions, we will keep moving in circles.

We need a country where stealing public funds has serious consequences, where nobody is above the law, and where public office is treated as a responsibility, not an opportunity to enrich oneself.

This is the kind of Nigeria we should be fighting for.

by election is a different issue when compared to the general election. Obi was rigged out in the last election and the whole world knows it. In the last election ,LP won in almost all the states in Nigeria. In fact LP won some elections without candidates. All we need to do this time is just to focus on inec and make sure that the results are uploaded very well before we leave the polling units. Your tinubu greatest weapon has been weakend by the law. The chances of the use of padded result sheets by inec is now very slim. And there must be a cogent reasons for using them. The only thing I want to tell all opposition leaders vying for elective positions from President to Governor to Senate to House of Reps is this:

Don't ever hope on Nigerian courts or Supreme Court! Forget about going to court after the result is declared, it's a waste of time and resources, gone are the days those election petition tribunal courts can be trusted to deliver sound judgment.

Do the fighting for the right thing to be done during the voting and hold INEC officials accountable until they announce the real result as voted by the people.

Tell all your polling unit agents and collation center agents to say no to bribery, so enlighten them ahead and support them financially and otherwise to stand their ground.

If possible, every of the main opposition parties should build their own election result server made public before election day and let their polling unit agents snap the result sheets and upload on their party's realtime result viewing server instantly as the polling unit result is announced.

This is the only way to stop INEC from conniving with APC to rig 2027 general election.

Say no to election petition tribunal. It is no longer reliable. They are compromised and should be avoided by all opposition parties. Nigerian courts are now part of APC political party, don't say I didn't warn you all!

it is me and you that will make votes not to count. I was a presiding officer in Onuimo lga of imo state during the election that brought Rochas Okorocha into power as the governor of the state in his first term. He defeated an incumbent governor, ohakim. In that election, people of imo state were very earger to remove Ohakim then. They voted overwhelming for Rochas and protected their votes to the state inec headquarter. A similar situation occured in the just concluded governorship election in Osun state. If the people of Imo state could do it then when the use of padded result sheets was in the hands of the inec to decide, I believe we can do it more now it is the last option with a very strong reason for using them.

We must get it right this time. We should not mind those who are supporting this government that has dented our image globally. Those guys don't know what they are doing, they are paid for their support. Let's every sane Nigerian be prepared to participate fully in the coming election and also protect their votes to the last point with their lives. Apc will be happy to see few voters, so that they can easily buy them over.

In this government, states are being invaded by governments sponsored terrorists on daily basis. It will be better for us to die while protecting our votes than to die in the in the hands of these government sponsored terrorists. Nobody knows the next victims of these terrorists since they don't have a clear purpose for their attack.
