Education / Now Everybody Blame ASUU, Let Listen From Both Sides by AtabohEmmanuel(m): 7:29pm On Aug 21, 2022
MY MUSINGS ON FG OFFER TO ASUU
1. Revitalization is only a promise in next year's budget. Our strike has not achieved this for now.
2. EAA of two tranches is promised in next year's budget. We have not achieved anything yet.
3. Renegotiated agreement has yielded nothing; only a promised of 30k-60k in next year's budget.
4. No report with respect to visitation panels
5. UTAS has not been accepted even in principle and no trusts the government will deploy it.
6. The least lowest rank lecturer has about 600k to lose in six months
7. The most senior professor has about 2.8m to lose in six months
8. No salaries increment as of now.
9. Why waste our time and suffer with our children staying at home because we don't have money for school fees, food, health, transportation, etc for six months and call off strike without achieving anything?
10. Why waste parents and students resources and time and then call off strike without achieving anything?
11. Why lose money of about 600k - 2.8m to come and receive between 30-60k next year
12. What will be our gain and Nigerians gain should we suspend the strike now?

Education / ASUU Is A Problem by AtabohEmmanuel(m): 1:27pm On Aug 20, 2022
Very soon ASUU will ask why is Dangote richer than them since they have PhD and professors. Any ASUU member that prefers Ahmed's salary to his should go and fight for that position and see how easy it is to cling it.

It's clear in the bible, pride comes before fall. ASUU believe they are more important than every other persons and so, nothing should be acrued if possible to any other parastatal except education. That's greed.

ASUU have lost support from most of their students and Nigerians at large.

If we like, make Emmanuel Ayodeji the president of Nigeria, ASUU will still go on strike.

One of the longest strike was in 2014 when we had ASUU former members as both president and minister for education ie Dr Goodluck Jonathan and Professor Rukayat from BUK, one of the strong hold of ASUU. I'm pretty sure she's also on strike as I write.

FG might have their share of the blem but the larger proportion of the blame is to ASUU.

Let their members keep writing long articles every day, Nigerians now know the truth. The article might win but can't win in reality. Beside in primary school I once won a debate between Jesus and Satan. So nothing new in their articles

Sports / Man Utd To Listen To Offers For Wan-bissaka by AtabohEmmanuel(m): 3:12pm On May 19, 2022
Aaron Wan-Bissaka doesn't feature in new manager Erik ten Hag's plans; Wan-Bissaka will be allowed to leave permanently or on loan; the defender was signed for £50m by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Manchester United will allow defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka to leave this summer.

Wan-Bissaka has enjoyed a mixed time at United since being signed for £50m by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from Crystal Palace in 2019.

He was the first-choice right-back during Solskjaer's reign but has faced increased competition from Diogo Dalot under interim boss Ralf Rangnick.

Wan-Bissaka's attacking output has often been questioned during his time at Man United, especially in comparison to the number of assists and goals produced by other English full-backs in the Premier League like Trent Alexander Arnold and Reece James.

Wan-Bissaka could be one of a number of players to leave Old Trafford this summer. Nemanja Matic has confirmed his exit, with Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard, Paul Pogba, Edinson Cavani and Lee Grant also expected to leave once their contracts expire.

New United manager Erik ten Hag arrived in London on Wednesday and is holding transfer meetings with assistant manager Mitchell van der Gaag, who will follow him to Old Trafford from Ajax.

Politics / No Wonder Everyone Wants To Be President – Peter Psquare On Acct Gen. Arrest by AtabohEmmanuel(m): 11:46am On May 19, 2022
Peter Okoye of Psquare music group has reacted to the arrest of the Accountant General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris.

Recall that Idris was suspended by the Minister of Finance, budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed.

His suspension came after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, arrested him for allegedly diverting funds and laundering N80billion.

Shocked by the news, Peter urged Nigerian leaders to have conscience.

According to him, siphoning of public funds seems to be the reason everyone is contesting to be the next President of Nigeria.

The 40-year-old musician said this via his Twitter page.

His tweet read: “Just one that was appointed by the President looted 80 billion! Ahhhh! No wonder everybody wants to be the PRESIDENT of Nigeria!

“Chisus! 80 Billion! Abeg make una dey try get conscience na!”
